A leading cancer charity is seeking a Financial Accountant to join them for a 9 -12 month fixed-term contract. This well-known charity plays a vital role in funding cancer research, providing support for patients across a range of programme areas as well as leading in campaigning and advocacy work

The role will support the organisation undertake effective financial reporting and systems change work, with key duties being as follows:

• Undertaking month end reporting including balance sheet reconciliations and reviews
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting in relation to audit requirements
• Act as a key point of contact for financial reporting queries
• Oversee financial transactions processes including implementing relevant financial controls
• Play a supporting role in implementing a new finance system including advising on the design of financial reports and relevant controls and processes

About You

• Qualified accountant (CCAB or equivalent) or finalist level.
• Applicants from all sectors are welcome (including those from accountancy practice), though an interest in working for the charity sector is a must.
• Strong technical finance knowledge, particularly around financial reporting and / or finance systems work.

The Safer Futures programme supports people as they rebuild their lives following some of the most challenging experiences in life. The foundation fund work that provides direct support, we also back work that challenges and improves the systems surrounding them, systems that too often fail to provide stability, dignity or security.

This Grants Manager role is focused on refugees and people seeking asylum and navigating migration, as part of the Safer Futures programme.

For refugees and people seeking asylum, the journey to safety and stability is often met with enormous barriers. Even after gaining refugee status, many have just days to secure housing, income, and support. Without it, they risk homelessness, exploitation and exclusion.

We fund organisations that help people move from arrival to independence—through safe housing, legal advice, language support, education and pathways into work. We also invest in systemic change, supporting work that seeks to make the immigration and resettlement system fairer and more effective.

The Role
As a Grants Manager, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering funding that makes a lasting difference. You will assess applications, play a key part in decision-making, and build strong relationships with organisations across the refugee and migration sector. You will carry out policy research, deepen your sector knowledge, and visit funded organisations to learn directly from their work. You will also help us refine and improve our approach to grant making, ensuring our funding is as impactful as possible.

The Candidate
We are looking for someone who has experience in impactful grant making and who deeply understands the UK migration policy landscape and the challenges facing refugees and people seeking asylum. You will be an excellent writer and communicator, able to make a persuasive case for funding decisions. You will have a collaborative approach to grant making and value the role of networks and partnerships in achieving change. You will think systemically, recognising how funding can help shift systems, and you will be confident analysing the financial health of organisations to inform effective grant making. About the role

We're looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our residential service based in Croydon. You will support the Service Manager to provide leadership and line management to a team of Recovery Workers, Engagement Workers, and other frontline care and support staff. You will have knowledge around the Mental Health complexities that residents can face, and have a can-do attitude which can help empower the team to deliver their KPI's. We look for:

Pharmacist Support, crowned Small Charity of the Year 2023 at the Association of Charitable Organisations Awards and recognised for excellence in workplace wellbeing at the 2024 Culture Pioneer Awards, is looking for a Senior Marketing & Communications Officer to join our dynamic team.

Who are we?

We’re the pharmacy profession’s independent charity, providing vital support to pharmacists, former pharmacists and pharmacy students. Over the last five years, we’ve undergone transformational change and are now gearing up to deliver our next five-year strategy, driven by our wellbeing-focused vision and mission.

What’s the role?

The Senior Marketing & Communications Officer will play a key role in delivering our marketing, communications and fundraising strategy. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Senior Manager, you will:

• Develop and implement targeted marketing plans to promote our wellbeing focused services and grow awareness of our work.
• Lead the creation of compelling digital and print content, including video production and editing.
• Manage our social media channels, delivering engaging and impactful campaigns.
• Enhance our website’s content and functionality, using analytics to measure and improve performance.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to amplify our mission, strengthen relationships with supporters and foster new partnerships.
• Support press and media interactions, developing stories to highlight our impact.
• Contribute to wellbeing and fundraising campaigns to drive engagement and income.
• Support coordination and attendance at pharmacy events across the country.

What we’re looking for:

We’re seeking a creative and driven individual with:

• At least three years of experience in marketing and communications, ideally within the charity sector.
• Proven expertise in content creation, social media management and digital marketing tools.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and design platforms like Canva and InDesign.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in website management (e.g., WordPress) and data analysis to drive performance improvements.
• A passion for storytelling and generating media coverage to highlight impactful work.
• A commitment to our values—demonstrating passion for our mission, drive to promote wellbeing within the pharmacy sector, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and volunteers.
