Our two-year programme is designed to equip women with the tools and confidence they need to thrive. The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Progression Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will work with a caseload of around 20 women, providing personalised, trauma-informed support throughout their two-year journey with us. This includes guidance across key areas such as employment, finances, relationships, housing, and overall wellbeing.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Provide individual support and build trusting relationships with our trainees, proactively arranging face to face and online support sessions, attending appointments with them and tracking their progression.
- Offer person-centred holistic support to trainees to become independent, using our ‘Independence Tracker’ and other assessment tools to assess their needs and set targets on a regular basis.
- Liaising with trainees and the training team to help 80% of graduates to complete a minimum of 80% of their vocational training.
- Support women to complete the mentoring programme by proactively liaising with the Partnerships & Evaluation manager.
- Support trainees to apply for employment opportunities and prepare for interviews to achieve positive work outcomes.
- Support trainees during the apprenticeship process in Luminary cafe or bakeries, and support them with attending work experience days both at Luminary and at other external partners.
- Liaise effectively with other agencies involved in the care of trainees to ensure their needs are sufficiently met. This includes attending meetings with external agencies and advocating on behalf or alongside women.
- Respond quickly to safeguarding concerns, reporting appropriately to the Luminary Safeguarding Officer and the local council as necessary, supporting the individual appropriately through the process.
- Keep detailed records of all case-working according to best practice and aid in safeguarding, monitoring and evaluation.
- Build relationships with local services relevant for signposting service users to, connecting women with opportunities in line with their support plan (eg specialist services, work experience, additional courses).
- Provide support to women in the Luminary training classroom during Phase 2 employment workshops to get the most out of the learning environment
- Deliver or facilitate group sessions including bi-weekly wellbeing workshops & support organising alumni events such as Christmas Party, Independence Party and Graduation.
- Champion Luminary’s holistic understanding of wellbeing, which recognises the spiritual needs of those recovering from trauma.
- Assist the Senior Leadership Team in evaluating the services Luminary offers to report to funders, assist with completing new funding applications and internal monitoring.
- Contribute your experience of best practice to shape the way Luminary operates effectively
- Support with any other tasks as needed by the PSW manager and to contribute towards team efforts for the effective working of Luminary
Job Requirements and Abilities
Necessary:
- At least two years of support work experience

- Relevant experience with client group - women affected by VAWG, experiencing multiple disadvantage
- Experience supporting an individual through safeguarding issues
- Person-centered approach to support that is trauma-informed and encourages ambition, empowerment and independence
- Personable and patient with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Organised with record keeping, time-keeping, and communication
- Hard working and able to pick up new tasks quickly learn new things quickly
- Experience setting professional boundaries and investing in own mental wellbeing whilst supporting others
- Able to work independently and initiate tasks as needed; while also being able to work collaboratively in a team

- Ensure every Emergency Department and Critical Care unit has a suitable bereavement suite
- Ensure that bereavement boxes are available at each of these hospitals
- Ensure that immediate bereavement support is available for all affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide a professional counselling service and other therapies for those affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support to individuals who witness the sudden death of a child or young person
- Provide support and training to professionals from any sector who may be affected by the sudden death of a child or young person
- To advocate and campaign on behalf of suddenly bereaved families
2wish Cymru and 2wish:
2wish has been established since 2012 and has since grown from strength to strength. During this time, we have worked tirelessly to embed our service and ensure that the offer of support is made at the point of death.
We offer an immediate, consistent, high-quality and compassionate service to all individuals affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We work in partnership with professionals who refer into the charity on behalf of families, so they don’t have to trawl through the internet for an organisation who may, or may not, be able to support. We provide immediate, and ongoing, support and are here for as long as our families need us.
We were founded as a Welsh organisation providing immediate casework support, as well as ongoing aftercare services including counselling, alternative therapies, play therapy, support groups, support events and a respite cottage. In January 2024, we expanded into ‘phase one’ England, namely Cheshire, Shropshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. And in July 2025 we expanded into ‘phase two’ England, namely Merseyside, Devon and Cornwall, Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Context of role:
The Immediate Support and Debrief Manager will lead the development, coordination, and delivery of our specialist immediate support service for families, professionals and individuals affected by sudden bereavement. You will be responsible for ensuring that our services are trauma-informed, responsive and delivered to a consistently high standard supporting the complex and individual needs of those who have experienced profound loss.
This role will oversee the existing immediate support service delivered across Wales and the expansion phases across England. You will manage a team of fifteen individuals who are a mixture of full and part time roles. This is a unique and hugely rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of suddenly bereaved individuals across our communities.
You will work closely with the Children and Young People Service Manager and the Therapies Assessor and Service Manager to provide a holistic, joined up service to all who access our service.
Main duties:
- To manage the bereavement service including the operational delivery of immediate support and debriefs, ensuring the service is delivered consistently, responsively and to a high standard
- To oversee the database of 2wish Champions within hospitals and police forces across Wales and the two phases of England
- Lead upon, develop and maintain safeguarding practices and procedures in line with national guidelines and attend the bi-monthly internal Safeguarding Committee meetings.
- To oversee the delivery and develop training delivered to professional partners
- Oversee and manage a database of stakeholder contacts and families ensuring that Data Protection legislation and GDPR guidelines are implemented and adhered to
- To work closely with the Head of Bereavement Services to ensure delivery and growth of services
- Attend bereavement forums and other relevant meetings as required by, or in place of, the Head of Bereavement Services
- To be able to provide outstanding immediate emotional support and advice to families and those we support as required
Management:
- To lead, motivate and line manage the immediate support team responsible for delivering our immediate support and debrief service
- Manage a diverse team, organise regular team meetings and set realistic but challenging objectives to further the work of the charity
- To carry our monthly supervisions and bi-annual appraisals with the Immediate Support Coordinators
- To carry out monthly case reviews with the Immediate Support team
- To produce weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to evidence activity and impact
- To develop and oversee a training programme for the team including mandatory and varied subject matter
General:
- To be responsible for organising own work agenda, time management and administration
- To show respect and sensitivity for the cultural and religious beliefs of families
- To undertake learning opportunities and seek them out for the team
- To adhere to all company policies and procedures including Safeguarding, Confidentiality, Health and Safety and Lone Working; and to be proactive in implementing new safe working practices as appropriate
- To attend weekend and evening community events in support of the charity as necessary
- Participate as and when required in team meetings and one-to-one meetings, and undertake, as appropriate, courses/training/other developmental activities, which is relevant to the role
- Contribute on the social media platforms maintained by 2wish
It is the nature of the work that tasks and responsibilities are in may circumstances unpredictable and varied. All employees are therefore expected to work in a flexible way and tasks, which are not specifically covered in their job description may have to be undertaken.
You will be subject to performance review, which will incorporate a review of the above duties and performance over the period.
This role is subject to a DBS check.
Salary: Starting salary of £32,000 per annum, with the opportunity for an increase through the annual appraisal structure.
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Normal office hours are 9am - 5pm, Monday to Friday, although alternative hours may be worked with line manager agreement. Work outside office hours may sometimes be necessary and will be compensated for by time off in lieu.
Annual leave: 28 days plus bank holidays. Annual leave steadily increases after five years of service. Annual leave and statutory holidays are calculated on a pro rata basis where applicable.

The pathfinder partnership joins up services in the VCSE sector across Greater Manchester (including We Are Survivors, Greater Manchester Rape Crisis & MASH) and works closely with NHS services to provide survivors of sexual violence with increased access to mental and physical health support.

- Design and develop individually tailored care plans and pathways for clients in the service.

Context of role:
2wish supports anyone affected by the sudden and unexpected death of a child or young person aged 25 and under. We are a largely self-funded charity providing support across Wales and England. Our support team works very closely with our fundraising team to increase income but also to raise awareness of the work of 2wish.
This is a unique opportunity for an individual to continue to raise awareness of the charity, as well as continuing its activities in Wales. It will involve helping to organise fundraising events, working with volunteers and encouraging community fundraising opportunities.
Main duties:
Service:
- To help raise awareness of 2wish and the work we do.
- To work alongside the support team and to build on the reputation of 2wish
- Research, approach and engage community groups and local supporters using mechanisms for engaging their support to develop additional sources of income
- To liaise with the public who are fundraising for 2wish
- To support the delivery of community and corporate events, and monitor the income raised
- To attend community, corporate and networking events where necessary
- To actively participate in and collaborate on financial planning as a business unit during regular fundraising meetings
- To submit an annual business plan and budgets for the fundraising team
- To submit monthly and annual reports to the Fundraising Manager as required and work to monthly targets
- Supporting the 2wish Fundraising Team with events and community fundraising
- Working with the Volunteer Coordinator to identify and secure volunteers and ambassadors, meeting them regularly and maintaining engagement. Lead the Volunteer programme in your area.
- Maintain relationships with all donors including attending cheque presentations
- To work flexibly, travel, and make overnight stays when required
- To attend weekend and evening community/corporate events in support of the charity when required

You will be responsible for implementing business plans, maximising access and take-up of services, and ensuring high quality delivery. You will manage the work of a team of Breast Cancer Now staff and contracted facilitators based across the UK. Current services include Moving Forward in-person and online services, and our Speakers Live service.

Working pattern: full-time (36.25 hours per week) - part time considered
It is essential that you live within the Thames Valley region, or close enough to commute

You will deliver a face-to-face service to clients in their own home or safe meeting place across the Thames Valley area as well as providing support by phone, email or other means to suit the service user. As a Caseworker, you will provide trauma-informed care to individuals and families suffering from the sudden bereavement or life-altering injury of a loved one. Who we're looking for
Full training will be provided under the guidance of our dedicated Training Officer. Our induction program has been developed to equip caseworkers with the skills they need to provide high quality support to road victims and covers topics such as being trauma-informed, safeguarding and risk management. We're open to candidates from all sorts of backgrounds, as long as you're a compassionate, self-starter with a background in providing high-quality emotional support and advocacy. Your experience in roles within the NHS, any health and social care, road safety, counselling, the police and family liaison officers, lived experience or any type of casework could make you an ideal candidate.
Essential Requirements:

In this role you will have opportunity to design and deliver innovative youth group support programmes (12- 24 year olds) & other activities; provide LGBTQ+ affirmative support, guidance and mentoring on a one-to-one basis; work with our wider family work programme, support families with LGBTQ+ children and deliver work in schools to students & teaching staff. You will have the responsibity to support volunteer mentors.
You will be responsible for the direct delivery of elop’s LGBTQ+ Young Peoples Service, including promotion, & administration, along with the induction, support & supervision of volunteers and interns. You will work alongside the wider staff team to support elop’s work with LGBTQ+ young people and contribute to sustainable service development.
The delivery of group support and activities will take place in person, and you will be office based three days a week with some remote working on other days before returning to full time in person working.
Full Time: 37 hours per week
You must be available to work Tuesday evenings & once a month on a Sunday afternoon. There will be occasional other evenings / weekend working required.

Our new Resettlement Manager will oversee our delivery of the Home Office’s resettlement schemes, which we manage in partnership with Nottingham City and County Councils.
In this busy and varied role you will be responsible for ensuring the Resettlement Scheme is meeting its service delivery targets. You will lead and develop the team to make sure clients receive accurate information and appropriate support. You will liaise with external partners such as Nottingham City Council regarding all aspects of service delivery, and will be expected to attend relevant interagency meetings and conferences to influence positive change.
This role will involve line-management responsibilities, and you will be required to provide some casework cover during staff absences. You will also be a member of our management team, and as such will play a key role in helping to develop Nottingham Refugee Forum’s strategic aims and service delivery.
We're looking for someone with:-
- Minimum of two year’s recent experience of managing a team
- Minimum one year’s recent experience of providing advice and support in a paid or voluntary capacity to vulnerable people
