Estates Coordinator - Job Description

Main Duties

Administration

• Play a key role in organising the Estates Team to manage the Diocesan Estates Portfolio.
• Use triage to fully explore and deal with initial enquiries.
• Co-ordinate urgent and minor works processes.
• Effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Negotiate effective working practices between internal and external stakeholders.
• Be accountable for and maintain an excellent audit trail for each enquiry.
• Schedule building condition report inspections with external and internal Building Surveyors.

Repairs and Maintenance

• Contractor management – Coordinate works to deliver value, meet quality and safety standards.
• Schedule contractors to carry out associated work.
• Assist with the management of minor works, repairs and maintenance.
• Assist with the management of site inspection actions.
• Assist with the responsible management of religious and listed buildings.

Residential Lettings and Hall Hire

• Assist Parishes in proactively managing income-generating residential properties and parish halls.
• Assist Parishes with managing agents so that rental properties are safe and achieve competitive rent.
• Liaise with managing agents to ensure that the best service is being provided.
• Assist Parishes with hall hire queries, coordinating the appropriate Estates Manager.

Governance and Compliance

• Ensure parishes comply with all relevant Diocesan policies.
• Assist with insurance claims and annually review the extent of insurance coverage.

Professionalism and values

• Uphold and promote the ethos and values of the Catholic Church.
• Work collaboratively with the Parish Team to ensure the Parish Priest remains supported.

About the role

The Monitoring & Learning Coordinator will lead the design, coordination, and implementation of monitoring, reporting, and learning processes for WaterAid’s Multi-country Urban Water Project. This is a bold initiative aiming to raise $40 million and reach two million people with clean water in urban areas across six anchor countries: Colombia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Mozambique, Bangladesh, and Cambodia. The campaign also seeks to build a global movement of youth advocates to demand action from world leaders to achieve SDG 6 relating to universal access to water and sanitation.

This role ensures accurate, timely data collection and learning, promotes adaptive management, and supports evidence-based decision-making.  Working closely with country teams and partners, the Monitoring & Learning Coordinator will strengthen monitoring and learning capacity, support the articulation and measurement of project impact, and help consolidate insights to inform both internal learning and sector-wide knowledge on urban water programming. This includes tracking progress towards the ambitious goal of reaching two million people.

The role will also support donor reporting, liaise with Member offices, and deputise for the Project Delivery Lead when required.

• Significant familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative MEL methods, participatory approaches, and adaptive management.
• Strong analytical and data management skills, including use of software for data analysis and visualisation
• Excellent facilitation, capacity building, and coaching skills to support country teams and partners.

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• Experience working with urban WASH programmes, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
• Experience in participatory MEL approaches and adaptive programme management.
• Experience designing surveys using mWater software, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, gender equality, disability inclusion, and social accountability in MEL processes.

We are Olive Branch Aid (OBA), an award-winning Foodbank charity operating in south London, and we are looking for a dynamic and confident Foodbank Manager to work alongside our newly appointed Foodbank Coordinator as well as an energetic team of more than 60 volunteers.

OBA is different

OBA provides a hand-up rather than a hand-out. More than a Foodbank, OBA provides support for 3 months - much longer than most Foodbanks. We also provide an innovative well-being support service that helps service users address the underlying causes of their food needs. In 2024, OBA helped more than 75 households with complex underlying issues, this involved many weeks of telephone calls and meetings and helped prevent at least five families from becoming homeless. OBA also provides free preloved clothing and household goods to help service users get back on their feet.

Since 2023, OBA has its own fully funded premises off Portslade Road next to the Windrush overground station. Despite these successes, we continue to rely entirely on donations for our day to day expenses. As Foodbank Manager, you will help us secure the funding to grow our services and help even more people.

• The South West Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
