King’s Global Health Partnerships works with health facilities, academic institutions and governments to strengthen health systems and improve the quality of care in five countries: Somaliland, Sierra Leone, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia and The Gambia. Our partnership in Somaliland is over twenty years old and over that time we have built a track record in health workforce development.  With a focus on Maternal and Child health we have supported our partners in Somaliland to strengthen pre-service education and training for the next generation of doctors, nurses and midwives. 

Our partnership in Zambia is six years old. King’s Global Health Partnerships (KGHP) initiated a long-term partnership with Arthur Davison Children’s Hospital and Ndola Teaching hospital, in Ndola province, Zambia. Work in Zambia has focused on maternal and newborn health, breast cancer surgery, antimicrobial stewardship and health worker wellbeing.

KGHP is based within the School of Life Course & Population Sciences. The School of Life Course & Population Sciences is one of five Schools that make up the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine at King’s College London. The School unites experts across 5 departments, Women and Children’s health, Nutritional Sciences, Population Health Sciences, Ophthalmology and Twins & Genetic Epidemiology, overall covering the complexities of life course health & disease from individual cells molecular genetics to whole population level.

Our research links the causes of common health problems to life’s landmark stages, treating life, disease and healthcare as a continuum. We are interdisciplinary by nature and hugely successful: 91 per cent of our research submitted to the Subjects Allied to Medicine (Pharmacy, Nutritional Sciences and Women's Health cluster) for REF was rated as world-leading or internationally excellent. We use this expertise to teach the next generation of health professionals and research scientists. Based across King’s Guy’s, St Thomas’, Waterloo and Denmark Hill campuses, our academic programme of research, teaching and clinical practice is embedded across all SLCPS departments.

About the role

We are looking for a Programme Manager to lead on the management of our current programme activities in Somaliland and Zambia. The role will lead on the management of various grants/ projects within our Somaliland and Zambia partnerships as well as strengthening our partnership approaches in these two countries. The role will be responsible for project closeout, startup of new projects secured as well as developing new funding proposals to support the aims as set out in our partnership and organisational strategies. 

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria

1. BSc or MSc in Global Health or International Relations or aligned subject
2. Relevant experience managing multiple projects (including large and complex grants/contracts) throughout the full project cycle, preferably projects delivered by consortiums
3. Relevant experience working collaboratively with partner organisations in low resource settings
4. Financial management and budgeting experience for complex multi-year, multi-partner projects
5. Experience of developing MEL strategies for large and complex programmes, including developing indicators, theories of change, learning processes
6. Experience coordinating and managing the development of successful funding proposals including institutional donors such as FCDO and the DHSC
7. Significant experience in donor compliance and relationship management, preferably including trusts and foundations and institutional donors
8. Committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, actively addressing areas of potential bias

Desirable criteria

1. Knowledge/expertise of global health, health systems strengthening, or health workforce
2. Exceptional planning, organisation and execution skills
3. Strong communication skills: written and verbal

Purpose of the role

The Production Manager plays a key role in delivering all aspects of the production process, coordinating all production activities and operations on time and within budget.
 
The role works closely with the Head of Technical, Production and Building services, Senior Producer, and Events team in scheduling, and delivering all technical and production services for all events and activities across Brixton House’s programme.
 
The Production Manager engages directly with creative teams, event clients, production companies and others, and leads their teams to use their expertise collaboratively and creatively to advise, support and deliver all technical and production services.

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Visitor Centre Manager (VCM) in our Hainault Forest team and lead a small, dedicated team of employees and volunteers to deliver and develop all aspects of our visitor offer at Hainault Forest, predominantly through the operating of our Woodland Trust Visitor Centre.

THE ROLE
•    The Hainault Forest Visitor Centre Manager sets the direction and oversees all elements of WT visitor experience at the forest including events, interpretation, marketing and retail.
•    The VCM is responsible for leading a small, dedicated team to provide an important meet and greet function to visitors as well as signposting, dealing with enquiries and undertaking retail transactions. 
•    The VCM is one of the main WT representatives for the Forest partnership (made up of the Woodland Trust, London Borough of Redbridge and Vision RCL). 
•    The VCM is responsible for ensuring necessary annual plans are in place, implemented and evaluated with appropriate success measures, and is also responsible for the safe operation and upkeep of the visitor centre building.
•    In partnership with LBR and Vision RCL, the role will continue to lead on the establishment of Hainault Forest as a valued destination for people and wildlife that is regionally significant and locally treasured; inspiring visitors and communities to connect with woods and trees and take action for our cause.
•    The VCM will ensure financial stability through the delivery of a sustainable, profitable business model for the visitor centre, annual planning for revenue streams across the whole site in partnership with LBR/Vision RCL, and planning and management of an annual visitor experience budget 
•    This role is based at Hainault Forest Visitor Centre.

Finance and Payroll

• Work collaboratively with the finance team to ensure payroll is updated and released on time each month.
• Support with the Year End Audit requirements that relate to staffing.
• Overall responsibility of the HR function budget including training and resources.

What You’ll Bring

• We are in the process of reviewing the HR function and you will be leading on the implementation of this to ensure that the team is working with inclusive strategies, as well as ensuring that we can best support the organisation with the needed support in a timely and efficient manner.
• Toynbee Hall are in the process of reviewing the pay banding and scales and this will be a part of your role to implement the changes and work closely with the finance team to achieve this.

Essential Criteria:

• Very good knowledge of UK employment regulation and HR practices.

The Salvation Army – Supporter Acquisition Manager x 2

Location: Hybrid working, 2 days in office, London SE5.

The Salvation Army, the UK’s leading social welfare charity, is seeking two Supporter Acquisition Managers to project manage and lead on day-to-day delivery of supporter acquisition appeals.

The Salvation Army is one of the largest, most diverse providers of social and community services after the Government. With more than 600 local centres and nearly 100 residential centres, they make a powerful difference to people across the UK who might otherwise be excluded.

Along with the Assistant Head of Individual Giving, the Supporter Acquisition Managers are  responsible for growing the organisation’s file of donors and hitting an annual Individual Giving team fundraising target of £50 million in unrestricted income. As a direct marketing subject matter expert, they will lead cold recruitment campaigns and support in identifying and delivering new products or acquisition streams. The roles will lead on planning and project managing delivery of a variety of media channels, both online and offline. Each manager will hold strategic areas of focus, be responsible for seven figure expenditure budgets and line manage a Supporter Acquisition Officer or Executive.

The successful candidates will have significant direct marketing expertise with a strong background in project managing multiple campaigns across a range of channels, ideally in a fundraising role, and with proven success at recruiting new donors.  You will have a passion for fundraising with a commercial understanding of the charity marketplace and competitors. We are recruiting a Cattery Carer & Cat Foster Coordinator who will share our compassion and commitment for animal welfare.

Working with staff and volunteers across the Home, you will have a hand in helping all the cats in our care, from feeding, cleaning, behaviourally assessing and socialising to rehoming. You will be responsible for organising cats in our care going into temporary foster homes. • Assist in the provision of treatment to cats as advised by our veterinary staff.

About the role:

The Team Leader will lead on the delivery of the Triage Model in their pilot area/s, providing support, case management and supervision for the Triage Worker and IDVA roles. They will act as the first point of contact assessing the suitability of initial referrals to be allocated to a Triage Worker for a full assessment. Role Overview

The successful candidate will be involved in leading and co-ordinating the delivery of Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s research strategy including our programme of grants, and our work to support increased patient and public involvement in research.  They will work with the Director of Services & Evidence and Head of Evidence & Research to support the charity’s involvement with external research bodies and contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet our strategic objectives.

About You

We are looking for someone who has proven experience of delivering successful research funding and patient and public involvement research activities.  The successful candidate must be adept at establishing and maintaining effective relationships with external stakeholders and comfortable working with operational performance metrics, and implementing strategies and objectives for the organisation.  Ideally your background will be in health care or working in a medical charity and you’ll be educated to degree level or equivalent.  Given this role will involve managing and providing leadership to the Research team, prior management experience would be an advantage.  Office Management:
