Job description

Education and Learning Team Leader 

Port Talbot

£26,300 - £30,012 per annum


Our client is one of the UK’s leading providers of outdoor environmental education. They now have an opportunity for an Education and Learning Team Leader to join them to develop, plan and deliver “out-of-classroom learning” activities to a wide ranging audience of formal and informal educational groups.

Managing the education team, you will lead groups of all abilities in the natural environment to achieve their goal of “inspiring environmental understanding through first hand experience”. You will ensure that, where appropriate, programmes have relevance to the National Curriculum for England and Wales therefore you will comply with all relevant legislation.

With a degree or equivalent in a Science subject, Geography, Maths or Environmental Science, or closely allied discipline, the successful candidate will have relevant work experience and have previously developed and delivered fieldwork at a variety of levels including Key Stage 2, GCSE and A-level Geography. With management experience you will have experience of producing and delivering teaching materials that meet the current curricular requirements. You will also have experience of writing and undertaking risk assessments. A Teaching Qualification would be preferable.
