Context:
CAP is a national charity that is driven to help release people from debt, poverty and their causes through partnering with local churches. We do this by providing a variety of services: CAP Debt Help, CAP Job Clubs, CAP Release Groups and CAP Life Skills. We also help churches teach basic budgeting and money management skills through our CAP Money course. Our debt help service involves holding client assets. CAP is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The continued success of our work rests on a bedrock of vital background functions, which includes the finance department.
Purpose:
The finance department is going through an exciting period of transformation. Working alongside the Chief Financial Officer and the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will help shape the strategy and delivery of excellent forward-facing financial planning, statutory and regulatory reporting, costing and client asset management.
This role will be responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement whilst driving efficiencies across the finance department. Taking ownership of providing potential solutions to enable us to strengthen our core financial processes, from both a systems and process perspective, whilst encouraging thought and challenge around our current ways of working.
This role will take accountability for the oversight and management control of the Finance Operations team, providing outstanding customer service to both our internal and external customers and stakeholders.

Build and develop a strong finance operations function with robust internal and external controls through active line management and regular training

Drive the annual statutory reporting process - developing a clear timeline, planning and negotiating with our internal communications team to deliver a high quality annual report for Trustee approval and sign off

Lead the external audit process, negotiating fees, timetables and take the lead role in all meetings with the Audit Partner and their team. Use judgement to consider whether audit responses should be challenged or accepted. Prepare action plans and report audit findings to the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee.

Citizens Advice Enfield is a busy service helping around 6,000 clients a year to solve around 25,000 problems. We are open 5 days a week and currently operate a telephone adviceline triage service from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
Our priority commissioned areas are Benefits, Debt and Housing and we have a small team of caseworkers for each. Appointments are booked through a combination of self-referral via the adviceline and referrals from funded partners.
Role Description
We are looking to take on a Capacity Building Training Officer to join our in-house training and development team which will form part of the wider Human Resources management function/team. You will be responsible for delivering all mandatory learning for volunteers and paid trainees to reach their competence and to design and deliver advice training to external organisations to support capacity building within the community. This will be both in-person delivered training as well as via online platforms.
This role will be working closely with key external stakeholders across the voluntary and community sector as well as internally with the management and supervisor team.

Kempton Steam Museum, operated by Kempton Great Engines Trust, is home to the world’s largest operational triple-expansion steam engine, which supplied water to much of London until 1980. Our project, Kempton: Clean Water for Life – reaching a wider audience, is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we aim to transform Kempton Steam Museum’s engagement with visitors and the local community, while enhancing support for volunteers and care of collections.
The part-time Curatorial Officer will be responsible for the museum’s curatorial activities, with a specific focus on achieving the required collection management standards for Museum Accreditation with the Arts Council by August 2026. This will include developing curatorial policies following Spectrum guidelines. There will also be opportunities to develop interpretive materials to enhance visitor understanding and appreciation of the triple expansion engines and our collections, to foster relationships with local communities and to provide training and support to volunteers on collections management and interpretation. CTG is a small, volunteer-led charity that, for over 40 years, has had a huge impact on the charity tax landscape, saving charities an estimated £10bn during that time, including VAT reliefs, the introduction of Gift Aid and significant policy influence. About the role

What’s the job?
In this exciting and varied role, you will take the lead in delivering commercial marketing initiatives that add real value to both students’ unions and our supplier partners. Working within the Commercial Development team, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing the activity against brand development programmes across key sectors including retail, catering, and licensed trade. These initiatives are designed not only to drive commercial returns, but also to deliver on the values and mission of NUS – putting ethical, sustainable, and student-focused outcomes at the heart of everything we do.
Your role will include working with the buyers to negotiate marketing activity with NUS-approved suppliers, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with agreed budgets and the broader annual trading plan. You’ll be the key point of contact between suppliers and students’ unions, maintaining strong working relationships, identifying mutual opportunities, and ensuring each marketing activity is underpinned by a clear business case and measurable outcomes.
You will also play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our commercial partnerships. You’ll develop marketing plans for new and existing suppliers, and work closely with the Trading Manager and buyers to ensure continued investment in marketing activity that benefits students, unions, and brands alike.
Who you are
To succeed in this role, you’ll need significant experience in a business-to-business (B2B) sales or account management environment, as well as a strong track record of project delivery. You should be confident in negotiating and managing budgets, using data and insight to inform decisions, and pitching marketing ideas to external stakeholders.

At Horatio’s Garden, we build and look after extraordinary gardens in the heart of NHS spinal injury centres. These gardens are a critical part of rehabilitation and offer reflection and adjustment, privacy and solace, joy and companionship to all who need it. We lead regular gardening sessions to grow and cultivate plants, arts workshops to offer new skills and a programme of live music and events. Designed to be enjoyed all year round, these gardens offer a warm, welcoming place for family and friends who may have travelled hours for a visit.
Our vision is for everyone with a spinal injury to have a Horatio’s Garden as part of their rehabilitation care.
The charity is growing. We have eight garden projects open and are fundraising for our ninth garden in Middlesbrough.
This role will assist with the content creation of engaging written, film and visual content across different platforms, scheduling and moderating our social channels, and helping us report on our digital activity. You will support the rollout of the new regional social media channels for each garden to help place storytelling and impact at the heart of our communications.
It would suit someone looking to start or build their career in the communications field or charity sector to develop experience in developing content, writing and charity campaigning. There will be opportunities for training and development and you will travel between the charity’s UK-wide gardens and meet patients, volunteers and staff.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours a week) based in the charity’s office in Salisbury with the ability to discuss some flexible working after the six month probation period.

Main duties
