Overview of the Team  

The Corporate Services team provides essential strategic and operational support across the organisation. Our governance function oversees compliance, risk management, and performance frameworks. The finance team manages budgets, financial planning, and reporting. All of this contributes to effective decision making. We are also responsible for looking after our properties, which includes maintaining oversight of two commercial leases, and maintaining Dartmouth House which is a grade II* listed events venue and our Head Office in Mayfair.

 Purpose of this role  

The Senior Governance Officer will provide high quality support to the Board of Trustees and its sub-Committees, and the Chief Operating Officer. This role will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Director General. 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being at the heart of an organisation’s operations—helping to keep the corporate services running smoothly, so that our Education and Supporter teams can focus on delivering impact through our programmes. 

Responsibilities and Expectations  

• Provide governance support including the preparation and timely circulation of agendas, papers, minutes and action logs for Board and Committee meetings. 
• Monitor and report on progress against Board and Committee actions, ensuring timely follow-up and delivery. 
• Ensure the charity complies with statutory, regulatory and sector best practice, including maintenance of key registers including the risk register, gift & hospitality register, declarations of interest, and compliance trackers. 
• Maintain the organisation’s contract register, tracking review dates and supporting internal contract reviews and renewals. 
• Provide high-quality administrative and organisational support to the Chief Operating Officer, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. 
• Assist with the planning and delivery of the annual external audit, working with colleagues and auditors to meet key deadlines. 
• Support the delivery of the annual Board effectiveness review, gathering feedback and helping to implement improvements. 
• Facilitate due diligence checks as needed, liaising with legal advisors to ensure accuracy and compliance. 
• Deliver one-off projects and provide flexible support across the Corporate Services team as required.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

We are now recruiting the team that will deliver Crisis at Christmas 2025. This unique project mobilises a huge volunteering effort to provide warmth, companionship and vital services in temporary centres across London to people facing homelessness.

Contract: Fixed term contract from 2 September 2025 to 27 February 2026

About the role

This role will involve building relationships with current and new corporate donors to ensure we can resource all the material donations we need to run the Crisis at Christmas centres in London.  Each year, we source gift in kind donations ranging from food and beverages to clothing, hairdressing equipment and toiletries. This is a varied role that involves researching donors, communicating with large corporate companies, managing volunteers, and running our yearly community donations drive.

About you

• Previous fundraising, project or event coordination or marketing experience. 

• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build relationships with partner organisations and donors at all levels and work collaboratively within a wider team. 

• Excellent attention to detail and data processing accuracy with experience of using Microsoft Office software, in particular Word, Excel, and SharePoint.   

• Good organisational and problem-solving skills. You should be able to manage multiple competing priorities and modify plans in response to unexpected complications.  

• A pro-active, positive attitude and willingness to get involved in hands on, manual tasks when required.

About the role:

The Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Drive Data Team Manager and Senior Managers within the Drive Partnership to ensure data and reporting remains rigorous and robust, and informs recommendations across the Drive Programme and partners. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for working with Cruse in partnership with SGN to support people experiencing a bereavement, with help and information to alleviate fuel poverty, enabling them to maintain a safe and warm home.

The Project Coordinator will work collaboratively across Cruse with our communications team, finance team, data team and service teams, to help extend the reach of these valuable services to bereaved people. This includes upskilling staff and volunteers with regard to fuel poverty, with training information and resources. 1. About Chance to Shine

We are Chance to Shine: a children’s charity dedicated to harnessing the power of cricket to transform the life prospects of young people in the UK.

It is our mission that all young people have the opportunity to play, learn and develop through cricket. We want them to learn a love of the game and to find a sense of belonging through the sport, developing their wider wellbeing and life skills to help fulfil their potential.

Established in 2005, we have a long-term track record of delivery in state schools and under-served communities, bringing best-in-class cricket programmes to young people aged 5 to 24 who might not otherwise have the opportunity to play. All our programmes are completely free for everyone involved, from schools and community groups to young people and their families.

2. Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a full time (37.5hrs per week) Executive and Office Assistant to support the Finance and Resources team at Chance to Shine. The Finance and Resources team provide day to day support to all departments in the charity and trading subsidiary, Chance to Shine Enterprises Ltd, around finance, office, governance, HR and general administration. The role is expected to be largely in person in our central London office.

3. Key Responsibilities

The Executive and Office Assistant’s responsibilities are in three areas:

Office Administration:

· Act as ‘front of house’ for visitors and guests and be first point of contact for telephone enquiries and ensure the office space is fully operational.

· Monitor the charity inbox and respond to general enquiries.

· Oversee and monitor the Office and Administration budget.

· Liaise with the office landlord, regarding the general office space, car-parking, meeting rooms and staff access. 

· Help manage offsite storage space.

· Administer IT support processes, first point of contact for IT support issues and managing IT supplier contracts; and administering staff IT requirements.

· Maintain up to date shared document area on sharepoint.

· Act as Health and Safety Officer responsible for all Health and Safety matters, and attend training as necessary.

Executive Support

· Support the CEO and Senior Management Team (SMT) on organising and following up internal meetings, Board meetings and company wide initiatives.

· Provide governance support to the CEO, Director of Finance and Resources and Trustees.

· Take the minutes/key actions of Board and Committee meetings.

· Support on the onboarding and induction of new Trustees.

· Maintain Trustees’ register of interest.

· Deliver ad hoc administrative support for the CEO and Finance & Resources Department.

· Ad hoc support at Chance to Shine events, such as fundraisers, media events and competitions.

HR Support

· Administrative support to the HR Manager for HR processes, including drafting letters, maintaining employee records and recruitment processes.

· Support the induction of new employees to CTS.

· Support the HR Manager with administering staff benefits, organisational training and annual appraisal process.

6. Experience & qualifications

Essential:

• Minimum of one year’s experience in a high volume, fast paced administrative role in a similar sized organisation
• Experience of working in customer facing role
• Experience in working in a small team with demonstrable flexibility and adaptability to support team deliverables

Desirable:

• Experience in an office or executive support role
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations or a willingness to train
• Experience working in a charity
• Experience in taking meeting minutes

Senior Finance Officer

14 hours per week

As our Senior Finance Officer you will contribute to Career Ready’s finance and operations function by providing high quality financial support to the charity. Working as part of a small team of three, you will perform core finance tasks and will support the Head of Finance and Operations with budgeting, reporting and auditing activities.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

Bookkeeping and Accounting

• Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into Xero Accounts
• Assist with the annual audit
• Maintain financial files and records
• Manage and reconcile the accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process payable invoices and staff expenses in line with fortnightly payment runs
• Perform credit control for maximum debt recovery
• Reconcile the bank statements for review the Head of Finance & Operations
• Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and budget monitoring reports

Support to the Partnerships and Income Teams

• Collating financial information for funding applications as required
• Monitoring expenditure on grant-funded programmes
• Preparing financial reports on receivable grants as required
• Maintain electronic files of funding agreements and contracts

Payroll

• To support with the administration of monthly salaried payroll for staff, and internship payroll throughout Jun-Sep each year
• To raise monthly salary journals for review by the Head of Finance & Operations
• To process payroll payments via online banking portals

Essential skills and experience required

· Fully or part qualified – AAT, ACCA or CIMA or qualified by experience

· Clear understanding of financial controls, compliance, and reporting frameworks

· Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

· Ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines

· Previous experience of computerised accounting and payroll e.g. Xero

· Previous experience of payroll administration that includes maintaining confidential data

· Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.

· Excellent attention to detail and high numeracy

· Ability to communicate financial information to different audiences

· Problem-solving ability

Desirable skills and experience

· To have an understanding of Charity Finance.

· Experience of working in a finance function in a charity

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £32,000 to £38,000 per annum FTE (pro rata for part time), depending on qualifications/experience

Home Ownership Officer

Salary:£36,961 pa

About the role

The Home Ownership Officer will play a key role in managing the relationship between Hastoe and its leaseholders, shared owners and freeholders. The role ensures compliance with leases, legislation and internal policies, while supporting residents with advice and managing a range of property and legal matters.

The role will also support the Home Ownership Manager in delivering a high-quality service to homeowners, ensuring compliance with leases, legislative requirements, and Hastoe policies.

Duties will include:

• Acting as the main point of contact for leaseholders and shared owners, dealing with queries related to leases, service charges and home ownership policies.
• Managing statutory and voluntary lease extensions, collective enfranchisement applications as well as staircasing, liaising with legal teams and valuers as needed.
• Investigating and resolving breaches of lease conditions, working with internal and external partners to achieve timely resolution.
• Carrying out administration aspects relating to resales, disposals, consultations and Ground Rent.
• Working with our solicitors to prepare cases for legal action including injunctions, money judgments, and forfeiture where necessary, and representing the organization at court or tribunal hearings.
• Liaising with finance teams to answer any service charge queries and to assist with the service charge estimates and actuals.
• Delivering excellent customer service, ensuring all queries are handled effectively and professionally.

About you

You will need to have proven experience in housing management, particularly in dealing with leaseholders and shared ownership leases, including the legal frameworks surrounding them. The role requires you to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to delivering high standards.

You will also need:

• Be educated to A-Level standard.
• Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• To be flexible and adaptable to change, with a willingness to learn and develop in the role.
• Where this isn’t already held, to be willing to study for a professional qualification in housing, property management, or a related field (e.g., CIH membership).
