1- Purpose:

The Finance and Operations Manager ensures the effective financial, administrative, and operational functioning of Right To Play UK and support the establishment of Right To Play Ireland by overseeing accurate financial records, coordinating people and legal processes, and continuously improving business systems and practices to support and enable successful fundraising outcomes.

2- Accountability & Responsibilities:

Finance (90%)

• Lead financial management, compliance, budgeting and reporting for Right To Play UK and Right To Play Ireland by ensuring accurate and timely recording of all expenses and revenue connected with the operation of the offices
•  Ensure revenue is appropriately captured and coded and reconciled with bank.
• Oversee liquidity/cashflow, procurement, payroll, audits, tax reporting, and external financial relationships
• Deliver reliable management and statutory reports to leadership, Boards, HQ, and authorities.
• Lead for staff payroll and benefits, HRIS data accuracy, payroll coordination, contracts, insurance and benefits administration, and employee records to ensure compliance, efficiency, and strong organisational support
• Supporting global finance in finance related initiatives, as needed
• Where applicable, ensure compliance on all governance requirements

Operations (10%)

• Direct office operations, administration, IT, and legal coordination by establishing efficient administrative processes, managing office infrastructure and IT security, coordinating vendors and service providers, monitoring licenses and compliance requirements, and supporting organisational risk management and legal obligations.

3-Scope (geographical and/or functional), Impact and Autonomy

The incumbent operates with significant autonomy, holding delegated authority over financial management, systems, and office operations, including safeguarding all funds received, and preparing supplier invoices for payment. They operate with high trust and independence and is expected to safeguard assets and ensure full statutory, fiscal, and HR data compliance.

4-Leadership and Staff management

The role exercises functional and collaborative leadership with no direct reports, providing guidance and influence across Right To Play UK and Right To Play Ireland. Leadership is demonstrated through setting standards and supporting teams to work effectively within organizational policies and financial controls, by providing authoritative guidance to the offices on financial policies, internal controls, and risk management; escalating material risks and recommending mitigation actions to the Executive Director and HQ Finance. The incumbent is expected to operate effectively in a low segregation environment due to small staff size by implementing and monitoring compensating controls (spot checks, reviews with Executive Director, exception reporting) to maintain strong control integrity.

5- Information requirement for decision-making

The incumbent requires secure access to accurate financial, donor, and operational data - primarily through the MCRM and ERP systems - which is already identified and readily available and applies established analysis and reporting methods as a super-user to interpret information, ensure compliance, protect confidential constituent records, and support informed financial and operational decision-making.

6- Innovation and Improvements

The incumbent is expected to drive process improvements and functional innovations within the offices—data integrity, financial tracking, and internal collaboration—while supporting others to implement these changes, with major or high-risk innovations subject to approval by the Executive Director.

7- Relationships & Communications: Internal / External:

The incumbent maintains key internal relationships with all team members, doner services team and HQ colleagues in MCRM, Finance, and People & Culture, and external relationships with Board members, and event partners, using effective communication and donor stewardship to support organizational objectives and ensure smooth operations.  The incumbent stewards Right To Play UK and Right To Play Ireland’s fiduciary obligations and is the primary authorized liaison with banks, landlords, insurance and payroll providers, external auditors, tax advisors, and legal counsel.

8- Expertise (Certifications / Education, Professional Experience/Language)

• Post-secondary diploma or undergraduate degree in accounting, business administration, Finance, or other related fields.
• Professional Accounting Designation preferred
• 5 years of progressive finance experience, including audit coordination, statutory filings, and external advisor management
• Adaptable with the aptitude to work well under pressure, and manage multiple competing and/or changing priorities
• Experience in navigating accounting, banking and payroll platforms

The Foundation for Jewish Heritage is the UK’s only dedicated organisation focused on preserving and activating Jewish built heritage as a catalyst for education, culture, memory and community renewal.

The Foundation has reached a point where its fundraising structure needs to match the scale of its ambition.

Until now, much of the fundraising has been led directly by the Chief Executive, supported by trustees, consultants and external bid writers. This has delivered significant success, particularly around major heritage projects and institutional funders. However, the organisation now needs a more structured, proactive and relationship-led fundraising function.

The Head of Development will work closely with the Chief Executive, trustees and a new Fundraising Committee to broaden the donor base, strengthen major relationships, develop new income streams, and ensure that the Foundation is no longer dependent on a small number of individuals or on the Chief Executive holding most fundraising relationships personally.

Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority (MRWA) is looking to appoint a Community Engagement and Reuse Officer to deliver the annual Zero Waste Community Fund programme and help develop a stronger reuse culture across the Liverpool City Region (LCR). About MRWA

MRWA is a strategic waste and resource management authority, leading on the recycling and management of municipal waste across LCR.

Along with its private sector partners, MRWA manages waste resources, recycling and the transportation of waste on behalf of six district councils across LCR including Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral.

Videre is an award-winning, UK-registered NGO that exposes human rights abuses and holds perpetrators to account. We work directly with communities in stressed environments, equipping networks of activists and community leaders with the technology and training necessary to safely capture visual documentation of political violence, human rights violations, and other systemic abuses. Our aim is to ensure that the concerns and knowledge of affected communities drive advocacy, policy, and legal action.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a critical senior role in the organisation, reporting to the Senior Director-Programming. The role is responsible for managing the organisation’s programmes across 2 locations in Sub Saharan Africa and South East Asia, line managing three people. The position provides leadership on direct programming for community-led investigations and evidence gathering as well as our CSO partnership programme in two geographies. The Head of Programmes works closely with the Senior Management Team (SMT) on critical areas including fundraising and strategic development.   

The priority for this role is the safe and high quality performance of projects. The balance between ‘doing’ and ‘managing’ in this role varies depending on available resources for each project, and the ability to create competent teams to delegate to.

Location: UK, France, Nairobi or Thailand preferred. Remote applicants considered.

Package: Pay is dependent on location.  The UK salary of £62,000 plus pension contribution will be converted using ICSC scales. All locations receive 28 days annual leave, counselling support and annual wellbeing days.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme Leadership and Delivery

• Working closely with the Senior Director- Programming, lead the development and implementation of programme strategy and annual plans, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and priorities.

What you’ll be doing

As Senior Programme Coordinator, you'll help make sure that support reaches as many young people as possible and that it's delivered to a consistently high standard.

You'll lead a small team of sports coaches and youth mentors, helping them plan great sessions, develop their practice and overcome the day-to-day challenges that come with the job. You'll also build and maintain strong relationships with schools, alternative provisions and community partners to keep programmes running smoothly.

This is a hands-on role. Alongside keeping regional delivery on track, you'll still spend time working directly with young people: being a positive presence, modelling good practice and helping create the kind of safe, engaging environments where young people can thrive.

You'll also take the lead on the activities that go beyond our weekly sessions such as organising holiday programmes, Career Taster Days, regional trips and events that give young people experiences they wouldn't otherwise have. These are some of the most rewarding parts of the role and a real chance to see young people shine in a different context.

Using sport as the starting point and mentoring as the foundation, we help them build confidence, resilience and the skills they need to create brighter futures.  Rugby helps start the relationship, but the work goes far beyond sport. The charity uses mentoring, life skills, wellbeing support and career-focused activities to help young people build confidence and prepare for life after school.

Our work focuses on four areas: life skills, raising aspirations, physical wellbeing and mental wellbeing and the aim is to make sure exclusion from school does not become exclusion from society. You’ll be part of a team giving young people consistent support, trusted adults and practical chances to move towards education, employment or training.

Lincolnshire Rural Support Network (LRSN) is seeking an exceptional new Chief Executive Officer to lead the next chapter of our journey, supporting the agricultural and horticultural community across Lincolnshire.

The National Flood Forum (NFF) is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual for the role Head of Flood Support – Hybrid with significant travel in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about working with communities, especially those at risk of flooding. This role is to support our Flood Support Work, encompassing the delivery of a professional Helpline and Community based Flood Recovery activity.

Key Details:

• Location: Home-based / Hybrid with significant travel, overnight stays and occasional weekend work.
• Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Salary: £42,230.00travel expenses covered
• Contract: Permanent

About the National Flood Forum:

The National Flood Forum is a national charity founded by those affected by flooding, working to support and represent individuals and communities at risk. The organization focuses on empowering flood-affected communities to recover and improve flood resilience. The NFF encourages applications from individuals with lived experience of flooding, and from diverse backgrounds.

Role Overview:

This role is a member of the organisation’s management team and has responsibility for the delivery of our flood support work. The postholder will lead the delivery of a professional helpline service and oversee reactive and proactive flood support services to communities and business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Flood Support: Lead and manage high-quality proactive and reactive Flood Support Services for communities and businesses at risk of, and impacted by, flooding, including helpline & recovery services and management of the flood support vehicle. Ensure service quality through performance management, maintaining service consistency, maximising strategic impact, championing best practice, and delivering against objectives.
• Stakeholder relationships: Develop and maintain key partnerships with Risk Management authorities, (RMAs), and other stakeholders. Act as senior engagement lead, providing a clear escalation route and positioning National Flood Forum  as a trusted, informed critical friend for flooded communities.
• Research and Evidence: Oversee flood support research, collecting and evaluating evidence to strengthen advocacy. Provide insight to support policy and practice influence.
• Income: Identify, scope, and lead the development of high-quality engagement contracts, working with teams and management to prioritise and secure income.
• Political and Fundraising support: Provide data, case studies, and research to support political engagement and fundraising. Attend relevant meetings.

· People Management: Manage a matrix team, fostering collaboration, motivation, and development. Mentor team members and ensure skills and competence are maintained to achieve high performance

All activities are expected to be carried out in line with policies, procedures and relevant regulations and legislation, respecting the organisation’s values and behaviours. Experience and Qualifications required:

• Empathetic: Understand the challenges faced by those at risk of flooding and help to work with communities and agencies to provide practical solutions.
• Organized and Flexible: Proven experience working to deadlines and prioritising workloads. Able to self-motivate and work in isolation or as part of a small team.
• Projects: Comprehensive experience of managing projects including able to analyse, diagnose problems  through to implementing effective solutions.
• Communication: Able to stay calm and constructive in challenging situations.
• Knowledge – Working knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation and current practice.
• Staff management: Have previously directly managed staff.
• Qualifications - BTEC or NVQ4 or relevant experience in one or more relevant subjects e.g. environmental science, development, engagement.
• Full driving licence
