We are looking for a Community Fundraising Officer to join our Public Fundraising team to deliver our Facebook Challenges, build relationships with our wonderful fundraisers and help them raise as much money as possible for people with arthritis.

About the role

You will play a key part in developing and delivering our community fundraising strategy, making sure that anyone and everyone who wants to fundraise for people with arthritis has a great experience doing it. You will build strong relationships with supporters, be that as part of a golf club charity of the year partnership, workplace fundraising or supporting someone with a personal connection to arthritis to raise money in their local area. Developing, delivering and ultimately growing our Facebook challenges offer will be a huge focus – we have some great learnings and are now looking to take them to the next level. There will be plenty of opportunity to test and learn as part of this, and you will get the chance to learn and develop in the role too.

You will work collaboratively with teams across the organisation, from marketing to product development to events, to make sure our products meet the needs of our supporters and that their journey through the organisation is seamless. You will join an ambitious, creative and passionate fundraising team who put people with arthritis and our supporters at the heart of our work.

About you

If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:

• Proven successful track record of planning and delivering community fundraising products (or similar) to achieve a good return on investment.
• Experience of delivering excellent supporter or customer stewardship through multi-channels and building relationships with a wide variety of supporters on the phone, in writing and face to face driving engagement, increasing income, and increasing supporter retention.  
• Experience to successfully and independently manage projects, delivering to pre-set deadlines, managing high workloads and ability to understand how and when to prioritise work. 
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.  
• Understanding of the Fundraising Code of Practice and ensuring all fundraisers are always following correct guidance.  
• Skilled at building excellent relationships with a wide range of people. 
  Understanding and prior experience of using customer relationship management (CRM) databases.

*As a hybrid worker the expectation is that you will spend around 40% of your working time in our office spaces or working in community settings. About the role

Main Responsibilities

• Work with colleagues to design and implement systems for the LEF to collect data and to capture and share learning in a systematic way that reflects our values and our commitment to Power, Cuture and Inclusion.

• Coordinate a timetable of activities for LEF to learn from its grants and direct work (such as regular feedback surveys and internal reflection sessions).

• Work with colleagues to collate and analyse evidence from organisations we fund to identify key insights and learning (such as reports and notes from grant management calls).

• Work with the Head of Learning & Insight and wider grants team colleagues to prepare our grants data for publication (for example through 360Giving and as part of the Funders for Racial Equality Alliance (FREA) Audit)

Metabolic Support UK (MSUK) are the leading organisation for Inherited Metabolic Disorders (IMDs), supporting thousands of people worldwide through providing individual support, building communities, and continually advocating for and empowering those living with IMDs.

Role Overview 

MSUK are seeking a passionate and proactive Community Engagement Officer to strengthen and grow our patient and family community. There are over 1500 IMDs and many of our community use social media, other patient groups and in-person events to connect and learn. This role is central to how we engage with the people we support — through social media, community groups, events, and collaborative partnerships. You’ll be the bridge between our charity and the people we serve, helping to build a supportive, inclusive, and informed community.  

Key Responsibilities 

Engagement & Social Media 

• Manage and monitor all online patient communities responding to community messages and comments with empathy and timeliness 

• Moderate relevant support online community groups, ensuring they are safe, active, and welcoming spaces 

• Identify themes and areas of interest to advocate internally for MSUK response to meeting community need 

• Signpost our Individual Support service, identify and flag individual enquiries to the Individual Support Lead 

• Working with our Campaign & Comms Lead, grow the charity’s presence across social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok) 

• Develop content that resonates with patients, families, and supporters, amplifying community stories and voices

As an Immigration Lawyer/ Immigration Caseworker Supervisor in the UK Legal Team, you will run a caseload of complex family reunion entry clearance applications and appeals, you will also supervise cases of colleagues and pro bono solicitors and volunteers, if appropriate. You will be supported by colleagues in the UK Legal team and work in close collaboration with colleagues in SPI France and Greece as well as with professionals in relevant external organisations.

You will be determined and committed to delivery high quality legal casework supporting asylum seeking children to reunite with family members in the UK. You will be attentive to detail, flexible, efficient and able to work independently and under supervision as part of a small and dynamic team. We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with great personality and team ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.

This is a role of variety, opportunity and innovation, and we are looking for someone who embraces change and constantly strives to achieve more.

You will maximise income for Young Live vs Cancer by coaching our supporters to reach their goals, whilst seeking out new fundraising opportunities for your geographical area. Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

The purpose of this role is primarily to support the Philanthropy team with recruitment and stewardship of World Fellows; the delivery of appropriate communications material and donor relationship management. You will manage your portfolio of donors and working with existing supporters, your goal will be to deepen their connection to our cause and inspire transformational gifts that support our work.

This is a truly collaborative role which involves work closely with colleagues across the Foundation, as well as some of our key supporters, to nurture meaningful and beneficial connections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day to day management and support of the Foundation’s World Fellowship programme and network; research, manage and develop donor relationships with a portfolio of donors.
• Plan and maintain regular contact with donors, through the use of events and relevant communications materials and publications.
• Working with the with the events team for the creation of invitation lists and event follow up.
• Independently account manage a group of donors, creating reports and other stewardship materials, and undertake day to day general relationship management.
• Undertake prospect research and the planning of relevant approaches to individuals; network mapping current donors and seeking introductions from current network where possible.
• Lead on the preparation of publications and relevant materials for all donors and supporters.
• Keep comprehensive records on our CRM, Salesforce.
• Ensure payments are requested and receipted in a timely fashion.
• Undertake any other duties as required to support the successful delivery of Fundraising Department objectives.

Main purpose of the role

We are looking for a Personal Assistant / Executive Assistant to the National Leadership Team and Board Secretary, based in our London office. You will have a key role in helping us build our capacity, effectiveness and support systems, working closely with the National Leader / CEO and our passionate and caring leadership team. 

In this pivotal role, you will:

• Provide high-quality administrative and logistical support to the National Leadership Team;
• Coordinate a range of L'Arche national meetings and forums for people with and without learning disabilities;
• Play an important part in internal and external communications, and in project managing cross-cutting initiatives;
• Support governance as a registered charity, company, and care provider through the formal role of Board Secretary;

This position does not offer visa sponsorship and is best suited for a candidate already located in the London area.

Project Background

Come and join our award-winning place-based volunteering programme that works with residents living across Hackney and the City of London.

You will be based out in the community - the programme is based at GP practices - to engage, support and enable local residents and patients to deliver local services for themselves, to meet local needs. We support residents to come together, to share their skills and experience for the benefit of each other, to deliver local groups and activities such as a book group, film club, exercise classes or cooking group. Residents from diverse backgrounds and demographics attend these activities together and make new connections, building strong local communities, all working together to make their area a better place to live. People, many of whom are isolated across all ages, and who have difficult life circumstances, are brought together, providing each other with mutual support and encouragement to develop new skills and pursue life goals, and to feel better able to voice their concerns to services.

You will be joining a nationally recognised project - having won an award from the Royal Society of Public Health in November 2024 - to support residents to fulfil their personal goals, make connections with others, and design activities and services that meet local needs. You will also be supporting people to improve their mental and physical health through signposting them to appropriate services and encouraging them to talk to their GP if they have concerns; and will be working in partnership with GP practice staff to co-create volunteer roles to make the practice more efficient and a better place to visit.

Who are we?

Volunteer Centre Hackney is a medium sized charity (currently 30 staff) based in the London borough of Hackney, working to support local residents to realise their skills and passions through volunteering and social action, and to share these for the benefit of others.

Our mission is to build and strengthen communities across Hackney through supporting residents of all ages and backgrounds to volunteer and build projects together.

In 2021, we were awarded the Freedom of the Borough Award by Hackney Council for our efforts to support residents during COVID, which included mobilising over 2000 volunteers to deliver food, prescriptions and essential items, provide emotional support to isolated residents and support the vaccine rollout. 

We work with hundreds of diverse community organisations and deliver various programmes to help residents share their skills and deliver their own social action projects to improve people’s lives. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in creating compelling proposals, stewardship materials, and engaging with diverse stakeholders across various channels.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent organisational skills, attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of fundraising principles and donor research techniques.
• Proficient in CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to maintain accurate records and handle donor data responsibly and efficiently.
