The StreetLink London service, is a team of x7 Assessment workers, a Coordinator, a Service Manager and a pool of dedicated volunteers. The service is funded by the GLA, Bloomberg and London Councils, and is service which offers support directly to people at risk of or rough sleeping in London. The service provides targeted telephone advice, advocacy and support to help prevent and resolve people’s rough sleeping. The service does so by finding solutions to connect people to vital services that can help resolve their homelessness.

The role of Service Manager will be to oversee the delivery and development of StreetLink London. In this role, you will oversee the day to day management of the London Support phoneline. You will be responsible for building the team and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to help develop and improve the StreetLink London Service.

About you 

We are looking for someone with experience of leading a service delivery team; delivering best practice and high-quality support or advice services to vulnerable clients as well as an understanding of the issues faced by homeless or vulnerable people. Above all, we are looking for a motivated leader, who will be dedicated to the successful development and delivery of this essential service.

• You will build on the excellent foundations laid by the outgoing Community Fundraiser to raise our profile amongst our neighbours and with local organisations

• You will offer high-quality relationship management and donor care to supporters including providing fundraising materials, encouragement and support to maximise their fundraising potential, as well as ensuring donors are recognised and thanked for their contribution 
• You will develop and deliver fundraising operational plans, ensure good fundraising practice and messaging is embedded throughout the entire organisation.

Location: Central London. We offer flexible and hybrid working but office-based work will be essential on a regular basis.

Salary: £43,000 per annum

Main purpose of role: To manage the day-to-day running of our grant programmes to organisations and support the practical implementation of any new grant programmes from application process through to due diligence and record maintenance.

Main duties and responsibilities:  

Grant management 

• Act as the first point of contact for grants to organisations.
• Manage a portfolio of organisational grants that deliver our theory of change outcomes.
• Provide full grant management of our organisational grants, including: preparing grant deeds, keeping track of payments and reporting requirements, distilling learning, to grant renewal considerations.
• Organise and conduct regular meetings with funded organisations to learn alongside organisations and see the work in action.
• Implement grant making processes that reflect best practice and encourage learning through our grant making. 
• Keep up-to-date with changes and developments in the external environment and work with colleagues to reflect this in strategy and practice.

Grant programme development 

• Undertaking scoping and research for new grant programmes, and developing practical knowledge about new programme areas as required.
• Providing project management support for new grant programmes alongside the Senior Grants Manager.
• Taking a lead on the negotiation of new grant agreements.
• Managing the day-to-day processes required by any new grant programme from concept through to advertising the fund, assessing grant applications, due diligence, writing recommendation papers to trustees, to awarding funding and gathering and sharing learning.

Other activities  

• Working with the Impact team to develop our monitoring and evaluation capabilities with funded organisations.
• Working with the Partnerships and Participation Manager and Policy and Best Practice Manager to ensure that our grant making processes are informed by the key stakeholders. 
• Working with our fundraising and communication team to ensure we are communicating effectively with supporters about our work.

As a Sewing for Wellbeing Tutor, you will be creating, planning, and delivering fun, exciting workshops, courses, and projects, and inspiring our adult members in engaging and inclusive ways. If you are a compassionate, creative, collaborative sewing or textiles tutor artist who is just waiting to share your amazing range of sewing techniques and skills with our members, and confident in teaching machine and hand sewing skills, we would love to hear from you!

• Understanding of the needs, issues and sensitivities of supporting people facing homelessness and other forms of social exclusion and develop practical solutions to address them. 

• Understanding of psychologically informed approaches when working with people who have experienced complex trauma from marginalised backgrounds.  

• Experience of delivering sewing sessions, workshops, and creative projects with personalised outcomes to support people to gain new skills and self-confidence.

• Knowledge of and skills in of a wide variety of sewing skills and techniques, including hand and machine sewing; and for example, surface decoration, item personalisation; embroidery, patchwork, embellishments; recycling old fabrics into something new; repairing and mending; clothes making; homeware etc, to help people learn, progress and improve their wellbeing. 

• · A teaching qualification or be able to demonstrate delivering in a community-based setting. 

• You may have experience in; Art therapy; Safeguarding; Mental health first aid; Community arts practice.

What the job involves

As Communications Planning Manager you’ll be reviewing all incoming internal communications briefs, ensuring they have clear objectives, audiences, and timelines, and are aligned to organisational priorities and goals. You’ll be responsible for leading as well as updating, when necessary, our briefing and communications team process.

You’ll be responsible for workflows across the communications directorate, having oversight of capacity, prioritising and scheduling work accordingly. You’ll support annual business and resource planning; helping the organisation prioritise and understand the potential impact vs effort in business decisions.

To ensure our teams can work at their optimum we’re currently updating our approach to communications processes, including updating our project management tools, prioritisation structure and our wider programme management office.

What we want from you

To be successful in the role you’ll need to have exceptional organisational skills and be a strategic thinker who thrives on implementing and driving new processes to deliver efficiency.

You’ll have demonstrable experience with stakeholder and relationship management – building rapport at all levels, managing conflicting priorities and ensuring effective use of resources. In reviewing briefs you’ll be comfortable in challenging the details provided and developing briefs with product owners to ensure resources are being used effectively.

A background in marketing communications or similar would be ideal for understanding the needs from the start in developing effective campaigns. Experience in using workflow tools (like Trello) or Agile methodologies will be desirable but not essential.

What the job involves

We're looking for a Workplace Health and Safety Manager to join our vibrant charity. This is a diverse and interesting role. You’ll play a key role in the safe and smooth running of our office, compliance, health and safety as well as facilities administration. Coin Street Family and Children’s Centre have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic Early Years & Family Educator to join our Early Years team. 

The purpose of the role is to deliver stimulating and engaging play sessions, building relationships with parents/carers, and monitoring the progress of children, carrying out 1-2-1 work with families experiencing a range of difficulties. We are looking for someone to join Coram’s ambitious and growing Impact and Evaluation team as a Research and Evaluation Officer. In this role you will use your research and evaluation skills to help improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people.

Coram is the UK’s first and longest continuing children’s charity helping vulnerable children and young people since 1739. Today, Coram is a group of specialist organisations that help more than one million children, young people, families and professionals every year.

Coram’s Impact and Evaluation team is seeking an experienced researcher or evaluator to work within our team to deliver research and evaluation projects.We welcome applications from mixed-methods, quantitative and qualitative researchers who have knowledge of a range of research methods and evaluation approaches, including those with skills in participatory research. You will need experience of leading or supporting research or evaluation projects as well as being motivated, supportive, well-organised and willing to learn.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who already has applied research or evaluation experience. We want to recruit someone to our team who has a passion for using their skills to develop high-quality evidence on a range of projects that improve policy and practice for vulnerable children, young people and their families.

Additionally, you will manage and grow the charity’s press and media engagement.

Summary of role responsibilities 

• Develop, implement and manage a dynamic communications plan for Solving Kids’ Cancer UK that encompasses the three key pillars of our work, across all communication channels;  

• Lead on the development and implementation of online marketing campaigns to raise wider awareness, demonstrate our impact, grow our income, and position our organisation as a thought leader in paediatric oncology;  

• Develop and grow our charity’s’ media presence and profile;  

• Raise the charity’s profile and reach through the generation of new online and offline audiences, followers and supporters.
