Job description

the Friary’s mission is ‘To empower homeless and disadvantaged people to rebuild their lives.’

Established in 1988 in West Bridgford, Nottingham the Friary is highly regarded in the local community. The charity provides advice, support and a range of drop-in services to our visitors. In 2018 there were 18,000 presentations by 948 unique individuals.

We are now seeking a new Chief Executive to lead and inspire our dedicated staff and volunteers and deliver our recently approved Strategic and Business plan 2019-22.

Candidates should have empathy with the aims and ethos of a faith based organisation. They must be aware of the issues surrounding homelessness and rough sleeping, including the political, social and legislative implications. Experience of managing a complex organisation and providing excellent customer service in a challenging environment is essential. First class communication skills, experience of successful fundraising and a willingness to work flexibly are also requirements for this key position at the Friary.
