ABOUT THE ROLE

RISE is now seeking a full-time Fundraising Manager to help deliver its fundraising strategy. RISE has a mixed funding model and receives funding from the private sector, philanthropic and corporate foundations, bilateral agencies, and potentially, multilateral institutions. This role will play a pivotal role in executing the fundraising strategy, focusing on proposal development, donor engagement, and day-to-day delivery of fundraising activities.

We are looking for a hands-on, results-driven team member who can turn ideas into actionable proposals, manage multiple workstreams, and follow through to completion. The successful candidate will share RISE’s commitment to advancing equality for women workers in global supply chains and will help scale our impact through sustained, year-on-year income growth.

Location: London, UK; New York City or Washington, DC, USA (remote work around these locations will be considered)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As part of a highly matrixed team, effective collaboration across other team functions and particularly with in-country teams and program managers will be critical to success. The Fundraising Manager will report to the Associate Director, Partnerships.

The role includes the following specific responsibilities. These may evolve as priorities are established:

Proposal and Concept Development

• Translate RISE’s strategy into compelling and fundable project proposals and concept notes.
• Lead the day-to-day coordination of proposal development, including drafting project narratives, developing logical frameworks or theories of change, and ensuring alignment with donor requirements.
• Lead or coordinate the preparation of proposal budgets in collaboration with finance colleagues.
• Develop and maintain high-quality fundraising and communication materials.
• Work with the wider RISE team to maintain an active and healthy grant pipeline.

Donor Engagement

• Support the expansion of RISE’s donor base by identifying and pursuing new prospects, particularly among philanthropic foundations, corporate foundations, and bilateral donors.
• Maintain regular communication with current and potential donors, ensuring they are informed and engaged in RISE’s work.
• Support donor outreach and pitch preparation, working closely with RISE leadership and subject matter experts.
• Keep the team informed with up-to-date donor intelligence and funding opportunities.

Fundraising Planning and Coordination

• Implement and operationalize the fundraising and partnership strategy, ensuring effective follow-through on agreed priorities and activities through clear annual workplans developed in collaboration with the Associate Director, Partnerships.
• Contribute insights and lessons learned from day-to-day implementation to inform periodic strategy reviews and planning discussions.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring systems, tools, and processes for fundraising are efficient and up to date.

EXPERIENCE

• 8–10 years of relevant professional experience, including successful track record in developing and winning grants.
• Proven ability to translate strategic direction into actionable plans and high-quality deliverables.
• Strong writing skills, with experience developing concepts, proposals, and budgets for complex, multi-year projects.
• Good understanding of gender equality, women’s economic empowerment and the private sector’s role in achieving the SDGs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of international donor trends and existing networks across foundations, corporate donors, and governments.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and cultures.
• Fluent in English (other languages an asset).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team based in West Ealing . We support adults experiencing homelessness, isolation, mental health challenges and addiction. We provide support and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements, and deliver to achieve safer, integrated communities for our stakeholders. The service has two 24/7 multi-bed premises which provide supported housing for individuals facing addiction and homelessness. 

In this role, you will work closely with our residents to provide tailored person-centred support to enable our residents to feel empowered to overcome personal challenges, and achieve their desired goals. You will support them with re-integrating into the community through tailored support plans, interventions, and working closely with our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals
• Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for night colleagues for a seamless service

About You

• Ability to show empathy and compassion to our residents, and different challenges they face
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
• Ability to promote the service and provide outreach-based provision, with an ability to liaise and work effectively in partnership with stakeholders
• Understanding of the different needs people with multiple and complex needs have and be aware of the social marginalisation that can be attached to people who face personal challenges

Youth Project Worker

Transform the lives of  young people with learning disabilities and autism who are avoiding school . Use creativity, advocacy and relationship-building to help them articulate their needs, re-enter education and rebuild social connections.

You'll work with 35 young people with learning disabilities and autism in Coventry each year , helping them to:

• Articulate their needs and wishes through creative one-to-one advocacy and support
• Re-enter education in a way that works for them as complex individuals
• Re-build social skills and connections to protect their wellbeing and enrich their lives

These young people may be learning-disabled or autistic, in special or mainstream education, or not in education, employment or training (NEET). They include school avoiders, those on reduced timetables, and young people with unmet mental health needs. Without support, their outcomes are often bleak - but you can change that.

What You'll Do

You'll meet young people where they feel most comfortable - at times that suit them, using WhatsApp, Zoom, or face-to-face. Together, you'll:

• Create multimedia person-centred 'back to learning and community' plans using video, voice recording, photographs, artwork or graphics
• Build their confidence through weekly one-to-one sessions, with gradual group engagement on their terms
• Advocate for their views and support them to develop self-advocacy skills
• Connect them with meaningful opportunities across the city
• Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals
• Complete risk assessments, travel plans and project monitoring

A fun and creative touch is essential - you'll co-design all activities with young people, focusing on what matters to them.

About You

• Has experience in youth work, particularly one-to-one or small group personal and social development
• Has worked with teenagers experiencing mental health difficulties, special educational needs and disabilities

You’ll be joining a service dedicated to preventing homelessness and helping young people build the skills and resilience they need to live independently. About the role

The Lead Worker - Coaching role at Crisis Skylight South Wales is a varied and fulfilling role. You will assist people who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless by assessing their needs and offering appropriate interventions (coaching, information, advice and guidance, advocacy and direct support) and use a variety of communication skills to develop, follow and review a personalised plan to end their homelessness sustainably.

You will have access to regular one to one supervision sessions and facilitated reflective practice sessions to support the positive impact of the role; working collaboratively with internal colleagues and external services is also an important aspect of the role to ensure that individuals are able to access the services they need.

About you

• Ability to motivate and encourage individuals to maintain their access to the service by working through the changes they have identified and supporting them to recognise their progress.
• Current knowledge of health and safety issues and safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe environment is provided for individual’s accessing the service, staff, volunteers, supporters and visitors.
• Being able to support team members, including volunteers, by sharing your knowledge and skills and by working constructively together to end the homelessness of the individuals accessing the service.

• Ability to collaborate with partner organisations to maintain service knowledge, referral pathways and manage safeguarding concerns. When necessary, advocate for individuals to ensure that they are able to receive, engage or continue to access services appropriate to their needs.

• Knowledge and experience of coaching which assists individuals experiencing homelessness through a process of strengths based personal change; coupled with the ability to recognise when other interventions like IAG, advocacy or direct assistance may be needed.

• You may have experience in working within a relevant sector such as homelessness, mental health, drug and alcohol treatment, criminal justice, domestic abuse, modern day slavery or employability support. You may also hold or develop one or more areas of expertise such as housing access, homelessness / housing legislation, welfare benefits, employment support, health services, drug and alcohol treatment, MAPPA, MARAC or criminal justice services. This may enhance the effectiveness of the services’ ability to support members and engage effectively with partners.

We're looking for a Recovery Worker to join our night team in successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating our male residents and participants into the community. In this role, you will provide pathways, support, and appropriate interventions to enable successful resettlement. You will also collaborate with internal and external partners and agencies to achieve desired outcomes.

Working in a trauma-informed and psychologically informed environment, you’ll empower residents to achieve their goals and improve their well-being. This role involves working closely with residents during the night, conducting welfare checks, providing guidance, and responding to individual needs. You will ensure the smooth running of the night service by conducting welfare checks, supporting residents, and handling any issues that arise. The role includes completing administrative tasks and providing thorough handovers with day staff and managers to maintain consistent service.

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals
• Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities
