Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assisted Information Officer to join us in delivering our comprehensive front line HIV and sexual health helpline service. You will need to have excellent communication and support skills, be able to deal with sensitive and challenging issues and be quick to learn new information. Ideally you will have experience of providing information and support through a variety of channels including the telephone, email and live chat and have a good knowledge of HIV and sexual health issues.

Working alongside other Assisted Information Officers, volunteers and Generalist Advisors you will be  providing information, advice, emotional support, referral and signposting. You will also be actively involved in supporting and mentoring volunteers, service referrals and updating key information resources. 

Full training and support will be provided. All applicants need to be able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing priorities and be flexible enough to cover the service opening hours on a rota basis (10am-6pm Monday to Friday and some weekends on request).
