As an Area Manager you will give leadership, direction and guidance to the staff of Medaille Trust to ensure the provision and development of a high quality service in line with the Trust’s Mission, Values and Strategy.

You will have a good understanding of the CQC framework relating to Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking.  You will carry out quarterly assurance audits in all safe houses ensuring any appropriate action is taken where necessary.

You will line manage, induct, mentor, coach and support Service Managers.  Additionally, you will ensure that any complaints, grievances and disciplinaries are investigated and responded to in an effective and timely manner in line with Medaille Policies.

Although the post is home based, the post holder will be expected to travel frequently to our safe houses within the South and London areas with some overnight stays.

You must have previous experience in a relevant sector or experience of working with adults that are vulnerable.  Experience of managing staff, carrying out line management, supervision and appraisals is essential.  Additionally, you must have experience of setting up Service User Engagement groups.

Yorkshire Wildlife Trust is one of the UK’s fastest growing nature conservation organisations and seeks to appoint an experienced Fundraising Manager.
 
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to drive forward relationship building and income generation across all income streams, especially Individual Giving including appeals and major donors, Corporates, Trusts & Foundations and Legacies.

You will collaborate across the Trust to develop innovative and compelling funding proposals, delivering excellent stewardship to existing donors, and identifying, researching and engaging new prospects. You will ensure continuous improvement and innovation and an appropriate balance of fundraising activity across all streams, evaluating new ideas for income generation and strategies for implementation. 

Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and Engagement you will develop the Fundraising Strategy, and as a member of the Extended Leadership Team, will be the lead for driving forward sustainable fundraising activity in collaboration with colleagues.
 
A compelling and engaging communicator, you’ll be adept at managing a portfolio of donors at different stages – from prospecting and cultivation through to ask, stewardship and retention, working at all levels of the Trust to achieve ambitious fundraising targets. 

You must have substantial experience working in a senior fundraising position with a natural talent for building positive relationships both internally and externally, developing a fundraising team and growing a mixed fundraising portfolio. Community Fundraising Manager

The Mencap Community and Events Team has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, motivated and passionate fundraiser,  dedicated to raising as much funds as possible to help make the UK the best place to live for people with a learning disability to join our team as Senior Community Fundraising Manager covering England and Wales.

Covering the England and Wales the Community Fundraising Manager will be responsible for managing various income streams across the Community portfolio working closely with the wider team.

Within this role, you will achieve agreed fundraising targets through effective management, support and cultivation of both existing and new regional supporters including: individuals, groups, associations, local corporates and schools whilst maximising the current portfolio of Mencap owned products. You will research, identify and develop new community fundraising opportunities, areas of potential support and build a robust pipeline for restricted grants and corporate partners.

The role is home based. There will be travel around the areas that the role covers.

This position is a permanent, full-time role to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. The nature of community fundraising is that there will be evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.

We currently have an opportunity for an Environmental Compliance Manager within our National Environment & Climate Action Team within the Strategy & Impact Directorate. The S&I directorate analyses current and emerging policy and sets the Trust’s strategy and standards for regional delivery across all the Trust’s activities. The Environment and Climate action team is responsible for delivering the Trust’s strategy and policy on all environment and climate related sustainability issues, including environmental compliance as a minimum and achieving biodiversity net gain.

Reporting to the Head of Environment and Climate action, the Environmental Management and Compliance manager role will be responsible for the Trust’s Environmental Management System and its associated policies, commitments, and standards, linked to the Trusts evolving sustainability and organisational strategies. The role will require establishing good relationships with other teams in the Trust to drive sound environmental practice from our operations and 3rd party activities.

Knowledge, Skills/Qualifications & Experience

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible for, and day-to-day management of the Trust’s environmental management system
• Deliver a programme of activities and updates to environmental standards, guidance and tools, ensuring that these are delivered on time and within budget. This forms part of a system refresh that will be delivered this financial year.
• Work with internal technical experts and the Trust’s legal team to ensure that the standards meet regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with Trust operational and delivery teams to ensure that standards are deliverable and align with existing and emerging business processes.
• Manage external technical input where requires (e.g. from consultants)
• Assist in the investigation of environmental incidents, near misses and ensure the production and dissemination of key learnings
• Preparation of board and Environmental Advisory Group (EAG) papers and acts as secretariat of EAG meetings
• Producing case studies and other examples of best practice for internal and external audiences
• Developing and delivering environmental training
• Displaying the Trust values and behaviours at all times.
• Ensuring that diversity and inclusion are integrated into all aspects of Trust life and promoting inclusion by challenging behaviour, practices, actions, or decisions that are counter to the objectives of the Trust’s policies and values.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

• IEMA Practitioner qualification or equivalent
• Experience of administering environmental management systems, including a good understanding of ISO14000 family of environmental standards.
• Authoring company standards and guidance
• Broad understanding of key environmental themes and associated legislation (Air Quality, Biodiversity, Water Quality, Waste, Pollution Prevention and Control, Invasive Species)
• Experience of investigating environmental incidents and near misses
• Working knowledge of GIS and using spatial data to support environmental strategies
• Project/ programme management skills
• Developing reporting systems and managing environmental data to report progress
• Developing project business cards

The role will be home-based, with the expectation to attend main regional hubs either at Milton Keynes, Birmingham, or Little Venice (Paddington), for collaborative working. This is a national role, requiring collaboration with teams in all six of the Trust’s regions. There will be an expectation that the successful candidate will be able travel to attend meetings or fieldwork throughout the regional waterway network.

About you

We are seeking candidates with experience in managing the development,  production and delivery of web content and digital products, including e-learning resources, videos, podcasts, and images, for a high traffic and information rich website.

Your role

As Assistant Shop Manager at Scope's Wakefield shop, you’ll work alongside the Shop Manager, and use your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be be generating and processing stock and designing an eye-catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding. You may also deputise and be responsible for running the shop when the shop manager is absent. A great attitude and willingness to learn are just as important as relevant experience.

About you

You’ll be a dedicated team player with a strong work ethic and committed to providing excellent customer service. You do not need specific retail experience. But we do ask that you are business minded and have worked in a fast paced, service environment where you put the customer’s needs first. We’re looking for a Senior Digital Engagement Manager to head up our Digital Team, taking the lead on driving forward the organisation’s digital marketing and communications. You’ll work with the Head of Marketing and Communications to develop and deliver the digital elements of the wider marketing and communications strategy, and line manage senior officers who lead the operations and development of our website, social media, email marketing and paid advertising activities.

About the role

This is an exciting role within the Volunteering Team. You’ll have responsibility for designing and piloting Shelter’s financial resilience volunteer programme in Leeds as well as supporting our nationwide volunteering programme. We’ll rely on you to use best practice volunteer management to design and pilot volunteering journeys from attraction, recruitment and training all the way through to ongoing support and exit. You’ll also be leading on evaluating the pilot and adapting our approaches based on learnings. The role involves collaborating with key stakeholders not only across Shelter but with our financial corporate partners to implement a volunteer programme that equips our volunteers to deliver their roles independently, whilst also having the biggest impact. Monitoring the contribution of volunteering activity, you’ll ensure our volunteers are recognised, celebrated, and feel valued for the part they play.

You will work closely with colleagues throughout our Volunteering Team to implement Shelter’s volunteering strategy   and contribute to a consistent and quality experience for our Volunteer’s by developing new resources and processes that we can implement on a national scale. Working with the Corporate Volunteering Administrator, you’ll help utilise the volunteer database and report on data to evidence impact.  And where relevant, you’ll seek to build co-production into ways of working so that people with lived experience of homelessness and bad housing are at the heart of what we do.

About you

With experience of leading the successful development of volunteering projects and solid volunteer management experience, you will be passionate about volunteering, with an excellent understanding of what makes a quality volunteer experience. You’ll be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, including identifying conflicting demands and establishing clear priorities to meet agreed objectives. Your great communication skills include an ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels. What’s more, you’ll be confident creating and delivering high-quality presentations both online and in-person. • Develop the project plan and ensure that the right governance structure for project management is in place and RSPB internal project management practices are followed, so that the project stays on track, comes in on budget and risks are identified, escalated, and managed within tolerances.
• Work with local environmental networks to build a picture of nature-based activities available and identify opportunities for partnership working.
• Lead on developing ways to evaluate and measure the impact of the project, including engaging with those prescribing and local communities to gather stories and case studies that demonstrate the benefits to wellbeing and connectedness to nature.
