The Role
The Finance department provides the complete finance function which includes payroll to the whole organisation overseeing all the 165 services across England and the Isle of Man, addressing all issues and processing payments to meet the demands of staff and external agencies.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the efficient running of the income and credit control functions, whilst ensuring information is accurately processed in a timely manner and made available to users. You will be a confident communicator and comfortable working in a small team environment where priorities can change at short notice.
Main Responsibilities:
- To raise sales invoices and, capture and recognise all non-invoiced income in the relevant period.
- Carry out account reconciliations relating to Credit Control in the balance sheet and income accounts including analysis of aged debtors.
- To maintain debtors’ database, deal with queries and to undertake the reconciliation of debtors’ accounts.
- To be responsible for the accuracy of postings to the nominal ledger within given deadlines.
- To ensure payments of invoices and all other fees/income are received within the stated period.
- To maintain, and reconcile, the organisations bank accounts,
- Assisting with the preparation of quarterly and year-to-date returns and monitoring forms to funders, and the annual external audit.
- To organise workload to ensure monthly reporting deadlines are met.
- To maintain good communication between project managers and the management accounts team.
- To ensure that queries are prioritized and responded to within a reasonable timescale.
- Carry out ad-hoc projects and analysis as required.
- To maintain filing and other information storage systems to ensure that up to date information is readily available when required on management accounts.
- To adhere to other policies and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
- A qualification in accounting/finance or significant experience working in a finance/accounting role.
- Experience using computerised accounting systems. Knowledge of Sun will be an advantage.
- A good understanding of accounting concepts including their application.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to think creatively and decisively to solve problems.
- Demonstrable ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively, both internally within and across teams, and with external partners.
- A high level of proficiency using Microsoft Office, in particular use of Excel to manipulate data.
- Experience of generating management information reports
- Experience in preparing balance sheet reconciliations, including experience on month-end closure.

About the role

Role Overview
Glitch is looking for an Advocacy and Communications Manager to help support the charity's work — ensuring technology does not further or replicate discrimination towards Black women and gender-expansive people. This position offers the opportunity to lead on UK tech policy developing and promoting our Black feminist approach to key UK legislation through advocacy and communications to relevant audiences and stakeholders.
Specifically, you will lead on our tech-facilitated gender-based violence issue area, working on the Online Safety Act and engaging with relevant government ministers and parliamentarians, as well as our online violence against women coalition partners, and the Online Safety Act Network. Ideal Candidate

Sense International are currently recruiting for a Senior Trusts and Fundraising Manager to join their Fundraising team. This 10 month fixed term opportunity will work on hybrid basis from our office in King's Cross, London, working 37.5 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities and Duties include:
· Invasive species control: Carrying out targeted and strategic grey squirrel control in agreed areas according to the SSRS project’s Standard Operating Procedures, as well as training new volunteers.
· Surveying and Monitoring: develop and coordinate a network of Rapid Response monitoring, including recruiting, training, and supporting of a network of volunteers, and species identification through collected squirrel hair samples.
· Reporting: collecting and maintaining high-quality, accurate monitoring and trapping records.
· Public engagement: in support with the team help raise the profile of project objectives to volunteers, landowners and external partners in relevant grey
squirrel monitoring and detection methods to increase the long-term sustainability and resilience for supported monitoring and control efforts.
The successful candidate will:
· Possess an SVQ/NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Game and Wildlife Management or related discipline or relevant experience of game keeping, invasive/non-native mammal control or pest control.
· Ideally have a good understanding of conservation principles, practices and legislation as well as the ability to keep and maintain accurate records in Word and Excel.
· Have previous relevant professional or volunteering experience, together with experience working with landowners, gamekeepers, foresters and the public. A knowledge of forest and native tree species and familiarity with the East Angus area would be advantageous.

SUMMARY OF ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications, the Senior Strategic Communications Manager is a pivotal new senior role within the team. You will lead the planning, coordination and strategic oversight of RABI’s national communications, campaign planning, media relations and content production, working with the Senior Digital Communications Manager to develop and deliver a bold new internal and external communications strategy for RABI.

Reporting to the Events & Engagement Manager, you’ll help coordinate the charity’s presence at a wide range of events -including agricultural shows, external affairs engagements, conferences and community activities, ensuring a consistently professional and compelling presence across England and Wales. You will play a key part in engaging with supporters, volunteers, ambassadors and the public, representing RABI with warmth and professionalism.
The role will also help collate and provide valuable marketing and content support, including supporting the capturing of photography and video for use on digital channels, assisting with the development of volunteer and ambassador case studies, and supporting CRM data collection and engagement surveys. This is an exciting, hands-on, outward-facing role suited to an organised, creative and personable team player.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Coordination and Delivery
- Assist with the organisation and delivery of national and regional events including agricultural shows, external affairs events, volunteer engagement activities and community outreach initiatives.
- Support event logistics such as venue booking, catering, AV, signage, promotional materials, staffing, travel, and health and safety compliance.
- Coordinate post-event evaluation, collecting feedback, attendance data, and impact measures to inform future planning.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive events calendar.
Marketing and Promotional Support
- Work with the MarComms team to coordinate event and show related content for social media, digital platforms and printed collateral.
- Ensure all events, shows and conferences are added to RABI’s website and online calendar.
- Assist with design and distribution of promotional materials, using templates in Canva and maintaining brand consistency.
- Help to prepare pre-event and post-event communications including invitations, newsletters and thank-you communications.
- Manage and maintain an up-to-date inventory of promotional stock and branded materials.
- Support the wider MarComms team on cross-department projects and campaigns.
Stakeholder, Volunteer and Ambassador Engagement
- Liaise with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure smooth event operations and representation.
- Coordinate volunteer and ambassador attendance at events and help ensure a positive experience.
- Provide on-site support at key events, acting as a friendly and informed ambassador for RABI.
Administrative and Reporting Duties
- Support the Events Manager with budget tracking and processing of invoices and expenses.
- Ensure accurate record keeping in the CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics).
- Support internal coordination meetings and help document action points and timelines.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Proven experience in event delivery, marketing or a related role.
- Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in managing social media platforms and scheduling tools.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels and be confident and professional in a public-facing role.
- A self-starter and team player, able to accept direction, yet work independently.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask under pressure.
- Eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, mission-led events.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office suite and online platforms such as Teams, Canva or similar.
- Willingness to travel across England and Wales and to occasionally work evenings and weekends.
Desirable
- Experience working in rural or agricultural settings, or an understanding of the farming sector.
- Welsh language proficiency (spoken and/or written) is desirable for this role, to support effective comms and engagement with Welsh-speaking stakeholders and communities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics).
- Basic design or social media experience using tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud.
- Full UK driving licence.

The responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant will include:
- Support the production of the GPA Annual Report and Accounts including provision of consolidation returns for Cabinet Office departmental accounts and Whole of Government Accounts
- Maintain and analyse accurate accounting records including preparation and monitoring of Statement of Financial Position reconciliations and accrual and other journals
- Monitor the effectiveness of key controls including those operated by outsourced service providers
- Prepare tax returns to deadlines including monthly VAT return and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns
- Support the delivery of internal and external audits including provision of fully supporting and signposted evidence, monitoring of requests and responding to auditors in a timely way
- Support continuous process efficiencies and improvements across the function
