Alongside crisis management and reporting, the role also involves caretaking and housing management duties such as flat checks, health and safety monitoring, CCTV supervision, emergency alarm checks, nightly cleaning tasks, and regular building patrols to maintain a safe and supportive environment.

This role requires demonstrable experience in supporting people with mental health and complex needs, ideally including those with substance misuse issues, alongside a strong understanding of recovery approaches, co-production, and the wider legislation relevant to mental health crises such as welfare reform, the Care Act, and housing pathways. The candidate must be able to engage service users in assessments, co-produce and review support and safety plans, and deliver activities that reduce anxiety, build confidence and self-esteem, and promote a self-defined recovery journey. They should be motivated to maintain high standards in often unpredictable or challenging circumstances, have strong IT skills including MS Office and case management systems, and possess knowledge of building safety and basic repair issues. Flexibility is essential, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, alongside the capability to handle and record financial transactions accurately, all supported by excellent spoken and written communication skills.

What is the overall purpose of the role?

We are looking to appoint a Support Youth Worker to help develop and deliver an innovative and progressive youth programme for our Girls Project, in a safe industrious and supportive environment working primarily with young girls from diverse communities.

The Girls only group (targeting ages 11-19 years) will promote life skills, well-being and female empowerment. Helping girls move forward through the next stage of their lives to become the women who will shape their community in the future. The Girls group will support, provide advice, mentoring and signposting to additional support services.

Responsibilities:

• Support with the research, planning and delivery of an innovative and progressive programme of youth activities in collaboration with young people and the lead worker.
• Carry out financial and administrative procedures related to the Girls Project.

• Record all attendances (registers) for all sessions and populate data required for reporting purposes in a timely manner.

Play a strategic and leading role in the development and delivery of support programmes across Big Issue Changing Live CIC.

Big Issue Changing Lives CIC is looking for a Director for Programmes and Partnerships to lead the development and delivery of national programmes of support across Big Issue Recruit and Street Sales, test new ways of working and develop key partnerships to improve outcomes for people experiencing poverty across the UK.

You will also identify fundraising priorities, build national strategic partnerships, deliver a volunteer programme to improve engagement across local communities and lead on safeguarding across the CIC.

As an individual you will have experience of delivering services to achieve agreed targets, and of generating income to develop and grow these services, have excellent networking skills, possess a good understanding of third-party organizations relating to homelessness, universal credit, mental health, substance abuse and employment, and knowledge of poverty and homelessness issues and the difficulties vulnerably housed people face.

About the role:

The NSE leads the Church of England's national work in education in partnership with 41 Diocesan Boards of Education and approximately 4,700 Church of England schools. We also support the national education work of the Church in Wales, which includes around 150 schools. The purpose of this role is to provide strategic oversight for the engagement, sustainability and impact of a range of national leadership development programmes and experiences for young leaders (4-18) and young adults (18-25) including the Archbishops' Young Leaders Award, the Flourishing Young Leaders programme, the Christian Young Leaders pathway and Young Voices at General Synod. To lead a curriculum development and delivery team across these programmes to ensure that children and young people are placed instinctively at the heart of the mission of the church, and that developing flourishing young people is at the heart of the mission of schools, school trusts and dioceses.

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a charity and membership society that has been dedicated to improving tropical medicine and global health since 1907.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join us as Team and Office Assistant, effectively supporting the small but busy RSTMH Team by providing proactive and comprehensive support across our key areas of work.

The role will require someone who preferably has some experience of providing support and administration to a busy team (preferably within the charity/not-for-profit sector), who is flexible, has excellent time management skills and is able work on own initiative. The successful candidate will be working across various RSTMH activities, including membership, journals, events, Early Career Grants, and communications; therefore, they will need to be efficient and organised, with strong computer skills and a professional outlook.

The Role:

• To develop and maintain effective working relationships across RSTMH
• To ensure that all general, email, telephone and written enquiries are dealt with efficiently and promptly
• To support with the management of the RSTMH office and office processes
• To undertake electronic and paper filing, and maintain filing systems appropriately
• To support with team planning, scheduling and social events and activities 
• To assist with the management and promotion of the RSTMH meeting room
• To support with financial administration
• To support the planning of RSTMH events, including handling delegate registration enquiries via telephone and email, collating event packs and materials, and conducting desk research on the cost and availability of venues and caterers.
• To attend RSTMH events, assisting with Zoom support on online events, and assisting as necessary at in person events.
• To assist with the administration associated with the RSTMH Early Career Grants programme, which includes analysing key data and helping produce reports for the team, our Committees and donors.
• Taking a role in the processes to select grant awardees including helping perform due diligence on the potential awardees
• To support the Communications Manager in scheduling and sourcing content for social media
• To support on the website by uploading and editing content through the CMS
• To help create and send the fortnightly member newsletter and the monthly non-member newsletter
• To support the Communications Manager in creating content to be shared across RSTMH communications channels
• To assist with communications planning
• To be responsible for the general administration and upkeep of RSTMH’s online opportunities platform, grow
• To support with strategies to increase members of RSTMH
• To assist with enquiries from current and prospective members in a professional, timely manner, and to agreed service targets.

• To provide support to the managing editor for Journal-related tasks

Essential Technical Skills:

• Experience of being responsible for initiating, planning, and developing own areas of work
