This is a fantastic opportunity to join this fast-growing charity at a pivotal time, and make significant impact as our grass-roots Schools’ Project Officer. You will be visiting schools, explaining about what we do at assemblies and going for follow up sessions, and then giving email feedback to applications.

We are a small lively charity promoting the personal development of year 12s in partner schools, through challenging activities that they design, plan and finally undertake adult-free. We invite students (individually or in groups) to develop their own challenges well outside their ‘comfort zones’, and to be responsible for every stage of the process. We help them plan and manage risk, and give them expenses funding. Our award winners have climbed the highest UK peaks, cycled to Paris, performed plays at school, harnessed green power via a bike, among many other imaginative and ambitious projects.   

Who we are looking for
We are looking for an energetic, talented and reliable candidate for our schools’ outreach team, inspiring high-quality applications for funding from Year 12s in our 85 partner London state schools (20% of the total).  There is scope to help shape our strategy. We are looking for competent project officer, ideally with experience of physical challenge, strong administrative skills and with strong writing skills: they will be comfortable working with students, and value personal challenge and development. He/she will be keen to work with a growing charity, and to support young people usually with a poverty of experience and opportunity.

The 10-month post is up to 4-5 days per week, based in Southwark, with frequent travel to schools across London. The salary is £26,600–£35,000 pa pro rata. Flexible working is considered.

The Generous Giving Manager is a very exciting and influential role at the Diocese, as you will build on the strong and energetic foundations within our two-person Generous Giving Team to strengthen the financial sustainability of local churches by encouraging generosity in time, talents and financial giving.

Working closely with deaneries, parishes and their leadership teams, you will identify local challenges and opportunities for generous giving, sharing innovative giving practices to help parishes and deaneries develop creative and effective ways to resource their mission.

Communicating clearly and inspiringly the principles of Christian giving to diverse audiences, you will keep up to date with National Church resources, promoting and supporting a wide range of giving methods such as the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS), online and contactless giving. The role will also require you to ensure the service is at capacity levels by establishing and maintaining a network of referral partners and attending outreach events.

You will have at least 3 years of experience working in a similar post supporting disadvantaged groups back to work and/or training and education. What the job involves

We’re looking for a Peer Support Senior Officer (Online Community) to join our team and help us provide high-quality support to men and their loved ones navigating prostate cancer.

The Peer Support team plays a vital role in connecting men and their loved ones to others with lived experience of prostate cancer. We do this through our One-to-One Peer Support service which matches anyone affected by prostate cancer to our trained volunteers with a similar experience and more recently our Online Community, a website-based discussion forum that provides a space for men and their loved ones to share their experiences and find support.

As a Peer Support Senior Officer (Online Community), you’ll focus on assisting the Peer Support Manager with the development and integration of our Online Community into our wider support services. Once up and running, you’ll take the lead on the day-to-day management and moderation of the community. You’ll work closely with users to understand what they need from the platform, and you’ll be key in shaping it into a safe, welcoming and supportive space where people affected by prostate cancer can connect.

You’ll also develop policies and guidelines to ensure safe and respectful interactions, recruit and support volunteer moderators, and work with other teams to share helpful news, resources and health information on the forum. You’ll use analytics and user feedback to improve the platform and support its growth, while staying informed about best practice and emerging trends in online communities.

While the strong focus of this role will be the Online Community, you’ll also help deliver our One-to-One Peer Support service, triaging enquiries, matching service users with trained peer volunteers who’ve experienced prostate cancer and help with volunteer onboarding and coordination. 

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone with experience managing an online community or similar digital support service. You’ll be comfortable providing information and support to people who may be facing difficult or emotional circumstances, and you’ll understand the importance of creating a safe and inclusive space for users to connect and share.

You’ll bring a good understanding of digital engagement, knowing how to encourage community growth and participation, and you’ll be comfortable using data and insights to guide improvements. You’ll also have experience collecting and monitoring service data to help shape decisions and measure impact.

Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential. You’ll know how to engage sensitively with people who have lived experience, making sure their voices are reflected in how services are developed and delivered. You’ll also be able to work collaboratively across teams, building relationships with internal colleagues and external partners, and supporting cross-functional projects.

You’ll need to be organised and able to manage a varied workload. A flexible, responsive approach is key, and experience supporting or supervising volunteers would be a plus.

While you don’t need to be a clinical expert, a basic understanding of cancer care in the UK, and an awareness of how inequalities can affect access to health and support services, will help you approach the role with the insight and sensitivity it requires.

Churches Conservation Trust (CCT) is the national charity caring for historic churches at risk. As the operator of the third largest heritage estate in charitable ownership in the UK, our 356 historic churches include examples of irreplaceable architecture, archaeology and art from 1,000 years of English history.

Overall job purpose

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on us supporting communities around our churches caring for, opening, using and raising money for them. The Lead Local Community Officer will play the prime role in ensuring that local people are engaged, recruited, trained and supported.

The Lead Local Community Officer will lead the regional team of Local Community Officers to support, recruit, liaise with and develop volunteer and community supporters to care, open, use and raise money for the CCT’s collection of historic churches.

They will head the Church Planning process for the region, ensuring every church maintains and develops their co-created Church Plan.

SALARY: £33,422 - £36,691

We have an exciting opportunity for an Advice Services Manager to join our team at Oasis Hub Waterloo. In the heart of the Waterloo community we run a busy and vibrant community space, open to all. A vital part of this work is our advice services – providing free and accessible debt, benefits, housing and immigration advice to local people. This work has grown over the last few years and we are now looking for an experienced and innovative advice worker, to lead a small team and ensure we are delivering excellent advice, in a holistic community setting.

In this role, you would be working with local community members, to improve their circumstances through the provision of high-quality advice, as well as supporting development and ensuring best practice across the service.  This role is based in our community space at the Oasis Centre and will include supporting with community drop-ins and walk-ins, as well as 1-2-1 appointments, and service development and management.

Key responsibilities. 

· Managing your own caseload of clients, collaborating closely with other team members and volunteers

· Developing innovative solutions to develop and streamline our work, ensuring impact and maximising capacity

· Ensuring compliance and quality control across our casework provision, including obtaining quality standards, creating client feedback mechanisms, and ensuring policy compliance

· Line managing a team delivering client casework

The successful post holder must have:

· Experience providing face-to-face advice

· A willingness to work with people who have multiple and complex needs

· A recognised advice qualification or equivalent experience

· Line management experience

· Attention to detail and up-to-date knowledge of advice practice and policy

We’re looking for a Senior STH Practitioner who can manage the delivery of high quality and effective Social and Therapeutic Horticulture (STH) programmes in London for adults and young people with a range of disabilities and health conditions.

We’re looking for candidates who have proven experience of managing a team and an understanding of how STH programmes can benefit individuals and improve lives.  We need someone with horticultural knowledge and experience to plan the seasonal horticultural resources required for our programs and delivery spaces.

Based at Thrive’s London centre in Battersea Park. Some days will be spent at outreach centres within London, requiring some travel. The role will involve occasional travel to the Thrive Centres in Reading and Birmingham.

As a Project Coordinator at Mind of the Student, you support the smooth planning and delivery of our mental health programmes in schools and the community. You’ll liaise with schools and our community partners to schedule workshops, manage logistics, and ensure everything runs to time.

You’ll also help track progress, gather feedback, and keep communication clear and consistent across the team.

We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and a strong communicator. You’ll be confident building relationships with a wide range of people, from school staff to volunteers, and you’ll take pride in delivering work that is thoughtful, accurate, and on time.

You should be comfortable managing multiple tasks at once, able to stay calm under pressure, and always willing to pitch in where needed. A genuine passion for youth mental health and making a positive impact in schools and local community centres is essential, as is a flexible, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team.
