Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children a hope and a future. We are looking for a well-organised, relational leader who is passionate about the way TLG enables local churches across the UK to get alongside struggling families in their communities. The Church Relationships Lead will work as part of the national Volunteer Programmes (VP) Team, reporting to the Early Intervention Network Support Manager and collaborating with staff responsible for programme training and development.

This is an exciting time to join our growing VP team to support an increasing number of churches who have chosen to partner with TLG through running the Early Intervention (EI) programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting EI Coordinators to effectively run their centres, as well as training new EI coach teams.

TLG is a Christian charity and, as a team, we want to bring our faith to the work we do; as such, we are recruiting an individual with a strong and vibrant Christian faith. TLG is also committed to safeguarding children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. About Fusion:

• Reach out better across the community to make more people aware that we and our partners are here to help.

About the Community Outreach Worker Role
Fusion is employing a Community Outreach Worker who has a great sense of community and customer service, enjoys working in an outreach environment and who is looking to make a positive difference to the local community.

Working closely with a second Community Outreach Worker and the Community Project Coordinator you will be performing tasks associated with community outreach including identifying and directly engaging with hard-to-reach individuals and families, providing responsive and effective support, deliver drop-in information sessions, recruit, induct and train volunteers to support the project, organise and host community engagement events throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

Act as a ‘keyworker’  for the co-ordination and delivery of individuals and families support with the assistance of the wider Fusion team.
Build a relationship with the KCC Community Wardens with a view to developing partnership working.
Recruit and induct a total of 15 volunteers from the local community to assist with the project 5 in year 1, 5 in year 2, and 5 in year 3.
Organise and deliver 4 community engagement events each year of the project.
Organise and deliver a minimum of 12 drop in surgeries each year of the project in various locations.
Assisted by the Community Project Coordinator attend regular stakeholder steering group meetings

Role Summary

How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Crime Reduction Advocate within our Refocus Team based in Merseyside. Working primarily with female individuals who have been identified as being at risk to low level domestic violence. Please note due to the nature of the work there is an occupational requirement for the applicant to be female. It is key that it this project is survivor focused and looks to address abusive behaviours at their source, at an early intervention phase, via support and education. This means working with both those who have carried out such acts and those who have been made subject to them.

The successful candidate is expected to support a caseload of individuals in order to jointly assess and manage any initial risk and to ensure all safeguarding protocols have been followed. The role is not that of and IDSVA, although some of the skills will overlap, the is to provide on-going support to individuals in areas of need in which they feel dis-empowered and hence build confidence and skills. This process will happen in partnership with the organisation DMAT who will run ‘See the signs’ course which will look to educate and equip individuals to feel safe and empowered in this area. It is important to note that you may also be required to work with people displaying potentially abusive or coercive behaviours (perpetrators), offering education and support to promote long term change.

Supporting our Newcastle Operations team, this role will help to build FareShare North East’s capacity to redistribute surplus food in the region. Recruiting, training, and leading volunteers, as well as working to support people on employability skills placement, this role would suit someone with a passion for helping people.

Experience working with volunteers would be beneficial, but full training will be provided to help you grow in the role. No two days are the same at FSNE, with the successful candidate being expected to pitch in and help wherever needed. Duties & Responsibilities:

Volunteer Recruitment:

• Develop and implement a regional volunteer recruitment strategy that will deliver an extensive pool of diverse and engaged volunteers to ensure the operational needs of FareShare North East (FSNE) are met in a timely manner.
• Recruit, build and maintain relationships with a wide range of regional volunteer sources, ensuring regular engagement leading to long term partnerships.

Volunteer Engagement:

• Develop and deliver a regional engagement programme that ensures all volunteers have a rewarding experience, whilst effectively contributing to FSNE’s overall development

General Duties:

• Always be willing to help stop food going to waste, working with volunteers to respond quickly & proactively to short dated food arriving 
• Actively support our food redistribution efforts, jumping on a van, helping out with picking, or pitching in with cleaning alongside our volunteers 
• Participate in volunteer events and celebrations, actively engaging our volunteers to ensure they feel valued and keep coming back 
• Be approachable & welcoming to volunteers at all times, making sure they feel like part of the team and feel involved in everything that we do 
• As a minimum, take part in one volunteering activity every month – spending a day in the warehouse working alongside the volunteers or out on the vans as a driver or driver’s mate

In this pivotal role, you will develop and manage a comprehensive communications strategy for the charity, making a significant impact on children and families affected by the childhood cancer neuroblastoma. 

As an exceptional communicator and storyteller, you will have the ability to write for a variety of audiences, inspiring engagement, raising awareness, and driving income growth. You will be experienced in developing and implementing multi-channel communications plans, encompassing social media, digital, and print. Additionally, you will manage and grow the charity’s press and media engagement. 

This is an exciting time to join the charity as we embark on several major campaigns and advocate for improved experiences and outcomes for children and families affected by childhood cancer.

• Develop, implement and manage a dynamic communications plan for Solving Kids’ Cancer UK that encompasses the three key pillars of our work, across all communication channels;  

• Lead on the development and implementation of online marketing campaigns to raise wider awareness, demonstrate our impact, grow our income, and position our organisation as a thought leader in paediatric oncology;  

• Develop and grow our charity’s’ media presence and profile;  

• Raise the charity’s profile and reach through the generation of new online and offline audiences, followers and supporters.

We are looking for two individuals to help deliver an impactful GOALS service across London and build effective networks of support for people before, during and after treatment.

A main aspect of the role will be to support and work closely with individuals presenting with lived experience of gambling harm issues and/or people affected by this issue. The GOALS Supporter will understand gambling related harm and dependency issues and be able to ensure safe working environments and take a robust lead on safeguarding and harm minimisation procedures and policy.

The post holder will work with the Director of Support Services and GOALS Coordinator to support the development and maintenance of the systems and structure of the service, ensuring that governance and polices are implemented, safeguarding and safe working practices are systematic and develop a clear understanding of how the service integrates with the national gambling treatment service.

Other support activities will be developed, such as group support and weekly meet ups.

The post holder will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, deliver presentations and other promotions within community, education and health centres to help grow and develop the service.
