Our Helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through our grants programme, we support hundreds of local organisations working with older people across the UK.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

As Policy Officer you'll use your expertise to influence change on key areas, including housing, household costs and income. You'll investigate complex policy areas and translate these into engaging and accessible content for reports and briefings to build a compelling evidence base to directly impact national policy. You will conduct vital qualitative and quantitative research, ensuring our policy positions are robust and informed by real-life experiences, speaking directly to older people in financial hardship. You will also have opportunities to work with a range of external stakeholders to develop and advocate for our key policy calls. 

You will have experience of conducting research and producing high-quality written analysis, with excellent written and verbal skills to effectively tailor information for different audiences. You will be able to apply your existing understanding of public policy, policymaking processes and advocacy to create positive change. You'll need experience of building strong working relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders. Above all, you will have a genuine passion for our cause!

Job Title: Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker 

Location: Based in Catford in a well connected area near Bellingham, Catford, and Catford Bridge stations, with nearby bus stops. Please be kindly aware there is no step free access at this location and some of our other sites.

Salary: £28,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rota which includes 3 to 4 night shifts a week between 20:00 - 08:30. There may be some flexibility required around these hours as per service requirements.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker to cover the night shift in our service based in Lewisham which offers specialist intensive rehabilitation for people who require more enhanced interventions than that which is offered by commissioned community services. We support residents who live with us for up to nine months and have been discharged from acute wards to avoid admission into inpatient rehabilitation. We support our residents to step down into less supported accommodation to become more independent and integrated into the community. 

In this role, you will be the main point of contact during the night shift, leading the team by example and providing specialist support to empower the team and residents to ensure resident safety, wellbeing, and progress towards their recovery goals. You will support in managing and creating an environment everyone feels safe and empowered, and are building relationships with relevant partners and individuals key towards their journey. You will create support plans, plan and hold activities, and further support them to achieve greater independence. you’ll deliver one to one therapeutic support, act as a key worker, and help residents develop the skills and confidence to manage their mental health and wellbeing. You’ll also contribute to support plans, reflective learning, and team development, while maintaining a safe and positive living environment through effective housing management and day to day support. The night shift plays a crucial role in continuing the high quality care provided during the day, ensuring a safe, respectful, and responsive environment for residents. night staff are expected to remain awake, alert, and actively engaged throughout their shift. Sleeping while on duty is strictly prohibited and may lead to disciplinary action, including dismissal for gross misconduct.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Being the lead point of contact for the night shift, supporting the team and residents with specific needs and queries
• Supporting night shifts across two residential properties.
• Providing tailored, person centred support that promotes recovery, rehabilitation and independence.
• Helping residents build skills and confidence to move towards independent or supported living.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Dual Diagnosis Worker with expertise in mental health and substance use to join our team in Croydon. Based in a residential service, you’ll support residents with mental health, complex needs, and dual diagnosis. In this role, you’ll use your specialist knowledge to help both residents and the wider team overcome personal challenges. 

You’ll use evidence-based approaches to support recovery, independence, and integration through holistic assessments. As a comorbidity specialist, you’ll guide the team in achieving positive outcomes for residents. Your main duties include:

• Undertake joint holistic assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and interventions to support harm reduction and minimisation.
• Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet individual needs.
• Help reduce episodes of crisis and assist residents/participants to access services which can offer alternatives to crisis support.
• Work closely with support staff and clinical teams to support and advise them on interventions and approaches to meet resident/participant comorbid, complex mental health and substance misuse needs.
• Support multi-disciplinary teams and the wider community teams with support, advice, signposting, and move on care planning.

We are looking for someone who has specialist knowledge on how to support individuals with comorbid and complex needs, with experience in interventions, and in a similar role. The Role: Global Data Officer
As Global Data Officer, you will play a key role in strengthening the availability and use of high-quality data for decision-making at PEAS. You’ll work across both our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and Data Development teams, combining strong technical skills in Python, SQL, and Excel with a passion for using data to drive impact. About the Role

The Early Intervention Coordinator is a key role within the School Based Needs Service, working as part of the borough and district-based community teams, comprised of NHS staff and third sector workforce under the umbrella of The Surrey Wellbeing Partnership. This team will build support around schools offering a wide menu of services across a cluster of schools based on borough/district boundaries.

The role of the EIC is to deliver and support children and young people through one- to- one direct work, small group sessions and signposting to specialist services. These interventions will be delivered across a network of secondary schools in the Runnymede, Surrey Heath and Waverley areas.

Responsibilities 

1. Design, deliver and review evidence-based interventions for children and young people which aim to improve mental health and well-being and build on existing strengths

• Assess the needs and strengths of the referred young person and help them identify individual goals to achieve desired change (Goal Based Outcome Assessments).

• Manage own caseload of children and young people facing a wide range of issues, in both one to one and group settings, to address emerging needs and help build resilience, develop coping strategies and improve their mental health & wellbeing.

The Role
