The Ethical Property Foundation is the only dedicated property advice charity serving the UK voluntary sector. We support over 450 voluntary organisations p.a. with expert and independent property advice and education. We are currently seeking one or more self-employed Chartered Surveyors (or with an equivalent professional qualification), to augment our team and specifically, to assist us in delivering our affordable consultancy.
We are particularly looking for surveyors with an ability to think and report strategically or offer specialisms such as building surveying and planning.
Our Associate Property Advisers are all extraordinary people: senior property professionals. As part of this team, you will be assigned projects to lead on or supporting other members. You will use your communication skills to gain the trust of our clients, many of whom support vulnerable people in challenging circumstances, and empower them to expand their property knowledge and confidence. You will use your wide knowledge of the property sector to investigate/analyse client issues and develop suitable options and solutions. The projects you will deliver include property health checks, feasibility studies, options appraisals & development of client property strategies. Average project time allocation: between 4 – 5 days. There may be opportunities to deliver webinar training too.
Our clients support every kind of good cause and are responsible for every type of property. In the last 12 months, besides conventional office premises, we have advised on: church buildings, oast houses, former schools, industrial units, fields, warehouses, libraries, theatres, and mills.
Location: Flexible working from home. Projects will include client site visits in England, Wales and Scotland.
Day Rate: £220

Account Management

The Role

Qualifications
- University degree – BA or BSc
Experience
- Prior career experience of working within grants management administration, processes and systems – either from within Grants Management or from Programmatic teams.
- Proven experience in collaborating with multi-country stakeholders within a multinational organization, and/or organization with significant complexity.
Functional Competencies
- Have extensive knowledge and experience of working with grant management processes and systems.
- Ability to facilitate and provide training to others on systems.
- Experience in working with grantees and nurturing those relationships.

About the team
The Income Generation Directorate at Shelter comprises of 5 departments, delivering a mature fundraising programme that has seen continuous year on year diversity and growth. The directorate generates over £48m gross income each year, of which a high percentage is unrestricted. Our Corporate Partnerships team is split into two areas - New Partnerships which generates income by securing new relationships with private sector businesses, and the Partnership Management team, where this role sits, is responsible for the growth of Shelter’s voluntary income by managing and developing existing corporate partnerships spanning a variety of sectors. And, as the division as a whole continues to grow and develop, it's a truly exciting time to join us.
About the role
This is an essential and valued role within the Partnership Management team, as you will help design and deliver impactful partnerships to generate income to fund our vital work in response to the national housing emergency. You will lead on the employee fundraising and engagement activities across our valued corporate partnerships that include B&Q, Nationwide, HSBC UK, M&S and Network Rail. You will also lead on the success and development of a dedicated portfolio of partners, delivering colleague and customer facing fundraising and commercial campaigns to a high quality. You will utilise your proactive nature and creative skills to deliver new and innovative partnership activities that deliver against team targets and will be responsible for developing clear and efficient partnership plans to achieve these agreed goals. You will also be responsible for monthly reporting on income from your partners, updating our supporter database, and supporting the team in their activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are kept.

2. Job Description
The Head of External Engagement is a key leadership post within the organisation. The role encompasses responsibility for the development and delivery of the organisation’s external activity, including profile, brand identity and stakeholder engagement (including the public), fundraising, and driving income generation in new areas, notably commercial partnerships. It also forms part of Sound and Music’s senior management team, who under the leadership of the Chief Executive are responsible for overseeing the organisation’s programme of activity, strategic development, external profile and a positive and productive organisational culture.
An experienced fundraiser and communicator, you will lead the external engagement team and support the delivery of its strategic and operational plans. Leadership and management
External leadership:

Background
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement, in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Gaza, and Lebanon.
MAP is in a period of ambitious growth and rapid development, as we respond to the massive humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the West Bank, and Lebanon. Due to this growth, we are seeking a Director of Fundraising and Marketing to lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy.
Purpose of role
The purpose of this role within MAP is to build a high-performing fundraising and marketing team in the UK, and in new international markets, to drive and stabilise significantly increased fundraising performance across a range of income streams. Summary of the role:
The Procurement & VFM Manager reports to the Head of Finance, serving as a technical lead on procurement and logistics matters. The role involves introducing, developing, and implementing best practices across our UK headquarters, providing technical support to Country Offices. The aim is to support Muslim Aid in delivering high-quality, accessible, and reliable emergency/humanitarian aid across its UK headquarters and Country Offices, involving challenging and encouraging engagement in the ongoing development of procurement and logistics systems, policies, procedures, and associated planning.
The post holder will manage the procurement and logistics framework and tools to strengthen the capabilities and knowledge of all stakeholders, ensuring the adoption of best practices and industry standards across global operations. Working closely with key stakeholders, the Procurement Manager will help identify and develop a robust system and framework across business operations to support ongoing logistics and procurement activities. The role also includes overseeing all education and training provided to staff, volunteers, consultants, and those associated with Muslim Aid.
About the Role:
- Manage and develop the procurement and logistics resource and strategy for UK headquarters, offering technical support to Country Offices for local strategy and planning aimed at strengthening local procurement capacity and resources.
- Assist and support UK and Country Office Focal Points, as well as wider staff, in establishing and developing local procurement networks to support local implementation
- Set up and maintain a supplier database, conduct relevant due diligence checks for Muslim Aid suppliers, partners and other stakeholders.
- Apply critical analysis to ensure that we meet and exceed our commitment to building a transparent, standardised, ethical and safe supply chain for all internal and external stakeholders and all those connected to Muslim Aid.
- Periodically review Muslim Aid’s Global Procurement policy and procedures, reporting mechanisms, risk registers and other procedures managed/supervised by UK and Country Office teams and partners.
- Lead the development and implementation of value for money strategies to ensure that the charity delivers its services efficiently and effectively.

To be successful in this role:
- Education to degree standard with a professional qualification in a relevant field.
- Experience of procurement and logistics practices within developing countries.
- Proven experience designing, facilitating, and evaluating procurement training programmes/workshops in different cultural and organisational contexts and at a range of levels.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate and form effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating patience, tact, diplomacy and sensitivity to culturally diverse environments.
- Ability to accurately and systematically assess/evaluate environments, with an eye for detail and the ability to spot inconsistencies and potential threats thereby developing solutions and tools to improve risk assessments.
- Good organisation, coordination and project management skills.
