We’re growing our strategic people capability and are recruiting two People Business Partners on a two-year fixed-term contract.  One role will suit an experienced, all-round HR Business Partner. The second role will suit an all-round HR Business Partner who also brings proven Learning & Development expertise to help us drive a culture of continuous learning and develop high-performing leaders across the charity.

About the Roles

As part of our Business Partnering Team within the wider People Team, both roles will provide informed, consistent, and strategic support to allocated directorates—helping senior leaders build engaged, high-performing teams in a HR Business partnering capacity.

As a successful applicant, you’ll embed yourself in your directorates: acting as a trusted adviser to Heads of, facilitating problem-solving conversations, and ensuring managers are empowered for day-to-day people needs.

You’ll be the single point of contact for people matters in your directorate. You’ll use metrics to provide your directorate with insights to ensure conversations start with data and decision making is data informed and constructively challenged when required.  You’ll be supporting delivery of HR processes, managing complex cross-functional projects, driving positive change in the employee journey and supporting the charity to attract, hire, and retain top talent.

L&D-Focused Opportunity: If you bring solid Learning & Development experience, you’ll also play a key role in identifying skill gaps, shaping training plans, and supporting the development agenda across the charity—accelerating our learning culture.  

About You

You’re collaborative and resilient with the ability to operate strategically while staying hands-on. You have proven experience as a HR and/or L&D Business Partner (or similar role) and are confident building strong relationships with senior leaders and managers across multiple functions.

You stay calm under pressure, manage challenging situations constructively, and juggle competing priorities in a fast-moving environment—planning ahead yet adapting when things change.

You work autonomously, communicate clearly, and make sound decisions grounded in employment law and HR best practice. Proficiency with HR Information Systems is also essential.

You bring the highest levels of integrity, confidentiality, and commitment—and you’re motivated by teamwork, transparency, and doing the right thing for our people.

You hold a CIPD level 5 (or have equivalent experience) with demonstratable HR business partnering success. Previous experience in L&D information systems (preferably Kallidus) will be beneficial, particularly for those wishing to apply for the Learning and Development focused role, though not essential.

You hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes. You are willing and able to travel regularly for in-person meetings and events—often to Downton (SP5 3RB) or London, with occasionally travel to other UK locations. Central London travel will be by train.

You are also comfortable staying away from home overnight on occasion, when required to support events or team activities.

The Role

Reporting into our Customer and Neighbourhood Director, you'll be responsible for the development of strategies, policies and procedures relating to all tenancy sustainment activities. Being a specialist in this field, you'll also scan the horizon to identify potential significant changes in external policy and financial landscape, introducing best practice from other organisations and sectors.

You'll be the main point of contact internally for all matters relating to tenancy sustainment, working collaboratively across the business to ensure that consistent best practices are embedded within Locality teams and the wider business. Externally, you'll represent SNG and our commitment and vision in tenancy sustainment – influencing and working alongside key external stakeholders and delivery partners, building relationships aligned to our corporate and customer strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with internal and external stakeholders to provide and source expert advice, and manage the development of services, to ensure SNG meets its commitments, monitors its performance and evidences its delivery relating to regulatory obligations, changing regulations, guidance and best practice
• Developing and leading a stakeholder management plan across local, regional and national government bodies responsible for the delivery to specialist areas
• Piloting partnerships with other services to enhance the provision of support to SNG's customers and developing funding solutions to provide support to core budgets
• Managing large complex annual budgets, ensuring appropriate monitoring of expenditure and compliance with procedures and levels of approval
• Ensuring that the appropriate training and development programs for Locality teams are in place across a range of areas, including domestic abuse, safeguarding and ASB

What we need from you

Ideally you should have previous experience in a similar senior role, with strong experience and knowledge of the latest requirements for housing providers across tenancy sustainment.  You'll also need:

• Excellent demonstrable knowledge of programme development and performance improvement in a customer focussed environment
• Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks
• Evidence of delivering on innovative concepts, utilising future changes in policy to support flexibility in a responsive organisation
• Experience of promoting an organisation at a regional and national level to raise the profile of the business
• Ability to inspire, support and develop others to optimise their performance
• Track record of meeting deadlines and working effectively with others in a complex and dynamic environment

Summary of the role:

The Global Programmes Manager provides supervision and management support to Muslim Aid Country Offices and implementing partners ensuring the efficient and effective implementation of high-quality delivery of projects and programmes in line with organizational strategy, in compliance with donor expectations, governmental and international standards.

The role is responsible for technical and management advice and support to ensure Muslim Aid Country Offices and partners are implementing, monitoring and evaluating programme activities in compliance with Muslim Aid’s strategy and budget as well as recognised international standards.

In addition, other key responsibilities include building and expanding strategic partnerships, with donors and other development partners to increase the size, scope and quality of programmes implemented by the Country Offices to reach the poorest, marginalised and underserved populations. The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is an exciting new role, joining our small and expanding fundraising team.

This new role supports the delivery of our ambitious plans to develop and grow income from corporate partners including pharmaceuticals and major donors.  You will proactively lead on identifying, developing and delivering high and mid value partnerships. St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity (SMITFC) is looking for a strategic, relationship-driven Trusts and Foundations Manager to help shape the future of our income generation from charitable trusts and foundations. This is a pivotal role within our Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations Team, working to ensure that we not only maintain but significantly grow our sustainable income streams in support of people experiencing homelessness and extreme vulnerability.

Working alongside the Philanthropy Manager and Prospect Researcher, this role will be responsible for identifying and securing new 5-6 figure+ gifts, maintaining and deepening engagement with our existing funding partners and developing a pipeline of future funding opportunities designed to spread risk and build for a reliable, realistic income growth over time.

Key Responsibilities

 The successful candidate will:

• Work with the Head of Philanthropy, Trusts and Foundations (P&TF) to develop the Charity’s Trust and Foundations growth strategy ensuring it maximises sustainable net income from both general and restricted Trust and Foundation funding sources, diversifies income and starts to spread income timelines away from a reliance on our Christmas appeal period.
• Work collaboratively across the charity to acquire an excellent knowledge and understanding of SMITFC values and programmes, to inform the creation of bespoke donor materials, cases for support, funding proposals and reports.
• Lead on the creation and submission of bespoke proposals and reports to existing Trusts and Foundations, maintaining accurate development and submission deadlines and excellent records of progress and outcomes on CRM.
• Lead on the cultivation and maintenance of strong relationships with existing funders and trustees, identifying opportunities for key decision makers to become active and engaged in the Charity’s activities, whilst gaining a greater understanding of a project’s long term aims and consequent impact.
• Work in collaboration with the Prospect Researcher to develop a pipeline of new 5-6 figure + Trusts and Foundations prospects able to give within the next 3 years.
• Lead on the bespoke stewardship and engagement of newly identified 5-6 figure + Trusts and Foundations prospects and ensure that submission deadlines are met, and reporting schedules observed.
• Work with the P&TF team to deliver our annual Christmas Appeal – to include the development of the P&TF Christmas Appeal 2025, deliver the annual Christmas Appeal Launch event, and optimize the use of social medial and other platforms to reach potential new funders over the Christmas period and beyond.
• Work with the P&TF team to develop the high value offering for the 100 Anniversary appeal 2026.
• Ensure that resources and budgets are managed effectively and provide Trust and Foundation fundraising financial information as required by the Head of P&TF – including contributing to income risk assessments, identifying gaps or shifts in funding and support contingency planning with the wider P&TF team.
• Ensure accurate records of funding opportunities, donor contact details and prospect research are maintained across CRM and finance systems.
• Work collaboratively with SMITF partner charities to align stewardship, donor asks and maximise income.

Experience and Skills

We are looking for someone who has:

Role Description

The role of a programme coordinator is ensuring the smooth running of all programme related events. This will include having a full understanding of all the SEO London programmes; understanding the relevant industry that the programme supports; how these fits into the SEO London organisation and using this knowledge to liaise with students, young professionals and client/partner firms to run, organise and market successful events. In turn this role will be responsible for using data to run reports to show the impact of each programme. In coordination with the programme managers and other programme coordinators, will make recommendations for possible changes and ideas to further support the student and young professional experience. The role will also ensure a seamless and professional level of customer care to all participants.

Accountabilities

DAY TO DAY DELIVERY OF EVENTS

• Responsible for the overall administration all participants events, with specific responsibility to ensure student communication is exceptional. Including event management, student and partner communication and coordination of all the relevant stakeholders, along with posting roles on opportunities page and weekly newsletter 

 
STUDENT MANAGEMENT & QUERY HANDLING 

• Responsible for the relationship management of the participants - including the ability to understand needs, resolve issues and anticipating and creating a strong relationship on behalf of SEO London
• Responsible for managing participants query escalations and to identify where there are opportunities to improve communication, marketing, or the type of events
