Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver a structured programme of enjoyable, recreational, high-quality activities to meet the needs of children and young people with additional needs and disabilities who attend Short Breaks clubs.
• To coordinate and take responsibility for the planning, allocation of places, and sufficient staffing to ensure safe delivery of Short Breaks clubs.
• To assist in the recruitment, training and ongoing development of the Disability staff team.
• Leadership and Line Management of a team of Play/Youth Workers and volunteers.
• Have responsibility for processing new referrals, initial assessments, individual care plans and any associated risk assessments or specialist plans to ensure we meet individual needs.
• To be the lead practitioner providing the staff team with advice, coaching and on-site management of club structure.
• To develop strategies and behavioural support plans for young people attending activities and access YMCA Disability Services.
• To be aware of Ofsted requirements and ensure Short Breaks clubs for children are compliant, with ongoing monitoring.
• Maintain and monitor agreed attendance levels and activity budget.
• To promote clubs and share stories via social media. Manage cohort numbers and waiting lists efficiently.  
• Lead in Administering medication, PEG feeds and undertaking movement and handling for children and young people with complex health needs. Undergo relevant training and transfer this knowledge onto the staff team.
• Work closely with individual children and young people and their families to identify a range of social, recreational and leisure activities to meet the needs of young people and children.
• Ensure that all young people are made to feel valued and enabled to develop and improve self-esteem, life skills, self-confidence and positive experiences
• To gain young people’s feedback, capturing their voice in shaping and evaluating future club sessions.
• Work closely as part of the delivery team, initiate programmed activities, alongside additional opportunities locally.
• To be responsible for the Health and Safety of children, young people and staff, above all, ensuring that Safeguarding Children and Safeguarding Adults at Risk policies are adhered to.
• Managing the venue, ensuring all risk assessments are completed in line with our policies to ensure the environment is safe, secure and suitable for staff, CYP and our service delivery.
• Provide information, guidance and advice for parent/carers about local services for young people and families.
• Attend and participate in relevant internal/external meetings and forums related to the CYP services activities.
• To provide operational Coordinator or Leader cover for other Disability Services or locations as required.

About the Role

• You will ensure the smooth running of all Board meetings and activities, through administrative support to the Board of Trustees and Corporate Services team. This will include attendance at all quarterly board meetings and some subcommittee meetings.

What You’ll Do
This role enables the DEC and our 15 member charities to effectively respond to humanitarian emergencies and provide timely, quality, community-focused assistance.

As an Accountability & Learning Officer, alongside your efforts to contribute to our learning and growth, you will shape our work to influence key policy agendas. You’ll be working across such areas as climate adaption, flexible funding for humanitarian action, and locally led humanitarian responses.

Overseeing our monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities, you will support the set-up of projects, build relationships, and co-ordinate activities in all our current operational theatres.

- Assessing humanitarian crises for DEC appeal eligibility

The role 

Sustrans is the UK’s leading active travel organisation, working to make it possible for people across society to walk, wheel and cycle.  We have a new strategy for the next five years, a key strand of which is to unlock active travel in new housing developments, and we are recruiting a Head of New Developments to lead this work.

This is a new position in which you will draw on your experience in the housing delivery sector to grow Sustrans’ contribution to the creation of new communities that have active mobility at their heart.  As well as leading our influencing work aimed at organisations in housing delivery, you will develop and promote an offer to partners, drawing on Sustrans’ existing infrastructure, behaviour change and advisory services.  You will connect with, inform and inspire professionals and decision makers involved in delivering new homes to adopt the actions required to increase active travel in their developments.  Through collaboration with our Commercial team and subject experts across Sustrans, you will develop a pipeline of funded work from public, private and third sector organisations, ultimately enabling more households to walk, wheel or cycle for their day-to-day journeys.

The role can be based in any Sustrans office and will involve frequent in-person meetings and site visits, particularly (but not exclusively) in the Midlands and South of England. 

About you 

You’ll have significant experience contributing to the delivery of new developments through work for or with organisations such as developers, housing providers, consultancies, local authorities or government.  We’re looking for applicants with a professional network in housing delivery, and significant experience securing new commissions from and/or influencing organisations involved in delivering new developments.  You’ll have a strong understanding of the development process, including the spatial planning system, and of the roles of the parties involved in delivering new developments, the power dynamics between them, and the opportunities and appetite each has for taking action to increase active travel.  Naturally, you’ll have deep knowledge of the challenges, opportunities and hot topics in housing delivery – for new towns, urban extensions and urban intensification schemes.

You’ll have exceptional external-facing leadership skills, and be a strategic, creative thinker, able to solve problems and convert new ideas into practical actions.  Your outstanding communication skills will enable you to engage with stakeholders at a senior level, including on contentious subjects and on high-profile projects.  You’ll have strong business acumen to secure new commissions and deliver effectively for clients, and the skills to influence decision-makers.

You’ll have experience of engaging meaningfully with communities to ensure that new developments respond to the challenges and aspirations of local residents and stakeholders.  And you’ll have good knowledge of how active travel can be embedded into new developments to maximise the number of routine journeys that are walked, wheeled or cycled.

The role will assist in providing a quality service to clients through face to face, telephone and digital gateway assessment by supplying accurate, personalised, relevant information and guidance. You must have:

• Recent experience of undertaking the role of Gateway Assessor or of providing information, advice and guidance to the public either through face to face, telephone and emails including experience of exploring clients’ problems and identifying appropriate next steps.

LTSB has ambitious plans to grow our income over the next few years. You will be joining our fantastic Fundraising team, which currently has three members of staff who work with trusts, foundations, institutions, companies and individuals to ensure the charity has the funds and key relationships necessary to achieve our aims.

This brand new role will support with developing and growing the number of trusts, foundations and institutions we are working with.

Income from trusts, foundations and statutory sources is an important income stream at LTSB, and you will work closely with the Fundraising Manager to develop and execute a strategy in order to grow and retain some of our existing funders, as well as bring new ones on board through effective research and prospecting.

This role would suit someone who has some experience of trust fundraising but is looking for the next step, therefore you must have experience of grant writing (five figure bids). You will have competent writing skills and experience of building and maintaining strong relationships and searching for new ones, whether online or in person. You will be enthusiastic, driven and creative with a can-do attitude. This role will have periods of high intensity. Being able to manage the highs and lows of trust and foundations fundraising is key.

As we all work remotely, you will also need to be a self-starter and be able to work independently. We would expect a thorough understanding and commitment to LTSB’s vision, mission, and work.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead in Administering medication, PEG feeds and undertaking movement and handling for children and young people with complex health needs. Undergo relevant training and transfer this knowledge onto the staff team.
• Work closely with individual children and young people and their families to identify a range of social, recreational and leisure activities to meet the needs of young people and children.
• Ensure that all young people are made to feel valued and enabled to develop and improve self-esteem, life skills, self-confidence and positive experiences
• To gain young people’s feedback, capturing their voice in shaping and evaluating future club sessions.
• Work closely as part of the delivery team, initiate programmed activities, alongside additional opportunities locally.

We have a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join the Connexional Team.

We are offering an interesting and varied opportunity to support the work of the Connexional Team and the wider Methodist Church. 

We are looking for someone who will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the core operational IT infrastructure, underpinning all services both internally and externally in a responsive and customer focussed manner.

You will advise members of the team on matters related to IT and resolve second and third-line tickets in line with the service level agreement. Assist with the maintenance, continuous improvement and administration of the team’s growing IT infrastructure. Deploy and maintain laptop, desktop and tablet security to ensure that IT service users can enjoy a safe and secure IT environment. Perform proactive maintenance of the infrastructure environment as required. Work to tight deadlines and provide high levels of technical support and compliance. 

Working alongside colleagues within the Infrastructure team, you will provide support services to approximately 250 local and remote users within the organisation.

About You

• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms and software, including but not limited to: Windows Server, Active Directory, Windows 11, Backup, Monitoring/SNMP, SMTP/Exchange, Web Server/IIS, Dell Servers and storage, Printers/Papercut,
