Charles Harper House is a supported housing service for people with learning disabilities and sensory impairments, such as visual or hearing loss. The scheme consists of eight self-contained flats, two on-site offices, a communal area, and a large garden. Staff in the service are trained in British Sign Language (BSL), so a willingness to gain this qualification is essential.

The role

About the role

The Senior Communications and Marketing Officer works across the varied functions and services of CoramBAAF including policy and practice, membership, publications, and training and events. About the Early Years Assistant role 

We are seeking enthusiastic bank staff to provide flexible cover for staff absences at our vibrant 59-place nursery, located in the Coin Street neighbourhood centre on London’s South Bank, just minutes from Waterloo and Blackfriars stations. As part of a dedicated team of educators supported by two experienced senior teachers, you will help ensure the smooth running of the nursery by assisting with mealtimes, activities, general care, and safeguarding the welfare of children. You will play a key role in supporting our residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. As a Support Worker at Ace of Clubs drop-in day centre supporting people who are homeless and facing adversity, you will play a key role in supporting individuals who may be navigating chaotic lifestyles, trauma, and multiple disadvantages. You will provide practical and emotional support, help people access essential services, and work to empower them to move towards independence.

Your role will involve working directly with service users, managing case records, liaising with partner agencies, and contributing to the smooth running of our busy centre. Ultimately, you will support people to overcome barriers, develop essential skills, and build confidence in navigating life challenges and providing advocacy where needed.  In particular, you will be on duty as Support Worker during our busy, daily lunchtime service - responding to the needs of a variety of guests – on a busy day we can reach 150 – 200 guests visiting our service.

In addition, Ace of Clubs works with a wide range of volunteers and partners on a daily basis including food partners, health partners, corporate, individual and client volunteers.  Your role will also be required to support the team in the smooth functioning of these areas, for example liaising with partners on site, showing around volunteers or feeding back any issues during lunch service.

Context and purpose of role

By 2034 Ramblers ambition is that everyone in England and Wales will be able to join a Wellbeing Walk close to where they live – for communities to come together and experience the health and wellbeing benefits of walking. This work is part of the strategic plan and business objectives of Ramblers GB.

The role will deliver the Walking Together Project across communities in north London, Slough and Reading. The role will engage directly with the most disadvantaged communities, where loneliness, social isolation and inactivity could be prevalent, through a ‘Getting Started’ Wellbeing Walks programme. This is a community delivery role to work with local communities to establish walks and find potential walk leaders within the community to sustain walking.

The Royal British Legion provides life-changing support to our Armed Forces community which includes those who have served, those still serving, and their families. At times of crisis and need we offer them vital advice, assistance and funding.

We are looking for an Independent Living Advisor (South) to provide specialist, person centred and holistic advice, guidance, advocacy, and support to people living with a long-term illness or disability or caring for someone with these conditions.

As an Independent Living Advisor, you will empower individuals facing challenges with daily living, mobility, or self-care, as well as their carers, by providing tailored advice and support. You’ll conduct holistic assessments, working with health and social care professionals, to guide individuals on accessing support services, funding, and resources.

You’ll manage a varied caseload, addressing care needs, grants, adaptations, and funding options, delivering advice through phone, email, meetings, and home visits. By coordinating with other RBL services, you’ll ensure a fully integrated, person-centred approach that helps individuals regain control over their lives.

A DBS check is required for this role.

The role covers South England, therefore candidates must be based in this geographical region.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Officer to join the fundraising team at the Batten Disease Family Association CIO (BDFA).

The BDFA, founded in 1998 is the only patient organisation in the UK for families affected by Batten disease, a rare and terminal neurodegenerative condition that affects children and young adults. The BDFA offers informed guidance and support to families and the professionals who work with them, as well as actively raising awareness, and promoting research into the management of Batten disease to improve patient care pathways and ultimately find a cure.

This is an exciting time to join the charity, which has grown to offer additional support services for families affected by Batten disease and to implementing a long-term strategy to develop its advocacy, education and research capabilities. We’re looking for an individual who has some experience in fundraising, particularly leading on all aspects of community fundraising, developing and nurturing relationships with volunteer fundraising groups and individual supporters. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of our CEO to develop community fundraising maximising the funds raised by volunteer fundraisers and developing supporter engagement. The successful candidate will also work alongside our Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Officer to support our Trusts and Foundations income generation.

The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:

- Experience in all aspects of community fundraising including events, assisting fundraisers to develop imaginative fundraising ideas and inspiring new supporters to raise funds whilst maintaining relationships with existing supporters

- Experience in building and sustaining long-term relationships with fundraising groups and individual supporters

- Experience in managing effective and creative fundraising communications on social media and the website

- Ability to contribute to the overall Trusts and Foundations income stream, including proactively researching and identifying grant funding opportunities 

- Ability to lead on creative fundraising campaigns around key events such as Batten disease awareness day and Christmas

This job requires a motivated individual who has a passion for all those within our Batten community and a strong desire to support the development and financial growth of the BDFA. The role is full time (35 hours per week) and is home based with occasional travel around the UK to meet donors and support fundraising events.

Step into a pivotal role supporting the Legacy Administration Manager to deliver best practice legacy administration and maximise vital income for Marie Curie. You’ll lead on implementing team strategy, refining processes, and championing high standards across a busy, specialist function.

Help shape the future of legacy giving at Marie Curie. As our Legacy Administration Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in protecting and optimising one of the charity’s most important income streams.

In this role, you will:

• With advanced knowledge of UK-wide legacy administration and multi-jurisdiction practice, you’ll manage your own complex and contentious caseload handling sensitive issues, mitigating reputational risk, and ensuring Marie Curie receives its full entitlement.
• As a confident people manager, you’ll mentor and develop three Legacy Officers, driving performance through regular 121s, quality monitoring, and clear KPIs. You’ll embed a positive, high-performing team culture while ensuring consistent, accurate and timely casework.
• You’ll work collaboratively with solicitors, executors, internal teams and co-beneficiary charities, representing Marie Curie with professionalism and care. You’ll also lead projects, support governance work, and deputise for the Legacy Administration Manager when required.
• If you’re passionate about leadership, expert legacy practice, and making a real impact within a major UK charity, this role puts you at the heart of safeguarding and growing crucial legacy income.

Skills Needed

• Proven line management experience, including mentoring, performance management and developing high performing teams.
• Advanced knowledge of legacy administration and experience within the charity sector, including wills, probate, trusts, tax and estate management.
• Experience managing complex and contentious caseloads, with the ability to handle sensitive issues and mitigate reputational risk.
• Strong understanding of multi-jurisdiction legacy processes across the UK, with confidence navigating varied legal and operational requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to build effective relationships and influence outcomes with solicitors, executors, co-beneficiary charities and internal teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail when managing casework including when reviewing legal documentation and estate accounts
• High-level communication skills, able to engage sensitively and professionally with family, friends, legal professionals and members of the public.
