About the role
As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) you will be forming a partnership with the CEO to lead 500k.
You will be unlocking the growth of this ministry as well as sharpening our impact and making it sustainable. You will be a key part of enabling us to achieve our goal of growing 5x over the next 5-10 years.
As COO you will have a prominent role in creating and achieving our annual growth plan. You will be responsible for the organisation’s day-to-day operations, people management, systems efficiency, financial stewardship, safeguarding and compliance requirements. You will anticipate and plan for our growing needs with the development of new people and systems.

The current set-up of our team is that all our 17 paid staff are in India. Our 3 UK staff, (including the CEO) work for 500k bivocationally and are not paid. They work at FTEs of 70%, 20% and 15%. This arrangement has been reached through the outworking of our values of radical generosity, radical dependence on the Lord, and seeking to maximally empower our Indian team.
For the last 18 months we have been discerning whether to scale our current arrangement (with more bivocational or support-raising staff in the West) or whether to switch to a salaried model for our UK team.
We desire the new COO to be a part of this discernment process. You should be open to the options of fully or partially support-raising your own salary, or working bivocationally, alongside the option of being salaried by 500k. Having said that, we are committed to landing on a clear plan with you prior to your commencement in the role. A full time role is preferable, but we are open for your commitment to 500k being FTE 70% or more, particularly if the bivocational option is being pursued.

Job Title: Regional Coordinator – North West (Inspiring the Future)
Reports to: Senior Project Manager - Primary Futures
Location: Home based with regular travel across the North West region with a primary focus on Chester, Cheshire West and a secondary focus on Northwest Lancashire. Very occasional travel to London where the charity itself is based. Travel costs will be remunerated via expenses.
Purpose: This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a newly created post in the role of Regional Coordinator – North West for Education and Employers Charity; supporting the delivery of our internationally recognised flagship career-related learning programme in schools. The programme is called Inspiring the Future and is known as Primary Futures in primary schools.
Through our programmes, we bring inspiring volunteers from the world of work into schools, helping children learn in a fun way about a wide range of future jobs and career pathways, broadening their horizons and raising their aspirations and attainment. School activity sits at the heart of our charity’s mission which is to: ‘ensure that every young person in our country, wherever they live, whatever their parents or carers’ circumstances, has the opportunity to meet a diverse range of volunteers to hear first-hand about jobs and the world of work’.
This important role will be part of a friendly and supportive ‘Schools Team’, and the post has responsibility for supporting the local northwest delivery of a key primary school focussed project for the charity, funded by the Westminster Foundation. Responsibilities include initiating, developing, and managing relationships with primary schools in Chester, Cheshire West and Northwest Lancashire.
The role will include working closely day to day with local teachers/ schools to organise and deliver an exciting range of virtual and face-to-face events and activities in their schools. The role will also require the postholder to initiate and build positive partnerships with local employers and organisations to recruit and engage more inspiring volunteers to support these activities in schools.
Remuneration: £26-28k per annum depending on experience
Additional Terms: We offer an excellent overall package with 30 days paid holiday, exclusive of Statutory Bank Holidays, plus a competitive pension scheme and a volunteering allowance of up to 5 days per annum – pro rata in accordance with the length of contract. Job Purpose:
The postholder will report to the experienced Senior Project Manager - Primary Futures and work closely with a friendly, supportive and experienced set of colleagues across the wider Inspiring the Future team. The successful appointee will be responsible for working closely with volunteers from the world of work and primary school staff – supporting the effective delivery of interactive career related learning activities aimed at primary school children. It is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to children and young people, particularly in less advantaged areas, by helping to broaden their horizons and raise their aspirations.
This is a newly created role to support delivery of an exciting multi-year project, kindly funded by the Westminster Foundation as part of our Primary Futures programme. The postholder will draw upon our revolutionary online platform that helps connect schools with a huge range of diverse, inspirational volunteers that have registered with our charity and who come from a wide range of exciting sectors of the economy. You will have the chance to engage directly with primary school children by facilitating interactive virtual and in-person activities with volunteers. While experience of working in or with schools may be an advantage, it is not essential.
The role will be home based with regular travel to nominated primary schools within the allocated region and very occasional meetings at the charity’s office in central London. Working with schools, the successful candidate will be responsible for targets within their region, managing the relationship with schools and volunteers/ employers.
The role, will by its nature, involve extensive travel across the region with a primary focus on Chester and Cheshire West and a secondary focus on North West Lancashire. Therefore, access to a car/public transport is essential. Regular virtual meetings with the wider team and occasional face-to-face team meetings either in London or another convenient location will be a requirement. The Regional Coordinator will make effective daily use of our Customer Relationship Management system (based on Salesforce technology) to manage data and delivery.

Relationship building – The job holder will need to build positive relationships
- Re-engage with primary schools who have previously worked with us under a forerunner project that was undertaken last year
- Identify and initiate relationships with new target schools across the identified regions of Chester, Cheshire West and Northwest Lancashire in relation to the Westminster Foundation project
- Develop and manage these school relationships over the lifetime of the project, coordinating their day-to-day engagement in our career related learning (CRL) sessions and deepening their connection to the charity’s work
- Organise virtual and face-to-face activities including school liaison, securing volunteers via the Inspiring the Future system and host on tech platforms (Zoom, MS Teams etc)
- Work with the Primary Futures Manager to build relationships and to capture and exchange good practice between schools and teaching professionals, from all areas involved in the project
- Build relationships with the charity’s partnerships team to ensure that contacts and volunteers from the wider work of the charity are harnessed to support the Westminster Foundation funded project where possible
Delivery – the job holder will need to present/facilitate sessions to local schools and stakeholders
- Plan and arrange all logistics for the events that the postholder will deliver directly with schools. These will be both virtual and in person delivered in school settings
- Facilitate interactive virtual and face-to-face activities to connect pupils with volunteers through themed sessions, Q&A or job guessing-game format.
- Support and host teacher training sessions, staff meetings and info webinars to promote Inspiring the Future and encourage engagement and independent usage of the platform.
- Identify and connect with local employers, engaging the support of their organisation and staff, to secure and encourage local volunteers to help deliver CRL activities within funded projects.
Resource development, technology, data and reporting – the jobholder will need to use our technology, gather impact data on our behalf, develop resources, and make improvement suggestions
- Track and report back to the Primary Futures Manager, delivery against agreed targets and impact. This could include gathering baseline and impact data like pupil/ teacher surveys, feedback quotes, and photos of our activities (permissions to be obtained from the schools).
- Use Salesforce CRM to support with data management, assisting with maintaining up to date records and supporting data cleansing as needed
- Support the development of educational resources for teachers and pupils that provide insight into the world of work and different sectors
- Other ad hoc administrative tasks to support successful delivery of the project whilst always having a positive focus on improvements and ‘how can we do things better’.
- Promote Education and Employers wider offer and programmes as appropriate across the wider North West region. This would include our pilot project with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to inspire young people to consider future careers in local media
Person specification:
We are looking for someone with the following Skills/ Knowledge/ Expertise
Essential
- Minimum two years’ experience in a relationship management, school engagement, or school-based role. Other relevant experience will be considered if it demonstrates the candidate can undertake the accountabilities above
- Experience in successful relationship management – ability to engage confidently and sensitively with schools/colleges and employers and at a range of levels of seniority up to and including headteacher level
- Outstanding customer service and telephone manner, including handling large volumes of email enquiries and dealing with difficult situations politely and assertively
- Strong organisational and administrative skills including close attention to detail and effective time management
- Persuasive and confident communicator who is influential, and effective in presenting a concept both in person and on the phone.

ABOUT VIDERE
Videre is an award-winning, UK-registered NGO that exposes human rights abuses and holds perpetrators to account. We work directly with communities in stressed environments, equipping networks of activists and community leaders with the technology and training necessary to safely capture visual documentation of political violence, human rights violations, and other systemic abuses. Our aim is to ensure that the concerns and knowledge of affected communities drive advocacy, policy, and legal action. We currently have teams and partners in six countries and support staff in three further countries.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Manager is a critical role within Videre, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The postholder will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Videre’s security risk management framework and processes. The role supports Videre’s own project teams as well as the work we do with partners, which includes training and accompaniment on human rights documentation and the security risk management necessary to do this work safely. The Security Manager will play a key role in strengthening organisational resilience, preparedness, and security culture across multiple countries and complex operating environments.
LOCATION
Nairobi, Kampala or Bangkok preferred. Remote applicants will be considered. Approximately 20 days travel per year expected.
COMPENSATION
Salary is dependent on location. The UK-equivalent salary from £55,000 to £60,000, plus pension contribution, will be converted using ICSC scales.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Security Risk Management
- Maintain and continuously improve Videre’s Security Risk Management framework, ensuring effective implementation across all operations.
- Lead the safety and security elements of the organisational Risk Register held by the Chief Operating Officer, ensuring senior leadership is regularly informed of key risks and mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular Security Risk Assessments, in collaboration with relevant managers and teams, covering programme operations, partner locations, and other identified risk areas.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee the implementation of Safety and Security Management Plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring staff are appropriately briefed and familiar with their content.
Preparedness, Monitoring & Incident Response
- Lead scenario planning and preparedness activities for safety and security risk management.
- Provide proactive, practical safety security management advice, guidance and support to teams and partners.
- Lead the crisis management response to security incidents as required.
- Monitor security contexts, analyse trends, and share relevant information to support informed decision-making.
Training, Capacity Building & Culture
- Design and deliver security risk management training and capacity-building resources for staff and partners.
- Foster and embed a strong organisational security culture, promoting shared responsibility for safety and risk awareness.
External Engagement
- Manage Videre’s participation in security-related consortiums and networks, including the Global Interagency Security Forum.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Fluency in written and spoken English and French.
- An understanding of risk management methodologies and experience applying them across multi-country teams.
- Experience in executing complex and sensitive security management responses.

Open Rights Group (ORG) is recruiting for a Pre-Crime Programme Manager
The Pre-Crime Programme Manager leads our work on predictive policing and surveillance within the criminal legal system and counter-terrorism policy, with a particular focus on raising awareness of, and challenging, the impact on over-policed and over-surveilled communities.
They are responsible for the development and implementation of the Pre-Crime programme, working with the Senior Management Team (SMT) and other staff to expand the programme’s profile, network and funding opportunities.
As a Programme Lead, they will also be responsible for working with the SMT and other Area or Programme leads to further develop and uphold ORG’s values and collaborative working culture. They will be recognised as an issue-expert and senior leader within the organisation.
Activities
This is a permanent position at Open Rights Group, and we have secured a number of project grants to deliver the following activities:
- Lead and manage the Safety Not Surveillance (SNS) Coalition, the UK’s only coalition fighting to prohibit AI- and data-driven predictive policing. SNS brings together grassroots partners with national organisations to build power in communities, secure media coverage, engage decision-makers and mobilise those with lived experience.
- Develop detailed policy positions on the deployment of AI and data-driven technologies by private and public actors in criminal justice, immigration and national security.
- Advocacy to encourage decision makers, including MPs, Lords, Government departments and the Information Commissioner’s Office, to adopt ORG’s and the coalition’s recommendations.
- Conduct campaigns that raise awareness of the threats posed to people’s digital rights by the data-driven technologies in policing and counter-terrorism, as well as more broadly.
- Through research and FOIs, help build a legal case with our partners against covert Police-led pathways under Prevent, the UK’s counter-terrorism programme.
- Opportunities to campaign against digital ID, the Online Safety Act and to protect freedom of expression.
What we’re looking for

You might be knowledgeable on the current and emerging technologies impacting policing and the criminal justice system.

S.A.L.V.E. International was founded in 2008 by Helen Huthwaite and Nicola Sansom. Since then, we have gone on to resettle 978 street connected children with their families. We have also supported 378 young people through education, rehabilitated over 1000 street connected children at our Residential Centre and initiated 495 small businesses to support families. Over the years, our advocacy work has included being part of Small Charity Week in the UK parliament, and being part of a delegation to the UN with the Consortium for Street Children.
Today we employ 4 staff in the UK and 27 in Uganda. Our annual turnover is approximately £300k. New developments in our work include sports programming and a very promising tailoring course. We are well on track to achieve our 2022-27 strategic goals - reaching more children, expanding support for girls, strengthening families and improving our funding sustainability.
Looking forward, the demand for our services continues to grow, whilst charities in general are facing a very difficult financial position. We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer who will consolidate and develop existing initiatives and continue to diversify our provision. They must be able to enhance our efforts to improve our long-term financial sustainability. Working in collaboration with the Board, they will develop our next strategic plan in line with our vision and values.
Job Purpose
● To be a visionary who drives forwards and maximises the impact of the organisation. Working with the Board of Trustees to ensure that a strong vision with clear strategic planning is in place for the organisation to best benefit our service users.
● To work with the Ugandan and UK team to develop and improve our existing programmes of work for the organisation to best benefit our service users.
● To oversee the budget, finance and risk management of the organisation.
● To oversee our fundraising strategy and grow relationships with new and existing funders to a high standard ensuring that maximum potential support is achieved.
● To proactively identify prospects, approaching and winning resources from new partnerships in the wider community to best meet S.A.L.V.E.’s aims and objectives.
● To raise awareness of the work of S.A.L.V.E. International and oversee our advocacy and communications strategy and implementation.
Key Activities
The following activities are intended as a guide to the main responsibilities of the post and are not an exhaustive list of duties and tasks. The post-holder may be required to undertake other duties that are not listed below, at the direction of the Board. STRATEGY
- Lead the organisation by working collaboratively with our global team of staff, volunteers, and board members to ensure a strong strategic plan is in place, which is reviewed and improved over time to maximise the organisation’s impact.
FUNDRAISING
- Leading and championing our fundraising strategy. Helping to develop our one off and regular financial supporters through finding new opportunities and networks, giving talks, ensuring quality timely communications, and reporting to existing supporters.
- Supporting and co-working with our Development Manager to research new application prospects, and helping to maintain and develop the income from our existing network of corporate, organisational and Trust and Foundation partnerships and donors. This includes writing and reviewing funding applications and reports as needed.
- Lead on the drafting of larger or multi-year funding applications, with support from the Development Manager to finalise.
FINANCE
- Overseeing the budget and financial management of the organisation to ensure the organisation’s long term sustainability and sound financial management, including creating the annual budget for approval by the UK Board.
- Collaboratively reviewing the charity’s financial controls and performance, including a final review of the monthly accounts (UK and Uganda), and overseeing the internal audit of our accounts with the finance committee.
- Ensuring the organisation is financially compliant according to the Charities Commission and meets all statutory requirements.
HR
- Recruiting, training, developing and managing staff and volunteers in the UK to help to build the capacity of the organisation as needed. This currently includes line managing: Ugandan Country Director, Development Manager, Communications Manager
- Support the Country Director with recruitment in Uganda.
- Creating a strong sense of team spirit and a culture of appreciation and reliability within the team by reinforcing organisation values and ensuring accountability.
GOVERNANCE
- Working closely with and supporting our UK and Ugandan boards to ensure that the governance of the organisation is strong.
- Lead on creating, reviewing, and developing policies, procedures and systems, including but not limited to ensuring quality safeguarding and risk management for the organisation.
- Ensure the organisation is appropriately prepared for potential risks
- Ensuring the organisation is compliant according to the Charities Commission and meets all statutory requirements.
COMMUNICATION
- Overseeing the communications strategy of the organisation, ensuring the website, social media, newsletters, annual report and mailings out to supporters are kept up to date by supporting our Communications Manager. This includes drafting and checking copy and promoting and marketing events and campaigns for the organisation to raise funds and awareness.
- Being an advocate for the organisation, by seeking and maximising opportunities to represent the organisation, to help raise awareness and support for the work we do and the needs of street connected children generally.
PROGRAMMES and OPERATIONS
- Leading and collaborating with the wider team to develop and improve our programmes through regular evaluation and learning reviews.
- Support the Country Director to ensure the organisation operations function smoothy, and that the strategic plan can be implemented.
PARTNERSHIPS
- Representing S.A.L.V.E. in partnerships and networks such as the Consortium for Street Children to ensure that we are making the most of funding, partnership and advocacy opportunities.
- Manage relationships with key partners in the UK and internationally, to ensure we are collaborating to achieve the greatest impact.
SAFEGUARDING
- To be the Safeguarding Lead within the organisation, and continually strengthen safeguarding as a priority in all our work.
MONITORING AND EVALUATION
- Support the Development Manager with the effective functioning of the organisations M&E system, Upshot. Ensure all team members are meeting their monitoring, evaluation and learning obligations and objectives.

- Proven and demonstrable track record of securing income from multiple sources, including Trusts and Foundations, corporate partners or institutional donors.

We are recruiting for a permanent Lead Business Analyst (data) to join the Service Design team. The Fund is embarking on an exciting digital journey over the coming years. This role will put you at the heart of those ambitions.
As Lead Business Analyst (Data) at the National Lottery Community Fund, you will be the strategic authority for data and analysis, operating across all levels of the organisation within a multidisciplinary, agile digital environment (by partnering and cross functional working with digital, technology, business intelligence and funding teams). As a recognised subject matter expert, you will provide thought leadership and authoritative guidance in all aspects of data, business, and systems analysis, ensuring the Fund’s digital and organisational ambitions are realised.
You will set a clear strategic direction for data and analysis, navigating complexity and engaging confidently with senior audiences to influence decisions at pace. This includes shaping the prioritisation of complex data requirements, enabling both long-term strategic decision-making and short-term tactical solutions, while ensuring all proposed approaches align with the Fund’s overarching strategy and digital vision.
Through a comprehensive and expert-level understanding of business processes, operational systems, and organisational data, you will act as the principal point of contact for Fund-wide business definitions, processes, scalable data products/services, and data standards. You will ensure these are secure, legal, accessible and compliant by design.
From a business perspective you will define and lead how data will impact existing/future business processes, data management responsibilities, tools, and governance processes, enabling continuous improvement in data practices and compliance with governance policies. You will also be analysing how data impacts across the Funds technical architecture landscape and systems.
As an expert in business analysis, you will also set the strategic direction for the discipline itself, mentoring and managing a small team of business analysts while cultivating a strong community of practice. You will build analytical capability across the Fund, embedding business analysis as a core enabler of digital transformation.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Set the strategic vision and direction for business analysis across the Fund’s digital services from a data perspective.
- Own and govern the business analysis methodology, designing and implementing robust data collection, instrumentation, and reporting processes. Safeguard the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data across the Fund.
- Ensure data analysis is technically robust, assess the impact across the Funds technical architecture landscape and systems and ensure recommendations strategically align with organisational goals.

Job Description
Purpose of the role
Our PR & Media Manager is crucial to guiding our public story and scale up our media reach as we enter the final stages of our campaign to end bear bile farming in Vietnam and develop the profile of our founder and CEO Jill Robinson MBE. As the internal lead for global PR and media, you will cultivate strong relationships with colleagues in our Programmes and Fundraising teams to amplify their work through celebrity support, thought-leadership and media engagement.
Your main areas of responsibility include press office management (managing the media inbox, journalist and influencer liaison, writing press releases, and media monitoring , working with our international network of external PR specialists to prepare and deliver PR & Media plans for each of our key fundraising markets (UK, US & Aus.), preparing pitches, media releases and content for media outreach and building a library of case studies and fact files to demonstrate our impact.
Working closely with our Celebrity Manager, your other key area of responsibility is developing and implementing creative media opportunities for our celebrity supporters to raise Animals Asia’s profile through earned, owned and shared digital platforms, print and broadcast media. You will possess the knowledge, skills, and creativity to help us raise awareness of Animals Asia and what we stand for, helping us grow our supporter base and meet our brand goals. You will be managed by our Global Director of Strategic Communication.
Key duties:
Strategy and planning
- Development of creative campaigns that deliver high quality coverage to reach target audiences in line with Animals Asia’s organisational and communications objectives including fundraising, brand awareness, policy influencing and behaviour change.
- Utilise a range of appropriate tactics such as celebrity and influencer support, CEO profile building and subject matter expert thought leadership.
PR delivery
- Participate in the development and implementation of our thought leadership program, supporting our internal subject matter experts to publish on Linked In, contribute to earned media and participate in speaking opportunities.
- Preparing, publishing, moderating and reporting on social media content for PR and media purposes, including the identification and targeting of key influencers to support our campaigns share our content.

Press office management
- Day to day running of the press office, including responding to media enquiries, drafting media releases, undertaking proactive pitch development, outreach to journalists and influencers, maintaining our database of media contacts and other general press office management.
- Leading on the creation and maintenance of our external events and key dates calendar to identify opportunities and clashes for PR.
- Keeping abreast of external events and news stories for reactive response and future planning.
- Identifying, monitoring and responding to any reputational and other reactive issues, including anything related to our celebrity ambassadors, in a timely and appropriate manner.

- Develop and craft key messages that get cut through, in support of our campaigns.
- Draft high quality materials such as press releases, opeds, blogs, briefings, pitches and bios across all PR, including in close collaboration with our internal subject matter experts to develop our reputation and thought leadership in animal welfare.
Relationship management
- Day to day management of PR suppliers and partners, including our international network of external PR specialists to deliver PR campaigns.

Person Specification:
