About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for someone with excellent IT skills and a customer focussed approach to join our friendly IT department. Providing effective and efficient support across the service, this varied role would be an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their skill set or progress their career in IT.
Whilst in the role you will;
- diagnose and resolve technical issues via telephone, email or Service Desk and redirecting where necessary
- provide guidance and training to users on how to use various software applications, tools and systems effectively

- contribute to the continuous improvement of IT support processes and procedures
About you
We are seeking someone who has a solid understanding of IT systems, networks, hardware and software by working in a technical support role or similar. The IT team provide support to both employees and learners, therefore you will require a positive attitude, excellent communication skills as well as empathy and understanding of users’ perspectives and capabilities. The successful candidate will be required to manage and maintain our service helpdesk so if you are familiar with ticketing systems for logging and tracking incidents and requests then we would like to hear from you!
You will need to hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a car as you will be required to troubleshoot and install hardware at our external locations across Herts and Essex. Mileage will be paid!

Summary of the role:

About the Role:
- Develop a thorough understanding of Muslim Aid’s work areas in order to ensure strategic linkages / appropriate dissemination of information or assignment of actions.

The successful candidate must have demonstrable experience in working within a substance misuse treatment and recovery setting, must have specialist training and supervision in one or more complexities alongside substance misuse. This may be mental health, long term conditions, criminal justice, offending behaviour, homelessness, motivational interviewing, safeguarding, family work. Have an understanding of risk and risk management, as it applies to substance misuse and complexity. Have a working knowledge of Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults framework, the ability to follow procedure and development of a culture of safe practice. Day-to-day support across the charity including, but not limited to:

The Finance Assistant supports all aspects of the Hallé’s work at the Bridgewater Hall, the Hallé Venues and concert halls across the UK.
The Finance Assistant works in a department currently comprising Finance Director, Finance Manager, Assistant Finance Manager and Finance Assistant.
The department is responsible for all aspects of the financial affairs of the Society and its related trusts. The Finance Assistant is responsible to the Assistant Finance Manager.
They take responsibility for processing the day-to-day transactions of the company across purchase ledger, sales ledger and the cash book, and ensure the smooth operation of the office. They will also need to work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Hallé as well as with external customers and suppliers.
The post is full-time permanent based on a 36.25-hour week. Our core office hours are 09.00-17:15, from Monday to Friday. There is an option to work up to 50% of hours from home.
