The Ogden Trust is recruiting for a Programme Officer to support the delivery of our informal science learning programmes across England, working with universities and employers.

The Ogden Trust is a charitable Trust, supporting the teaching and learning of physics.  The Trust supports a range of initiatives, programmes and projects to promote the teaching and learning of physics.

The Programme Officer will report to the Programme Manager for the Opportunities for All strand of the Ogden strategy, which includes our work with universities to support physics outreach and public engagement and physics-related internships for 16-18-year-olds. They will manage the administrative and reporting side of the programmes, and organise related events.

Who we are looking for

You will need to have a good understanding of the informal science learning landscape and higher education in England and an interest in physics in particular. You must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with outreach professionals, academics and employers in physics-related sectors.

An excellent team player, you will have experience of working in programme administration and events organisation, with strong communication and organisational skills. A track record of building successful working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, particularly higher education and industry and the ability to work on your own initiative are valuable.

About the role:

The Achieving Potential programme at SHP supports SHP clients with options and opportunities to build their confidence, learn new skills and try new things. We are recruiting to an exciting new post within our team, having recently secured funding to take forward our digital inclusion offer.

People experiencing homelessness are often from the most socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds and are digitally excluded. Digital access is crucial for peoples’ independence – e.g. accessing Universal Credit or GPs, but it’s also fundamental in addressing isolation and loneliness. Feeling connected to others can be the difference between someone continuing their journey out of homelessness or falling back into drug-use due to isolation/loneliness – we want to break the vicious cycle between digital and social exclusion.  

As the Digital Inclusion Project Coordinator, your objectives will be to spearhead initiatives aimed at increasing digital inclusion within SHP’s diverse communities. This multifaceted role requires a blend of strategic planning, community engagement, technological proficiency, and environmental stewardship. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders from both withing SHP and externally to develop and implement sustainable solutions that bridge the digital divide and minimize the environmental impact of electronic waste.

About you:

• Demonstrated experience in community outreach, project management, and stakeholder engagement, preferably in the fields of digital inclusion, sustainability, or social justice.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse audiences and communicate complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
• Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving abilities to identify barriers, develop innovative solutions, and address complex challenges related to digital exclusion and e-waste management.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by funding great initiatives, finding what works and working for change – scaling up and spreading the practices that make a difference.    

Our Change team does this by building excellent relationships and sharing evidence of what works with organisations and key individuals across the public, private, third sectors and local communities. We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, proactive and highly organised Change and Events Officer to join our Change team to help us fulfil our mission.    

 Key responsibilities  

Most fundamentally, your job is to work as a member of our Change team to make sure we’re excellent at running events and managing relationships with key stakeholders. You’ll make sure the team is incredibly organised and has the support it needs to work effectively. Key responsibilities:  

• Event Organising. Help to organise events, from small roundtables to large in person conferences. You will help make sure events run brilliantly, from booking venues to managing invites and organising materials.   

• External Relationship Management Support. Provide support to the team in managing external relationships by scheduling meetings, organising workshops and developing materials.   

• Meeting Effectiveness. Make sure certain meetings are effective. You’ll do this by organising the meetings, taking great minutes, making sure we keep track of things we said we would do and saving the documents in the right place.   

• Project Support. Help ensure projects within the Change teams are done brilliantly. This may involve administrative tasks, tracking deadlines or leading projects as needed.   

• Query Management. Monitor and respond to general queries by managing the team inbox.   

• Salesforce Reporting and Stakeholder Communication. Lead on coordinating Salesforce reporting and effective communication outreach for key stakeholder groups.  

• Stakeholder Engagement and Change Activities. Develop and support stakeholder engagement and Change activities, including monitoring and compiling feedback from surveys.  

• Team Scorecard Coordination. Lead on co-ordinating the team scorecard, ensuring that the team is on track with targets. 

• Collaboration. Work closely with other roles (including our Operations and Culture team) within YEF to ensure coordinated efforts and sharing of best practices.

 The Brent Centre for Young People is looking for an experienced, dynamic person to join its Clinical Administration Team.

The Brent Centre for Young People is a charity based in North West London (Kilburn) that provides psychotherapeutic treatments to young people aged 11-25 years, who suffer with emotional difficulties and have mental health needs. The Centre has an international reputation and delivers world-leading evidence-based practices to young people across North West London. On average, the centre helps over 700 young people per year through its In-house and Outreach Services.

We are looking for an experienced clinical administrator with strong people and communication skills to help run our clinical services.

This post is an exciting opportunity to be part both of supporting the growth of this new service and supporting clinical administration at the Brent Centre within an existing small team.

The suitable candidate will have at least two years’ experience of clinical and/or general administration and reception duties. This post will suit a confident, reliable individual with strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

You will be expected to be confident in IT skills (including the use of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level) and apply them to recording data accurately on a daily basis on our client database.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates a high level of professionalism, can work to regular deadlines, can problem solve when faced with difficult situations, adheres to confidentiality and can communicate professionally, politely and effectively with young patients, their families, our clinical and non-clinical staff team and our external contacts, such as GPs.

The post requires sensitivity to the needs of young people with emotional difficulties and the nature of therapeutic work and their families. Experience with young people or with mental health is advantageous.

You will be expected to work a range of shifts between 9.30am to 6pm, 10.30am to 7pm and 11.30am to 8pm, to be agreed.

The Royal Hospital Chelsea is the home of the Chelsea Pensioners. It has a rich history and provides supported accommodation, residential and nursing care for some 300 retired soldiers. An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Royal Hospital Chelsea where we are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Chelsea Pensioners Veterans’ Outreach  (CPVO ) team in a new role as a Veterans’ Outreach Officer. 

 The CPVO programme is aimed at extending an offer to older service veterans, inviting them to engage with our In Pensioners and enjoy the sense of community and comradeship that is at the heart of the Chelsea Pensioner community. While most of our programme activity is centred on the Royal Hospital Chelsea estate in London, the programme seeks to expand in reach to other UK regions where there is a sizeable veteran population who might benefit from engagement with our team of Chelsea Pensioners, staff and volunteers. There are also plans to develop a digital offer.

 The Veterans’ Outreach Officer will support  the Head of Veterans’ Outreach in developing and managing the programme of activities encouraging engagement and social interaction between Chelsea Pensioners and other service veterans thereby helping to alleviate the social isolation and loneliness felt by many older veterans. Responsibilities will include promoting the programme within veterans' networks and finding innovative ways to connect with veterans; the management of themed events both at the Royal Hospital Chelsea and further afield as we seek to expand nationwide. The role also involves significant data collection and analysis to inform the strategy, evaluate delivery, and identify fundraising opportunities.

The purpose of the Mental Wellbeing Coordinator role is to manage and lead the development and delivery of peer support services via our Grassroot organisation partners in the Mental wellbeing programme addressing health inequalities in the borough of Haringey including managing and supporting our Grassroot organisations to deliver 1-2-1 wellbeing activities a week for their respective communities.

This Mental wellbeing coordinator role is part of the Haringey mental wellbeing programme, which is community based mental wellbeing support service, supporting individuals with moderate mental health problems. This role will also include outreach into the community working alongside the Grassroots organisations to ensure the successful delivery of these weekly wellbeing activities. The Mental Wellbeing Coordinator is to ensure that all services are delivered together in a seamless manner to support service members across the borough.

Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. ESSENTIAL 

• Project management experience 
• At least three years’ experience of professional accreditations management and or Earth Science background 
• Degree level academic qualifications 
• Good records and process management skills essential 
• Good organisational and administration skills essential 
• Good interpersonal and communications skills 
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite 
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team. 
• Good problem-solving ability. 
• Attention to detail. 
• Flexible working approach 
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

 
DESIRABLE 

• Chartered Geologist or Chartered Scientist qualification 
• Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 
• Experience of government funded projects

We are looking for a Parliamentary Officer to support the management and administration of the Christians in Parliament All Party Parliamentary Group (CiP) as part of a team of three staff.  

CiP exists to support all Members and staff in their work in Parliament, commending the relevance of the Christian faith to personal and political life. 

This is a full-time role, but there is potential to discuss flexible working options.

Based in the Houses of Parliament, your work will include:

· Administering our events programme including weekly chapel services, guest speaker events, staff prayer meetings and Bible study groups   

· Planning and supporting the delivery of the National Parliamentary Prayer Breakfast, a major annual Parliamentary event 

· Managing & co-ordinating CiP’s communication including maintaining the CiP website

· Potential for developing outreach and discipleship opportunities with staff, depending on experience and interests
