Key Tasks and Responsibilities 

 

1. Client Support 

●Carry out initial assessment of client needs to identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating. 

●Provide casework level advice on welfare benefits, housing and financial issues as appropriate.

●Facilitate access, signpost and accompany clients to services or activities, in particular those with limited English.

Person Specification 

The post holder should have a very good command of Portuguese and English, spoken and written, be committed to making a positive difference to people’s lives, have relevant experience in working with families and individuals with a range of needs, and knowledge of domestic abuse and the needs of those who experience it.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a collaboration partnership project between TCC, Wrexham Citizens Advice, and Wrexham Foodbank. This project will work to reduce poverty and the impact of poverty on people living in Wrexham.

The project coordinator role will be supported by management from the three partnership organisations.

The project coordinator will be responsible for the management and coordination of the project including budgeting, planning and implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. They will coordinate the project partners and wider stakeholders to support an influencing campaign in Wrexham funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation England and Wales.

Key Tasks Include:

• Raising awareness of the problem of poverty and its structural causes amongst those living and working in the county
• Making local elected officials, policy makers, and local organisations aware of the drivers of poverty and encourage them to take steps to alleviate these drivers
• Running community workshops, training, and other engaging activities to partner with people, including those with lived experience of turning to poverty support organisations (such as a food bank)
• Think strategically about how best to bring about change locally, working with a range of stakeholders, and enabling local people to engage with local policy makers
• Collaborative working – bringing the partner organisations together in a strategic and creative way
• Coordinating the setting of agreed project milestones with partners and track progress
• Being the main point of contact for all partners
• Coordinating partnership meetings (confirming chair, finding meeting venue, sending invites, setting meeting  agendas, and distributing notes)
• Preparing presentations and reports with input from all partners
• Coordinating and implementing monitoring and evaluation of the project
• Being the main point of contact for funder
• Managing project budgets and finances alongside the project finance lead
• Ensuring people with lived experience and grassroots organisations can input meaningfully

Terms and Conditions:

• The project coordinator will be employed by TCC (Trefnu Cymunedol Cymru/ Together Creating Communities).
• Annual leave starting at 23 days holiday per annum pro-rata (plus statutory bank holidays pro-rata),  increasing 1 day per year of service up to a maximum of 30 days pro rata

The Achieving Potential programme at SHP supports SHP clients with options and opportunities to build their confidence, learn new skills and try new things. We are recruiting to an exciting new post within our team, having recently secured funding to take forward our digital inclusion offer.

People experiencing homelessness are often from the most socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds and are digitally excluded. As the Digital Inclusion Project Coordinator, your objectives will be to spearhead initiatives aimed at increasing digital inclusion within SHP’s diverse communities. This multifaceted role requires a blend of strategic planning, community engagement, technological proficiency, and environmental stewardship. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders from both withing SHP and externally to develop and implement sustainable solutions that bridge the digital divide and minimize the environmental impact of electronic waste.

• Demonstrated experience in community outreach, project management, and stakeholder engagement, preferably in the fields of digital inclusion, sustainability, or social justice.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with diverse audiences and communicate complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Training

• In conjunction with the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser, facilitate a safeguarding learning and development programme for the diocese aligned with the national church Learning and Development Framework, Church Safeguarding Standards, reflecting the specific safeguarding responsibilities of those in role.
• To administer all lay and clergy safeguarding training run by the Diocese in line with above, in approximately 80 sessions a year.  This includes: producing a deadlines document; administers the sessions on Zoom / Teams, posting courses on Eventbrite and operating as content manager for publicity on the Diocesan website.
• To administer bookings for training courses; copy course materials and respond to emails and queries on training matters, ensure compliance of work submission required before and after courses. 
• Log entry of all course participants onto a database to ensure each person has a personal safeguarding training record, and each parish has a safeguarding training profile.

General Administrative 

• Work with IT and Information and Data Manager position to produce reports for the Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser on safeguarding training issues and trends, and annual statistics represented in charts and graphs for inclusion in the annual safeguarding review. 
• Produce quarterly reports on training compliance for Archdeacons and the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel meetings. 
• Helping to organise and minute meetings when the safeguarding administrator is not available/on leave.
• Support the safeguarding team with other tasks and projects as identified by the Safeguarding Administrator or Diocesan Safeguarding Adviser.

Digital Champions are volunteers who inspire and motivate others to get online, while encouraging and supporting them to develop their digital skills and confidence. As the project continues to evolve, there will be an increased focus on Digital Champions placed in local health care settings across the borough. Digital Champions will operate at local community venues including Community Pharmacies, Phlebotomy clinics, and at community events, with a strong focus on NHS App promotion to Bexley residents. Key Duties:

• To be the first point of contact for the existing network of Digital Champions in the borough, and support organisations to recruit, onboard and manage new Digital Champions.

• To organise regular online and face-to-face meetings for Digital Champions.

About the role: 

As a Sport Coordinator, you'll be responsible for planning and delivering varied activity sessions for both adults and young people across different services, both internally and externally. You will work closely with the Sport Manager to effectively coordinate support from freelancers and volunteers. Your role will extend to broadening the accessibility of sports and exercise within SHP's services and among its residents, for both adults and the young people we support. Additionally, you'll play a key part in growing the programmes reach, forging partnerships with similar organisations and charities, while also advocating for the significance of physical activity within the homeless community. 

The approach taken with clients will be psychologically informed, incorporating an understanding of Personality disorder, complex trauma and addiction. About you

Are you an experienced event organiser looking for a new challenge?  Do you want to use your skills to make a real difference to the lives of myeloma patients?

We are looking for someone with event management expertise who has excellent communication and relationship building skills to join the team responsible for delivering our programme of events.  You’ll have good negotiation and presentation skills, a focus on detail and the ability to manage a variety of tasks often to tight deadlines. 

About the role

The Information Events Coordinator will deliver our information events programme consisting of face-to-face and online events hosted by the team and held throughout the UK, developing the strategy for the programme and implementing event activity with the aim to increase participation and attendance.

You’ll be responsible for the planning, co-ordination and delivery of the events, including marketing and promotion, as well as logistics and resourcing.  You’ll be required to attend several weekend events throughout the year so should be able to travel across the UK as needed.

Oldham Poverty Action Network Coordinator

The role

The post holder for this role will be responsible for co-ordinating the work of the Oldham Poverty Action Network and leading on bringing the Network members together, leading on the co-ordination of the key projects and programmes that tackle the root causes of Poverty in Oldham, ensuring that local people, community organisations and institutions can collaborate through the Network to achieve the Network’s shared vision. You will work closely with Oldham Local Motion who is a key funder of the Oldham Poverty Action Network.

The main things you will be asked to do in this role:

· To provide effective coordination of the work of Oldham Poverty Action Network and it’s associated programmes of work.

· To facilitate the Network’s meetings, creating the space for inclusive innovation through workshops and workstream meetings.

· To work alongside Network members to plan and deliver projects and programmes to tackle the root causes of poverty in Oldham.

· To engage stakeholders in the work of the Network and to ensure that the membership of the network is open and inclusive and reflects Oldham’s communities.

· To ensure that the work of Oldham Poverty Action Network is delivered in line with the aims and values set out by the Network and Local Motion and strives for excellence in coproduction and collaborative practice, including continuing to be driven by those with Lived Experience of Poverty.

· To actively connect with people, communities organisations and institutions in order to maximise the reach and impact of the Network.

· To ensure that the Oldham Poverty Action Network resources are spent in accordance with funding  agreements, the budget and that all reporting, due diligence and learning requirements are met.

· To ensure the Network communicates it work effectively and we are able to share learning and impact with key stakeholders.

Context and Responsibilities within this role:

Cook for Good is about to move into their third year of operating. They have grown quickly from a start up to a high profile social enterprise. Initially most of their corporate sales and partnership revenue was generated organically, driven by their founders' networks. In this role you will work closely with C4G's Corporate Partnership Manager and Events Director to support all in-bound sales enquiries for their corporate team building events and convert to bookings.

* You will support the business development team in dealing with enquiries from leads they generate as well as liaising with existing clients.
* You will also support the Events team to co-ordinate the booking of events and liaising with corporate clients in both the lead in and follow up to an event.
* Organise and occasionally host show rounds for prospective clients.
* Occasional research to identify new prospects and circulate sales information where required to support Corporate Partnership Manager and Marketing Manager
* Ad hoc support on social media updates (LinkedIn and Instagram) to promote Cook for Good through client and wider networks

This position is primarily home-based, with regular travel across Greater London as required.
