Job description

Jigsaw Support is a CBS (Community Benefit Society).We work with communities, families and individuals across the North West of England, with offices and properties based in Manchester, Tameside, Oldham, Stockport, Leigh, Wigan and Lancaster.

Our projects and services are as diverse as the people we support and range from homelessness and housing advice, domestic abuse support, employment services to agency managed properties and more and includes our award winning Housing First programmes.

You will work as part of a team supporting women and children fleeing domestic abuse within a refuge setting. We work with women to improve their independence and resilience through a person led approach, offering holistic advice, signposting, and dedicated workers to help women resettle into the community and rebuild their lives.

The Pathway Worker role focuses on supporting women and their children to build links with their local community and to take part in meaningful activity, both through group work and individualised activity plans. This enables women to explore and utilise their strengths to build their confidence and to share their skills and experience to give something back.

You will have ability to communicate effectively and build strong professional relationships. You will work holistically, through a guided conversation you will explore the person’s strengths and networks, and through working with them to develop a personal plan you will encourage them to utilise their strengths to create positive change. You will be able to work independently, and prioritise your own workload.

This role is for waking night staff, you should have a creative approach to planning and delivering evening activities in the refuge. There is lone working within the role during the night.

You are entitled to a total of 25 days annual leave per year in addition to 8 public holidays per year pro rata. Your annual leave entitlement will increase by one day per completed year after the first completed year on 1st April to a maximum of 30 days per year, pro rata. occupational sick pay, flexible working, on-site gyms, access to the Social Housing Pension Scheme, Simply Health membership, enhanced maternity/paternity leave, childcare vouchers and  training/development opportunities.
