The Royal College of Radiologists is seeking a Service Desk Support Coordinator to join our high performing and well respected IT team. The team supports both day to day office users and the College’s expanding, business critical examinations operations, which represent a significant part of our income and reputation.

This role is central to the delivery of excellent IT services. You will provide 1st and 2nd line support to end users, contribute to the ongoing maintenance of our IT infrastructure, and work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Your focus will always be on delivering outstanding customer service, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and ensuring a positive experience for every user.

As the Service Desk Support Coordinator, you’ll be the approachable and knowledgeable face of IT at the Royal College of Radiologists. Acting as the first point of contact, you’ll support staff, Officers, Examiners, and remote users with IT and Audio Visual systems. From resolving technical issues and managing service requests, to supporting high stakes examinations and ensuring meeting spaces run flawlessly, your work will have a visible and meaningful impact across the organisation.

What you’ll do:

• Provide responsive, customer focused IT support via Freshdesk, Microsoft Teams, email, phone, and in person
• Log, manage, and resolve IT support tickets in line with agreed SLAs
• Support a wide range of technologies including Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and mobile devices
• Assist with user onboarding, training, and the creation and upkeep of technical documentation
• Deliver reliable Audio Visual and video conferencing support for meetings and events
• Provide IT support for examinations and events, occasionally outside standard working hours
• Work collaboratively with HR, Digital Products teams, and external technology partners

What you’ll need:

• ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent practical experience in IT Service Management
• Hands on experience with service desk ticketing systems and supporting Windows and macOS environments

About the Role 

The role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising (CEF) directorate and reports to its director. The team serves the needs of the organisation by engaging a range of key audiences through various media channels, volunteer engagement, events and fundraising. The post holder will work in close collaboration with others across the organisation and will enjoy working in an innovative and creative environment.

You will lead the Fundraising team, including Supporter Care, in developing and implementing team plans and strategies to ensure long-term growth and delivering targets.

This will include leading on all USPG fundraising streams including fundraising appeals, regular giving, legacy fundraising, major donors, church engagement, diocesan appeals, trust and foundations, grants and partnerships and any new fundraising products.

You will line manage the Individual Giving Manager and Fundraising Stewardship Manager, supporting their professional development to help achieve annual fundraising targets and objectives.

You will be responsible for delivering fundraising appeals, products and campaigns, ensuring that supporters go on a meaningful and experiential journey with USPG and become lifelong supporters. You are, therefore, a confident, passionate, organised and creative senior manager with the proven ability to motivate and inspire your team and USPG supporters.

You will bring energy and passion to this role and have the responsibility for delivering on time fundraising activity across the organisation. Your experience will bring our vital work to life in inspiring ways that increase engagement and individual giving, while ensuring that retention and acquisition strategies are in place, regularly reviewed, and continuously strengthened to grow the USPG supporter base. You will bring a freshness of ideas, whilst maintaining operational efficiency, quarterly reporting and inspirational leadership.

About the role

This is a dynamic, strategic role and as Head of Therapeutic Services, you will exercise person-centred clinical responsibility for Woman’s Trust (WT), counselling, groupwork and other therapeutic services.

Reporting to the CEO, this role will oversee the day-to-day delivery of seamless, highquality service across all of our client-facing provisions. You will support the CEO to ensure the future development of WT by leading the frontline staff team in the provision of high-quality, relevant and safe services to survivors of violence and abuse in line with WT’s aims and principles.

As Head of Therapeutic Services, a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will work closely with colleagues across WT, to plan and implement quality improvement plans in order to deliver outstanding services in an efficient and cost-effective manner. This role will deputise for the CEO when necessary.

Working with key stakeholders to ensure that WT counselling services are delivered to a high professional standard, in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework and the person-centred approach.

Leading on the development of new opportunities for the enhancement and expansion of WT counselling services, on the clinical representation of WT services to external bodies and involvement in campaigning for the improvement of services for women experiencing DA, and to be the safeguarding lead for WT.

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week.

Contract: Fixed-term contract as dependant on funding.

The postholder will lead all media, messaging, and external affairs work, developing and implementing a proactive media strategy that supports our mission and key campaigns, such as Living Wage Week and the annual Rates announcement. As a skilled media professional, you will oversee all communications outputs, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment, while delivering media training and refining key messaging to maximise reach and impact. 

In this role, you will be instrumental in advancing our political engagement efforts, building cross-party support and working with political leaders, mayoral teams, and other key stakeholders to promote our initiatives. You’ll manage two direct reports (Events Manager and Media Manager) who each hold line management responsibilities, and you will play a critical role within our Senior Management Team, collaborating closely with the Head of Communications to shape the overall direction of our communications work. This role will work closely with Citizens UK colleagues, including the Citizens UK communications team on cross-organisational priorities.  You will report to the Head of Communications.

Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. The free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and by rapid response vehicles.  

Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.  

They can be rushed to the scene with life-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only available in the hospital emergency department.  

Once stabilised, the patient will be conveyed to the most appropriate hospital by air or land.  

Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from Government, we rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives…we can’t fly without you!  

Job purpose:

• Drive data-led digital marketing through segmented supporter journeys and integrated campaigns that deliver income and engagement targets, embedding performance reporting to drive continual improvement

Internal Communications

• Develop and deliver an internal communications strategy that strengthens transparency, fosters employee engagement and reinforces the charity’s culture and values. 
• Partner with HR and senior leaders to communicate key initiatives and strategic priorities with clarity and impact. 
• Collaborate across departments to ensure internal messaging aligns with and amplifies organisational priorities.

Budget & Performance Management 

• Lead departmental budget setting, reforecasting, and resource planning, maximising return on investment across all activity. 
• Oversee robust performance tracking, evaluation and benchmarking frameworks to drive continual improvement and inform strategic decision-making. 
• Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations, including GDPR, advertising codes, fundraising and brand licensing requirements.

Other Duties

• Work occasional evenings and weekends as needed, including being on the out-of-hours on-call rota.
