We’re looking for a Head of Operations who can ensure we grow effectively and focus our energies on helping young people live long and stay strong. You’ll lead and develop our finance, governance, HR, and IT operations, ensuring we can deliver with impact and grow and scale smoothly.

You’ll play a leading role in shaping and delivering our organisational strategy, monitoring our progress and budgets, and leading the process to design and develop our next Strategy to 2030. You’ll be adept at designing effective and robust policies and committed to developing a high functioning, high-impact organisation.

About the Role:

Yorkshire and the Humber is an expansive and innovative region and Victim Support is commissioned across it to provide high quality, person centred services to victims of a range of crimes.

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to join the team as a Senior Operations Manager. As the Senior Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Area Manager and be responsible for and accountable for the delivery and development of services across the region.

You will deputise for the Area Manager across all services and be accountable for agreed elements of the contract review and monitoring processes. You will also develop, implement and manage strategic work and specific projects across the region and will need a good mix of skills to enable them to plan, organise and innovate.

You will have a proven track record of Operational Management preferably within a voluntary sector agency and with some experience of the criminal justice system and the journey of victims of crime.

This role involves regular travel throughout Yorkshire and the Humber from a home base and due to this, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. What is the main purpose of their role?

The Operations Manager sits within a team of six managers who are responsible for providing the strategic lead for all the activities of Suffolk Refugee Support. This is a senior operational role with responsibility for overseeing key programme areas including HR and facilities, volunteering, our ESOL provision and our International Women’s Group. The role will also oversee the development of SRS’s Client Partnership work, ensuring this is shaped through co-production with the clients we work with, supports strong external relationships, and is delivered through an effective, outcome-focused work plan. Working closely with staff, trustees, partners and clients, the postholder will contribute to the effective management and ongoing development of the organisation.

The role line manages a team of Officers and Coordinators responsible for specific programme areas, ensuring that the activities within their remit are effective, compliant and responsive, meeting both the charitable aims of SRS and the needs of the asylum seekers and refugees we support.

What will the job entail?

Among other responsibilties, you’ll be overseeing the function of the organisation and its strategic development by using knowledge of needs of clients, gaps in existing services and opportunities as they arise, working with the Management Team to agree funds required for services to be run and delivered, liaising with Trustees, developing and managing client focused activities, developing and managing operational areas of work and providing strategic and operational oversight to our Client Partnership work.

What you will need

• At least two years’ staff and project management experience in community, voluntary sector or social care settings; or other proven relevant management experience
• Experience of managing staff including delivery planning, performance monitoring, practising HR & disciplinary processes, and motivating positive work environments
• Experience of developing, managing and evaluating programmes to meet identified needs using imaginative ideas and making efficient use of restricted resources
• Experience of using/developing assessment tools to monitor service outputs and outcomes
• Knowledge of laws and policies applicable to Human Resources management
• Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection and equality good practice
• Strategic planning skills with the ability to work in conjunction with the Charity Manager and management team to agree plans of work for the whole organisation to maximise impact for clients
• Proficient in using all MS office applications and CRM or data management system, (experience with Charitylog or similar database platforms preferred)
• Conscientious, calm, and well-organised with the ability to keep the balance between short & long-term tasks/goals

Operation Manager opportunity at Alford House

We are recruiting a versatile and commercially- oriented Operations Manager to manage the facilities, develop our rental income and provide timely and accurate financial and administrative management support.

Working model: Reporting to the Senior Youth Worker and working 18 hours, typically over 2.5 days per week (flexible working pattern can be agreed), this is a hands-on role covers (but is not limited to) the following;

• Managing the buildings and their facilities, with external contractors where appropriate
• Sustaining existing and securing new sources of income from space rentals/other commercial opportunities
• Supporting fundraising/grant income applications
• Financial and budget planning, monitoring and reporting, with the support of a part- time bookkeeper
• IT, administration and facilities management policies, processes and systems
• Ensuring the building and its facilities comply with relevant regulation and legislation and that all polices are up to date, communicated and applied to provide a safe and secure environment

Crucial to our success will be the Operations Manager’s support for and identification with our mission and values along with the ability to work collaboratively with the Senior Youth Worker and his team in their work with young people in Lambeth.

• Experience of income generation (lettings, grants etc)
• Experience of managing buildings/facilities including responsibility for maintenance, contractors, Health and Safety and regulatory compliance

We are looking for an Operations Manager who is prayerful, strategic and passionate about practically supporting the mission of the local church. The Operations Manager plays a key role as a senior member of the Inspire St James team. The purpose of this role is to enable the Church to fulfil its vision for mission, ministry and worship through strategic oversight and management of all aspects of the Church’s operations e.g. staff, finance, premises, and governance.

The Operations Manager has overall responsibility for the Operations Team and will work closely with all members of the team. They will also be part of the wider staff team in which we pray for one another and support one another to achieve our purpose and lead our ministries.

About the role

The Operations Manager sits at the very heart of TLG, working closely with the Executive Director to turn vision into reality and ensure the organisation runs smoothly at every level. From trustee board and governance rhythms, through the leadership team, and out across the whole organisation, this role is pivotal in holding together the systems, structures and environments that enable TLG to flourish.

Our Operations Manager will lead and coordinate core organisational functions, champion a healthy and effective office culture, and provide confident, cross‑organisational leadership. With oversight of strategic and operational coordination, they will ensure that TLG’s systems, rhythms and ways of working are not just efficient, but actively support our people to thrive and our mission to be lived out day‑to‑day.

The Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF) is seeking an Operations Manager to support the organisation in delivering its mission of helping create sustainable futures for historic buildings across the UK.

This is a senior, hands-on role suited to a highly motivated and proactive self-starter who can manage the operations of a growing charity. The Operations Manager will work closely with the Director of Finance, CEO, Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees, and will line manage the Administration Assistant.

The role spans Governance and Office Management, People and Culture, Policies and Procedures, Data Protection, and IT Management and Security. The post-holder will act as Data Protection Officer (DPO), provide support and advice to the CEO and Board, and be the key liaison with external HR, IT and data protection advisers.

Key Responsibilities

Governance and Office Management

· Oversee arrangements and logistical support to the Board and Committees (including Grants Panel, Credit Panel and Audit and Risk Committee), including coordinating the annual meetings plan

· Produce draft minutes for Board of Trustee meetings and the Audit and Risk Committee

· Support the CEO and Chair with Trustee recruitment and Board management

· Develop and manage data recording and filing systems, including shared drive best practice

· Ensure effective office management, including health and safety, fire, security and equipment, liaising with the landlord as required

· Oversee correspondence handling and the premises maintenance register

People and Culture

· Act as the key link with AHF’s external HR consultant, triaging employee queries and overseeing the Employee Handbook

· Maintain accurate employee records and oversee new starter and leaver processes

· Support managers and the SMT with recruitment, inductions and employee performance matters

· Oversee staff benefits and training, including delivery of an AHF-wide training plan

· Ensure annual appraisals are completed and filed in a timely manner

· Organise team meetings, employee surveys and the annual away day, supporting the development of a positive hybrid working culture

Policies, Data Protection and IT

· Coordinate the timely updating of organisational policies and procedures, including the policy log

· Keep abreast of legislative and regulatory changes, particularly in HR and governance

· Act as Data Protection Officer, liaising with the ICO and retained data protection advisers

· Review and maintain UK GDPR compliance and arrange training as required

This role will lead on health and safety, fire safety and security, and is responsible for creating a comfortable and secure working environment for our team.

A core feature of this position is ensuring the successful running of events, exhibitions and programmes from an operational perspective, coordinating with programme workstreams and managing our Front of House team. About the Role

As an Operations Manager, you will lead and manage the delivery of victim services supporting children and young people. You will ensure the provision of high-quality services and compliance with contractual and organisational standards as well as supporting the Area Manager to identify opportunities for service development.
