We’re looking for a strategic ACCEND Delivery Manager to spearhead Macmillan’s implementation of the NHSE Aspirant Cancer Career Education and Development (ACCEND) Programme with internal colleagues working with NHS organisations, and also to work with Macmillan colleagues in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. T
his multi-professional initiative is designed to establish a career and education framework for nurses, Allied Health Professionals, and support staff working with people affected by cancer.
What you’ll be doing
- Define and deliver Macmillan’s external offer to support ACCEND implementation to healthcare organisations and professionals and across the UK.
- Lead engagement with NHSE and Macmillan’s devolved nation teams to support the implementation of ACCEND in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales
- Scope and prioritise external activity using insight and data, and define levels of support required.
- Design and deliver an internal education and training programme, including an internal community of practice.
- Create a toolkit for Macmillan colleagues to support conversations with healthcare professionals about ACCEND.
- Coordinate internal working groups, manage risks and issues, and maintain governance and project documentation.
- Develop impact reporting, support budget tracking, and contribute to strategic updates for senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with communications teams to develop engagement plans and resources.

The Role
What will I be doing?
- Create a powerful alliance of Corporate Partners to influence science strategies and investment in areas such as advanced sensing, photonics, quantum technologies, semiconductors, renewable energy, autonomous systems and medtech
- Secure long-term relationships by delivering impactful services that meet partners’ needs: working with cross-organisation teams to drive take up of IOP membership, professional registrations, thought leadership articles and access to publishing content
- Manage risks and ensure financial sustainability of the Corporate Partners Alliance
Projects you work on may include:
- Deliver annual series of leadership visits to Corporate Partners organisations to explore interests and common priorities around skills, R&D, infrastructure and business support
- Manage and deliver science insights and advocacy activities with Corporate Partners, via high-level meetings with senior stakeholders in government, industry, finance and academia
- Facilitate ideation workshops, prepare briefings and produce reports to develop new insights and seed new activities to support IOP and partner priorities
Who will I work with?
- Executive Directors and Chief Technology Officers in large R&D intensive businesses
- IOP leadership and cross-organisational teams including our publishing company
- Closely with IOP Associate Director for Science, Business and Data Insights
You are likely to have the following experience
- Credibility in building corporate partnerships with c-suite and senior leaders in R&D intensive, large businesses
- Knowledge of working at the interface of government policy, business and academia regarding science, technology and innovation
- Experience of implementing projects that involve managing senior stakeholders and decision makers in business and securing income targets

About the role

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring proven experience in managing high-value relationships across corporate partnerships, major donors, trusts & foundations, and statutory bodies. You'll have a strong track record of securing and growing long-term partnerships, including successfully negotiating six or seven-figure sums with corporate partners and/or major donors. You'll bring outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to engage high-value supporters and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders.

- Lead the corporate, trust & foundation, major donor and other high value supporter strategies.
- Manage and develop the Rapid Response Network, retaining existing partnerships whilst also identifying and securing new partnerships.

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Partnerships and Development to lead and drive our growth, ensuring the long-term sustainability and expansion of our work.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join UKCF at a time of growth, ambition and innovation. We are looking for an interim Partnerships Officer to help us build and deliver impactful national partnerships that bring real, measurable benefits to communities across the UK.
Initially for a period of six months, you will hit the ground running to pick up an existing portfolio of national programmes currently under delivery. About the opportunity
Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and wider Philanthropy Department, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will identify and cultivate fruitful partnerships with a range of small, medium and large businesses.
They will help maximise the potential of corporate and other organisations for funding, volunteer recruitment, and other philanthropic opportunities, to enable growth and sustainability for Action Tutoring. This will be achieved by securing and nurturing small to medium sized organisations to provide financial support for programmes. Additionally, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will engage with business to generate volunteers from across the country to deliver both online and face to face tutoring.

Interviews: The first round of interviews will be held online on Wednesday, 15th October, and the second round will happen in person, with the location dependent on the applicant's address.
Start date: Ideally Monday 24th November 2025
Place of work: This is a flexible/hybrid role, and while you can be based anywhere in England, a willingness to travel to our London office is essential. The office address is 8-10 Fivefields, Grosvenor Gardens, London SW1W 0DH.
Contract and hours: Full-time fixed-term contract of 12 months. We offer flexible hours with 9.30-4 as core hours. A full working week is 37.5 hours.
Duties and responsibilities
- Identify and persuade small to medium sized businesses to fund specific schools in Action Tutoring regions as part of a pilot of a ‘local champions’ scheme.
- Drive new applications from potential corporate volunteer tutors, ensuring a strong supply of high quality applications to meet growth targets in each region, for both face to face and online delivery.
- Generate regular reports and communicate updates to volunteer partners to demonstrate the value and impact of their volunteers and financial support.
- Support programme staff to develop local partnerships, through businesses and public sector links.
- Maintain accurate records of recruitment channels and relationships; use data to analyse the effectiveness of different recruitment channels, using this information to inform future work.
- Any other ad hoc responsibilities as deemed relevant by the CEO.

- Have high computer literacy; familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (desirable).

You will likely be more successful in this role if you have:
- Experience in managing or building partnerships/relationships with corporations (or other institutions/sectors e.g. Civil Service, universities or schools)
- Experience in corporate (or other) fundraising.
- Experience in a sales-based role.
- Experience in using databases.
- Evidence of an interest in education and/or the third sector.
