Barnet African Caribbean Association is a small but long-standing registered charity dedicated to supporting older. Many of our members live with long-term health conditions such as the effects of stroke or dementia.

We run a weekly day centre on Tuesdays, where we bring people together to enjoy a hot meal, social activities and companionship. From exercise classes, arts and crafts, quizzes and games, to health visitor sessions, our programme is designed to promote wellbeing, reduce isolation and celebrate culture. We also provide advice, information and outreach support beyond the day centre.

Charity People are delighted to be partnering with a leading literacy charity to recruit for their next Digital Project Manager. A key role supporting the National Year of Reading, you will be responsible specifically for project managing the delivery of the website to support the campaign. The role is a hugely exciting opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking national campaign, working with multiple stakeholders to deliver a website that amplifies the reach of the campaign across a range of audiences.

This charity empowers children, young people and adults from disadvantaged communities with the literacy skills they need to succeed. They work directly with young people and their families, with the 5,000 schools in these communities, with nurseries, prisons, YOIs and through their teams leading community literacy programmes in 20 places in the UK facing the biggest literacy and poverty challenges. Literacy is a vital element of action against poverty and their work changes people's life stories.

Contract: Fixed term until to end of March 2027

As Digital Project Manager, your core responsibilities will include:

• Lead on the National Year of Reading website planning and execution, liaising with both internal teams and external agency
• Collaborate with the National Year of Reading team to define project scope, goals and deliverables
• Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines and budgets to ensure successful project delivery
• Work alongside the Website Product Manager and Head of Digital to scope a new website for the charity including leading planning sessions and requirements gathering with internal stakeholders
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide timely updates to all stakeholders
• Lead on user experience and feedback taking an iterative approach and collaboration to inform current and future digital product development

Youth Participation Officer

Fitzrovia Youth in Action is looking for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic person for our Youth Participation Officer role. If you feel like this is you, we would love to hear from you!

The post holder will manage and develop youth-led community projects in which young people develop their leadership and employability skills through becoming actively involved in their community and participating in self-directed community action. The successful candidate will oversee the development and delivery of several youth-led community projects, primarily the organisation of youth-led community events, but might also include elements of other youth-led activities, such as youth action team, health champions and ambassadors. 

For example, typically, this would involve working with groups of around 10 young people in each cohort and support them to deliver their community event project over a 12-week period.  Examples of events include youth-led football tournaments, street parties and our community Christmas dinner. This post will be part of the delivery team overseeing self-directed community action projects. The post holder may also support drop-in sessions and other activities aimed at engaging young people and referring them onto the youth-led community action programme.

About the opportunity

As an Event Content Manager, you will conduct exciting public policy research, work with the most senior speakers from across government, business, universities and civil society speaker management, and create engaging content.

You would take ownership of a portfolio of 40+ briefings, roundtables, workshops and senior level dinners per year across themes impacting economic growth and prosperity including: infrastructure, skills, net zero, AI and new technology, trade, and regulation.

Your mandate is to deliver high-quality, high-impact events, where you will be required to research key policy and economic trends affecting government, business and society, owning the full production life cycle from policy research and agenda setting to speaker acquisition and management etc. You will also collaborate with the marketing and membership functions to ensure that our policy focus for your events programme aligns with membership needs and shifting priorities.

This role is critical to our membership offer – all our events are highly respected and supported by the organisations membership base and will require a strategic thinker who can ensure that the right policy research is carried out to inform event idea validation. The role will be supported by the Event Operations team who will drive on-the-day logistics.

Responsibilities

Event content development

• Lead the content development and planning of your events programme across our themes, this includes:
  • Build compelling agendas
  • Craft key event outcomes
  • Curate engaging and thoughtful speaker briefings
  • Identify and acquire credible, expert speakers
  • Identify and draw in relevant audiences
• Conduct research on key policy and economic trends affecting sectors across our membership base including market and policy trend analysis, collecting feedback from our members including stakeholder interviews and surveying to inform your event programme.
• Lead the collaboration across internal teams to recommend and develop effective marketing and communication materials to promote the events programme such as landing pages, eNewsletter segments, and promotional campaigns, taking ownership of all event programme deliverables under your remit.

High-impact delivery

• Take an outcome-based approach to your events programme; looking with a strategic lens to determine what the optimal events format, venue, and host would be to drive high-level dialogue among cross-sector leaders.
• Design, develop and deliver event content that you will be able to use to generate insightful event write-ups and summaries so we can continue to add tangible value to our members and their sector challenges.
• Immerse yourself in the sectors by networking with key industry figureheads and build an in-depth understanding of how our themes can drive collaboration across our members.
• Oversee and liaise with the Event Operations assistant allocated to your event and/or programme to ensure smooth event delivery.

Innovation, continuous improvement and collaboration

• Evaluate and report on content impact and delivery against event outcomes to inform future production cycles and increase audience engagement and satisfaction.
• Contribute proactively to programme strategy, using evidence-based research to expand your events programme and/or enhance your event content strategy.
• Collaborate with Business Development team members to optimise member outreach and engagement, leveraging our CRM database to increase our speaker and host portfolio.
• Demonstrate creativity and innovation when developing and delivering our annual paid events under your remit, exploring and recommending different commercial opportunities such as barter agreements, sponsorships or partnerships with our members
• Work with the Head of Content and Events to build out a framework for content reports and publications as part of WIGs 5-year strategy.

• Experience working directly with senior executives - understanding their motivators, contextualising their expertise and building meaningful relationships on behalf of a brand/organisation.
• Demonstrable strategic portfolio development and/or new event/content idea validation across one or more: International relations, politics, political economy, finance, economics or technology.
• Clear passion for content development, implementing new content strategies to drive audience engagement and interaction and enhance brand awareness and value
• Advanced project management skills including project launch, progress monitoring, feedback and key learnings in one or more environments: charities, membership/training organisations, public sector or third sector.
• Deep interest and/or exposure in policymaking, U.K. economic development and government relations.

The role

Strategic focus and prioritisation

· Work with the wider Cancer Insight Team to present the potential future impact of projects and provide information to support strategic prioritisation via a new strategic prioritisation framework.

Project Management

· Manage the design, planning, and execution of new strategic projects aligned with the charity’s overall strategic goals and objectives.

· Develop clear project scopes, objectives, timelines, and success metrics.

· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Stakeholder Engagement

· Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external organisations. This may include, but is not limited to, academic partners, NHS stakeholders, private sector service providers, pharmaceutical industry partners and other external organisations such as other health organisations, funding bodies and charities.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To have a degree in a relevant subject such as public health, health sciences, biomedical sciences, health policy, or a related field.

About the role

Reporting in to the Head of Impact, the Humanitarian Lead for the Latin America and Caribbean region will play a lead role in setting up new emergency programmes as well as managing existing emergency response programmes across Christian Aid programmes globally but with a primary focus on an agreed set of countries to maximise impact. 

In the Latin America and Caribbean region, Christian Aid operates in Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Haiti. 

The post-holder will will ensure Christian Aid’s people-centred humanitarian reform advocacy agenda is energetically communicated in relevant regional and country policy forums, so that the humanitarian sector regionally takes visible steps toward more people-centred and locally led humanitarian programming and aligns with organisational values and goals. 

Some of the key responsibilities of the role of Humanitarian Lead are:

• Manage and collaborate on new and existing humanitarian and emergency response programmes internally and externally to maximise impact.
• Manage staff and ensure they perform to a high standard, meeting their objectives with activities integrated with the Country Teams, aligning with organisational values and goals.
• Active engagement in Country Leadership Teams ensuring Christian Aid’s humanitarian mandate is integrated within the wider country strategies in line with “Standing Together”.
• Manage response strategies to ensure plans are in place, funding secured for humanitarian work with budget planning, monitoring and reporting in place ensuring the effective use of these funds and ensure they are high-impact initiatives to maximising impact.
• Deliver humanitarian programmes in a timely and accountable manner meeting the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS), safeguarding, inclusion and other minimum standards, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and resilience work, and ensuring high quality and maximising impact. 
• Manage an active engagement in humanitarian programme policy advocacy work at national and international level feeding into the broader Christian Aid advocacy agenda around ongoing and crisis specific issues aligning to organisational values and goals.
• Manage our partners and ensure MCC staff are confident in, committed to and inspired by Christian Aid’s humanitarian signature focus on anticipatory action, cash transfer programming and survivor-led response to maximise impact.
• Deliver technical expertise through collaboration from within and outside Christian Aid is effectively engaged ensuring high quality programming.
• Collaborate and coordinate humanitarian programming within the relevant national and regional mechanisms, UNOCHA, clusters, ACT sisters and well recognised within donor and Civil Society circles and take advantage of opportunities to work harmoniously on humanitarian together programmes.

About you

Who we are looking for:

Essential:

• Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) is required.
• University graduate or equivalent qualification.
• Significant knowledge of humanitarian issues and best practice in humanitarian action. 
• Significant experience leading both rapid response and chronic emergencies or managing programmes to build resilient communities.
• Significant multi-country humanitarian programme support experience. 
• Detailed understanding of the CHS, SPHERE and other humanitarian standards.
• Developed ability to equip and encourage staff to take responsibility and promote an empowered working.
• Developed ability to contribute to and work successfully as part of management and cross-organisational teams, with excellent time 
  management and the ability to work with challenging deadlines and to multi task.
• Highly self-motivated with personal resilience.

• Significant experience of emergency programme cycle management from needs assessment, through funding applications, management, review and evaluation.

#Fundraising 

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Project Manager - Mourne Park on a fixed term contract until December 2029 to lead the work on the development and delivery of The National Lottery Heritage Funded project at Mourne Park.

The Role: 
•    This is a key role in The National Lottery Heritage Funded project at Mourne Park.  The Project Manager will be required to work on the development and delivery of visitor experience enhancement, countryside access and interpretation projects linked to conservation of Mourne Park’s natural and built heritage through woodland management, creation and restoration schemes.
•    The role will be responsible for the project management and budget responsibility, ensuring all Heritage Fund and Woodland Trust reporting and recording systems are up to date, work programmes are delivered on time across the programme.
•    You will direct the project team delivering all access projects, on site interpretation and in line with the Access & Interpretation Plans for the project.
•    You are responsible for fostering good relations with partners, contractors, interested organisations and individuals, local people, visitors and the media. Identifying, reviewing and meeting with potential partners who could assist the project to meet its objectives and whose objectives could be assisted by the project. 
•    This role is homebased within Northern Ireland and will require the successful candidate to regularly travel to Mourne Park and around Northern Ireland as required (with reasonable paid travel expenses).
•    This role is a funded fixed term role until December 2029.
•    This role will require an enhanced DBS check as part of our pre-employment checks.

The Candidate:
