The Royal College of Radiologists is seeking a Service Desk Support Coordinator to join our high performing and well respected IT team. The team supports both day to day office users and the College’s expanding, business critical examinations operations, which represent a significant part of our income and reputation.

This role is central to the delivery of excellent IT services. You will provide 1st and 2nd line support to end users, contribute to the ongoing maintenance of our IT infrastructure, and work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Your focus will always be on delivering outstanding customer service, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and ensuring a positive experience for every user.

As the Service Desk Support Coordinator, you’ll be the approachable and knowledgeable face of IT at the Royal College of Radiologists. Acting as the first point of contact, you’ll support staff, Officers, Examiners, and remote users with IT and Audio Visual systems. From resolving technical issues and managing service requests, to supporting high stakes examinations and ensuring meeting spaces run flawlessly, your work will have a visible and meaningful impact across the organisation.

What you’ll do:

• Provide responsive, customer focused IT support via Freshdesk, Microsoft Teams, email, phone, and in person
• Log, manage, and resolve IT support tickets in line with agreed SLAs
• Support a wide range of technologies including Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and mobile devices
• Assist with user onboarding, training, and the creation and upkeep of technical documentation
• Deliver reliable Audio Visual and video conferencing support for meetings and events
• Provide IT support for examinations and events, occasionally outside standard working hours
• Work collaboratively with HR, Digital Products teams, and external technology partners

What you’ll need:

• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent practical experience in IT Service Management
• Hands on experience with service desk ticketing systems and supporting Windows and macOS environments

Role Responsibilities  

• Manage and respond to those who contact UK for UNHCR directly by email, phone or mail and escalate queries where necessary.
• Deliver a first-class supporter experience and ensure each point-of-contact works to build and develop the engagement journey.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date supporter records within the charity database, assist with data administration, and ensure data is handled in accordance with regulations.
• Champion supporter care best practice by resolving supporter pain points, sharing supporter insights and feedback with colleagues, and supporting fundraising teams in evaluating campaign performance to identify opportunities to improve the supporter journey.
• Assist with fulfilment agency briefs and quality control measures.
• Work with teams, agencies and third-party platforms to deliver donation processing and campaign fulfilment, ensuring efficient donor acknowledgment
• Support fundraising teams during emergencies.
• Support the fundraising team to deliver high quality in person events in as well as virtual stewardship events.
• Provide personalised in-house thanking for different supporter segments and deliver thanking initiatives such as a thankathons.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for supporter engagement activities and stewardship events, including coordination of materials, attendance lists and on-the-day support.

About Adolescent Health Study

The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records. There will be a strong emphasis on engaging with and involving young people, schools, parents and other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the study, as well as on including young people that represent as wide as possible a range of backgrounds, experiences and characteristics. AHS will focus on enabling a wide range of research, including studies of the critical biological and social developments that occur during the transition from childhood to adulthood and the determinants of both mental and physical health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults.

Purpose of the post

The Administrative Coordinator will play a key role in providing administrative, coordination and financial support across AHS. The role focuses on managing core systems, inboxes and documents, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and compliant. Acting as a central point for organisation, the postholder will coordinate meetings, support teams with routine administrative tasks, and contribute to smooth financial processes. They will help maintain effective workflows in a virtual environment, escalating issues as needed to keep daily operations running efficiently.

Main responsibilities

Administration and Systems Management

• Manage AHS central inbox(es) and escalate matters to the Business Administrator and Business Manager as appropriate
• Provide day-to-day administrative support including preparing, filing, archiving and retrieving documents
•  Manage and update shared digital platforms, databases and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Manage administrative functions such as task tracking in a fully virtual environment

Team Coordination and Support

• Coordinate meetings and workshops, including scheduling and logistics, for AHS team members and external parties as required

Finance Delivery and Support

• Manage the AHS finance inbox, directing queries and escalating issues as needed
• Support invoice processing, including maintaining accurate records

Operational Delivery and Implementation

• Provide hands-on support to teams and managers in rolling out new tools, systems and operational processes that are critical for the success of the longitudinal study
• Support the smooth, day-to-day running of business operations, ensuring tasks and processes are completed efficiently
• Identify operational issues or bottlenecks, propose practical solutions where appropriate, and escalate matters to the Business Administrator and Business Manager

• Experience of working in a health and/or data research environment
• Qualified to A level or vocational qualifications, or equivalent, plus some experience in a relevant role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software

Job Purpose:

The primary role of the Gift Aid Officer is to oversee the management of Gift Aid Claims, and other forms of tax-efficient giving, within the Fundraising team. This includes reviewing the production and submission of MSF’s Gift Aid claims to HMRC each month via a 3rd party, preparing data and submissions for other types of tax efficient giving, such as Discretionary Trusts and identifying and implementing opportunities to maximise this income channel for MSF.

They are also the main point of contact for the Fundraising team, providing training and advice on Gift Aid, and maintaining relevant user guides and documentation. The Gift Aid Officer will also liaise directly with supporters on Gift Aid queries.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 

• Experience in the practical use of personal IT equipment and Microsoft Office 365 suite. The ability to effectively collaborate and communicate within a hybrid working environment utilising Teams, SharePoint, One Drive and Yammer.
• Demonstrable working knowledge of HMRC’s Gift Aid Scheme and processes
• Considerable experience of Gift Aid management within a fundraising environment

• Experience of working with 3rd parties on Gift Aid claims and processes

Deaf Unity is a deaf-led charity working to empower deaf people and champion their rights. We support deaf individuals to move successfully from education into employment and beyond. 

We are now at an exciting stage of growth and are looking for a proactive and highly organised Services Coordinator to help develop and expand our income-generating services. This is a key role within a small, ambitious organisation where your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on the deaf community.

About the role

This is a hands-on, varied role where you will lead on the coordination, development and promotion of Deaf Unity’s services. These include communication support (CSWs), interpreting provision, translation services, and a growing jobs board.

What you’ll be doing

Service coordination and delivery

• Managing requests for Communication Support Workers (CSWs), BSL Interpreters and Translation services
• Matching clients with appropriate professionals and ensuring a high-quality, reliable service

• Managing freelance staff, including rotas, onboarding and compliance (DBS, insurance, etc.)

About you

We are looking for someone who is organised, self-motivated and confident building relationships. You will be comfortable managing your own workload and taking initiative to develop services.

You will ideally have:

• Experience managing services, projects or freelance provision
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Experience in outreach, sales or building partnerships
• Confidence working independently and managing multiple priorities
• A genuine commitment to accessibility, inclusion and deaf empowerment

Knowledge of the deaf community and communication support services (e.g. interpreting, CSWs) is highly valued.

Essential:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to promote services and meet targets
• Ability to manage administration alongside relationship-building

Desirable:

• BSL Level 2 or above
• Experience using CRM systems
• Knowledge of interpreting or communication support best practice
