The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.
The Felix Project is a dynamic, ambitious charity working to make London a city where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.
We rescue high quality, fresh and nutritious food that cannot be sold from nearly 500 suppliers including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms, restaurants and delis. We sort and deliver this food to charities, schools and community projects supporting London’s most vulnerable people.This year we expect to rescue 13,000 tonnes of food to redistribute to more than 1,000 London frontline charities and primary schools in every borough of London. That’s enough food to make more than 30 million meals.
The Felix Project is growing fast in response to huge demand. Set up in 2016, we now have around 160 staff working alongside 8,500 volunteers. We have four main operating depots spread across London - in Deptford, Enfield, Park Royal and Poplar. We’re committed to ensuring our different teams work hand-in-hand, so our main hot-desking spaces are built into these depots.
Alongside our large-scale, depot-based operations we have green ‘point-to-point' food redistribution projects in central London and Canary Wharf. In Poplar, we operate a commercial Kitchen which uses surplus food to cater for up to 5,000 individual meals per day.
Purpose of the Job
The People Administrator will manage all staff recruitment and operations at The Felix Project. You will support the hiring managers through all stages of the employee life cycle and will ensure this process is both rigorous and streamlined. You will also manage and support our HR administration systems and will act as first point of contact for day-to-day staff issues. Working closely with the Head of People you will help introduce improvements to our systems and administration processes.

Hybrid working

The project supports ‘makerspaces’ in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa. The Internet of Production is a small, international charity that brings together a global alliance dedicated to building a future of decentralized and distributed manufacturing. We seek to enable a sustainable and globally networked system of production, where products are fabricated using local capabilities and global designs; to complement mass production and global supply chains with ‘production by the masses’ and local enterprise. We work on open standards for networking, support experiments in open digital infrastructures and run projects that develop key parts of a future ‘Internet of Production’ – such as the ‘makerspaces’ in Africa.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Help expert speakers to create content to help build the capacity of makerspaces in Africa
- Publish excellent write-ups of webinar content so that it can be shared more widely
- Review content from the project developed in 2023, and prepare and publish it for sharing
- Help to publish academic-style papers from work done in 2023, ideally in a relevant journal
- Support the Project Manager in monitoring, evaluation and learning processes
- Support the team with communications for monthly project stakeholder meetings
- Contribute project content to the Internet of Production website
- Prepare communications materials for a key series of events in Cape Town in November 2024
- Identify and share relevant content on the Appropedia wiki
Person Specification:
- Experience as a writer, reporter or author of learning materials, articles or papers
- Background in communications, particularly in non-profit, charity or education sectors
- Exceptional written English for a range of formats and a very diverse set of audiences
- Graphic design skills, including for presentations and websites
- Online publishing skills, ideally including learning platforms such as MOOCs and MediaWiki wikis

Age UK Lambeth provides a busy, in-demand helpline to all new callers to Lambeth Adult Social Care. Where appropriate, referrals are made to ASC for an assessment.
Call operation times will be Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays.
The service works closely with Lambeth Adult Social Care and we have a base working alongside them at the Civic Centre in Brixton. Staff work hybridly, with the opportunity to work from home at least two days per week.

We're seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team in the role of Brent Service Coordinator. This position plays a pivotal role in the development and delivery of our unique, beloved 1:1 sessions for children with additional needs. We're looking for someone who is not only self-motivated and highly organised but also possesses experience working with disabled children in various settings, including play, educational, or social care, with a specific focus on autism and learning disabilities. Your passion for providing top-quality activity and support services to our children and families is paramount.
Every week during term time, children aged 5-11 attend our 90-minute KEEN London sports and games sessions, where they receive personalised support from our dedicated team of volunteer coaches. Our Brent site is the newest addition to the KEEN London community and you'll play a crucial role in its continual development. We have just completed our two year pilot and are looking for a candidate to build on this foundation. As the Brent Service Coordinator, you'll be solely responsible for the front line delivery of the Brent service: planning, safety, and creating a fun and inclusive environment for all. This will involve working closely with our athletes and their families, supervising our team of volunteer coaches and engaging with the local community. Additionally, you'll oversee the organisation and execution of off-site trips and contribute to the organisation of our annual residential trip.

Your role will be to respond to all incoming communications and enquiries from young people seeking support as well as their families and carers, and professionals from external agencies. You will be part of a wider team providing an open access 'one stop shop' offering information and on-going support to young people (aged 13-25), about how to make informed choices about their emotional wellbeing, work, education & finances. So young people need you to be welcoming, supportive and able to work in a confidential way.
You will have wide-ranging and demonstrable experience of working within a busy office and handling sensitive information. You will be integral to connecting our Support Workers to the young people seeking help. You will keep them up to date of all communication and help them to respond to young people trying to access services, often reaching out for the first time. You will also help to make sure our amazing Drop in volunteers are supported and tasked with jobs for the day. Administrative duties will include updating databases, running data reports for the service managers and ensuring the team have all the necessary documents to provide an efficient service. You will help the team to send confidential documents to young people and those supporting them. You will be liaising with medical professionals and representatives from partner agencies so you will also have excellent business communication skills.
Your main base will be Cambridge but you will work alongside colleagues working from all our hubs across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

You will be part of the organisations helpdesk who focus on triaging IT issues, ensuring staff have the right equipment to do their job and administrating the asset registers to reflect the true picture of our assets in the organisation.
We would like you to:
- Provide first line hardware & infrastructure IT support to users across our organisation on tickets raised for any systems
- Work with the Senior Associate to resolve tickets in your queue within the KPI set by the team
- Work with the Senior Associate to manage all technology and systems equipment across our organisation ensuring staff have suitable working laptops and agile equipment
- Action all IT requirements for new starters and leavers efficiently
Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to our London office and will report to the IT Operations Manager. In line with the teams current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1-2 days a week to support with asset management, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. Occasionally you'll also be expected to travel to our regional offices in Birmingham and Manchester.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
To succeed in this role you must be a problem solver and have excellent customer service attributes to ensure that the IT service we provide our staff is excellent. It is essential that you are able to clearly explain procedures and processes and have the ability to build relationships internally and externally.
Key to this role is a real passion for technology and a willingness to learn and develop in the role. Our ideal candidate will be able to evidence using their own initiative and managing multiple, competing demands.
Whilst experience of developing a consistent, complementary suite of training across different applications would be beneficial it is not essential to applying for this role and there will be opportunity for development and training in this area.

Programme delivery:
- Support the Programmes Team to deliver our programmes, including Pride Groups, School Talks and School Diversity Week
- Manage the administration of Education Programmes
- Act as a first point of contact for schools on our programmes, answering questions, sharing new resources and encouraging participation. This includes engaging with new schools to increase our networks and managing a busy inbox
- Engage new schools to increase our networks, including representing the charity at conferences and events

Energy and Retrofit Advisors will work closely with Groundwork Green Doctors supporting households suffering from fuel poverty and referring them into more specialist support where needed.
