About the role

This is a key role within a values driven People team, providing expert advice and coaching on employee relations to managers and leaders across the organisation. Job Purpose

• To ensure that the voice of Older People is heard by decision makers across East London and help them to shape areas of public policy affecting older people at a local level.

• Ensure that AUKEL is accountable to older People in the design and delivery of our Strategy and Services
• To co-design and co-produce with older people user involvement projects in Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets.

Key Tasks

• To increase OPRG membership and strengthen participation by developing relationships, partnerships and trust with local VCSF groups.
• To support Older People to engage in opportunities to lead, shape services, promote their interests and participate in external forums, events, focus groups, research and surveys etc.

About this key role

About the opportunity

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you'll work alongside senior leaders across Alzheimer's Society, turning complex financial information into clear insights that support more informed decision-making.

In a role where every pound matters in the fight against dementia, you'll ensure our resources are directed where they can make the greatest difference. Whether that's funding groundbreaking research, delivering vital support services, or campaigning for systemic change.You'll build meaningful relationships, develop budget holders' capabilities, and offer challenge and support to help colleagues navigate financial complexity with clarity and purpose, empowering them to make decisions that maximise our impact for the 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK and their families.

You'll be part of our Finance & Assurance directorate, where our vision is to be the Society's single point of truth. Working within the Financial Partnering, Planning & Analysis function, you'll connect Finance with the wider organisation, translating strategic plans into sound financial frameworks that enable our mission rather than holding it back.

This is also a people leadership role. You'll develop and manage a team of Finance Business Partners, creating an agile, high-performing culture where accountability and support go hand in hand. Together, you'll role-model best practice, share knowledge freely, and flex your resources to meet the changing needs of the Society throughout the year.

About you:

You're an experienced accountant with a track record of financial partnering at senior levels. You understand that excellent business partnering combines accurate numbers with storytelling, influencing, and helping others see the bigger picture. You're comfortable working across boundaries, challenging assumptions constructively, and coaching colleagues to strengthen their own financial knowledge.

You'll have:

- CCAB qualification through education or demonstrable knowledge.
- Significant experience strengthening financial capability across large or complex organisations, including developing training and coaching programmes.
- A proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams, with strong focus on development and performance management.
- Expert knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting processes and tools.
- Substantial experience working with finance systems, particularly ERP systems (we use Unit4).
- Experience driving quality improvement through data-driven metrics and reporting.
- A track record of challenging assumptions and holding others accountable for their financial responsibilities.

What you'll focus on:

- Partnering with senior leaders across the Society to provide insights and recommendations that support effective, informed decision-making.
- Strengthening financial knowledge and confidence with budget holders through coaching, training programmes and partnership-based support.
- Leading and developing a high-performing team of Finance Business Partners, building a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Working collaboratively across the Finance team to design intuitive reports and analysis that meet the needs of colleagues across the Society.
- Building strong relationships with senior leaders to understand their strategic objectives, anticipate challenges and identify cost optimisation opportunities.
- Using storytelling and creative approaches alongside data-driven analysis to communicate key financial messages effectively.

TAG Youth Club, an award-winning charity and a youth club open to children, young people and young adults, whatever their disability. We work hard to accommodate anyone who wants to join and particularly those who have restricted opportunities elsewhere.  We respond to the needs of the communities we serve and cater for those between the ages of 8 – 25 years. 

TAG started almost 25 years ago, as a group of parents who got together to create an inclusive space for their disabled young people to socialise.  From those humble beginnings TAG has now grown to over 250 members and supports over 750 family members.The club now makes many activities available to young disabled people that would not ordinarily be available to them (such as climbing, skiing, archery, parkour, scootering and skateboarding). Our activities provide members with opportunities to meet new people, make friends, learn social and life skills, and to thrive and grow in confidence and independence.

This exciting new part time role has been created to support the CEO and Head of Operations, providing administrative support in a wide variety of areas including finance, fundraising, office systems and management, premises, promotion, marketing and communications. 

Financial administration includes input and reconciliation of all financial data and ensures efficient reporting, analysis and measurement of data and financial information against set timescales, targets and objectives. H/she will support annual budget preparation and will contribute to the Annual Report.

H/she will track funding opportunities, deadlines and bid submissions and will draft/edit grant applications.  They will maintain the funding database and track Award deadlines and write Award entries.

Office and systems management will include efficient record keeping and databases, maintain IT equipment and oversee insurance and service contracts.  They will also maintain TAG's website and social media platforms and support/represent TAG at external events.  They wil manage DBS documentation, insurance policies and membership subscriptions.

HR Business Partner | Interim | 6 months + | Birmingham | £400 - £430 per day (Umbrella)

For Europe's largest infrastructure project, we're recruiting two Interim HR Business Partners for at least 6 months. Both roles will support Heads of HR across various directorates to support with organisational HR strategy and consultation on change programmes and will analyse HR data and MI to advise and enable colleagues and line managers on employee management, HR policy, HR process and complex employee cases.

Main Duties:

• Support Heads of HR to deliver Directorate people related priorities and develop and implement initiatives at manager level to drive improvements
• Support HR priorities including focusing on sickness absence management, attrition, and performance management
• Support and implement objective setting, performance management, end of year reviews, talent reviews, and support with engagement survey action plans
• Support OD processes at the design stage, implementing outputs with impacted colleagues, ensuring a legally compliant consultation process is followed.
• Complete monthly reporting activity, assessing data from HRMI, Resourcing and ER.
• Identify trends and share insights to support people-related decision-making
• Advise line managers on reward processes, including Temporary Responsibility Allowances, Managed Moves and process any resulting paperwork required.
• Provide support to HR leadership on the delivery of broader ER related priorities.
• Provide input and support to the development of people related policies, training and processes.

Person Specification:

• CIPD level 5 or above, with strong experience of working within a complex, changing matrix managed organisation
• Ideally experience from regulated environments, public sector, or the NHS
• Significant experience with change programmes
• Experience with employee relations (ER) processes including sickness absence, disciplinary, and performance issues
• Strong knowledge and understanding of employment law
• Proactive, confident and collaborative
