About the Role

The CEO will provide leadership to Embracing Age and to be responsible for the management and administration of the charity, in partnership with and reporting to the trustees. You'll lead, inspire and motivate staff and volunteers, whilst upholding and developing the Christian ethos, vision, mission and values of Embracing Age, along with the strategic objectives and priorities.

You'll also need a good working knowledge of Housing Law as it applies to tenancies.

Other key requirements include:

About the role:

Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role. 

As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.

Collaboration will be key to your approach, and you’ll be detail orientated and be great at managing your time and priorities, and working to consistently high standards. You’ll plan, co-ordinate and support the successful delivery of all our online and in-person events, including being available and involved as needed on site.

We are looking for a Fundraising Officer to lead the administration of CCT’s tiered membership programmes, annual and church-based appeals, legacies, and fundraising events. The Fundraising Officer will also support in the creation of marketing materials to support these initiatives.

Following the growth in audience development through online events and digital activity, CCT welcomed younger and international members and increased the number of donations. We have since witnessed decreased retention rates and are looking to implement methods to increase member and donor acquisition and retention.

• Create strategic relationships, collaborative partnerships outside the charity and act as an ambassador and advocate for Blue Light Card Foundation

• Ensure full and accurate reporting including the preparation of an annual report and financial statements to the Charity Commission

In this role, you will support the development and implementation of Picker's policy influencing strategy to make person centred health and social care a reality for everyone. You will be responsible for monitoring policy and political developments, promoting evidence-based policies to advanced person centred care and building and maintaining relationships within the health policy world. You will leave on the development of policy outputs including briefings, position statements and white papers, working with colleagues to build evidence and articulate Picker's messages.

This role

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain a good understanding of key health and social care policy and political developments
• Lead on or assist with a range of high-profile policy projects, including the planning and development of projects, and contributing to analysis, writing and publication.
• Identifying opportunities to contribute to public policy debates in health and social care, using evidence from Picker’s work and from the public domain to provide insightful thought leadership.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support policy analysis, responsive policy work, and to enhance Picker’s external profile across various audiences.
• Lead on and assist with written outputs, such as topic-specific briefing papers, website copy, presentations and blog posts to communicate the findings of our work.
• Carry out literature reviews and rapid scans of data and evidence to scope public policy positions on a range of key issues.
• Present evidence and findings (both in writing and orally) about highly complex and sometimes contentious subjects to a wide range of audiences, ensuring an understanding of the subject and issues arising and enabling informed decision making
• Support the drafting of responses to consultations, policy briefings, and other public policy initiatives, including relevant third party publications.
• Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, partners, and collaborators relevant to our policy portfolio, including academic and health and social care policy communities.
• Work collaboratively with other teams, creating strong links between other programmes and projects, to promote the use of services, products and survey findings that improve the quality of healthcare.

About You

You will have:

Administration Officer – England Central

We are recruiting an Administration Officer to provide an effective and comprehensive range of administrative support to workstreams/projects, which will enable the charity to fulfil its function across Central England to a high-quality standard.

What you will do:

Coordinate training bookings, using the diary system, email and databases to ensure training is organised, allocated and delivered.

Create resource pack for colleagues delivering training courses and workshops.

Help to facilitate training delivery nationally, responding to email and telephone enquiries, ensuring preparation, materials, resources, venues, for all events are in place when required.

Help to plan, contribute to and attend PAPYRUS conferences, workshops and events as required.

Collate evaluations and feedback from training and project work.

Record all enquiries and contacts using the CRM database and ensure that the database is maintained and accurate at all times.

Assist with managing the office diary, arranging and organising meetings/bookings as required.

Administer petty cash as required in line with financial processes.

Respond to orders and other requests for information, from stakeholders, by phone, mail and email, according to policy and keep accurate and up to date records.

Undertake general clerical and administrative tasks to support the service as required (e.g., posting items, photocopying, scanning).

To be successful in this role you will have:

Demonstrable experience in an office administrator role or equivalent

A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and hands on IT experience of database packages including electronic filing systems and online platforms.
