The organisation has big plans for growth over the next 5 years and is looking for an experienced and driven Philanthropy Manager who can join our small and growing team to help us reach ambitious fundraising targets and take the organisation to the next level. There is potential for a number of income streams to grow, particularly major donors, corporates, trusts & foundations, and an annual programme of special events.
You will understand how a growing organisation with different income streams works, you will be able to identify and develop relationships with new major donors, corporates and trusts & foundations, grow (or create) and deliver high quality fundraising events and utilise your experience and motivation to develop new ways of raising large scale funds.
Existing funders include a mix of trusts and foundations, major donors and corporate partners (including L’Oréal Foundation and Universal Music). There is significant potential for the development of corporate and high value individual partnerships with sectors such as the music, tech and finance industry.

The Major Giving Department at the NSPCC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser to become part of the Statutory Team, securing significant income from national, devolved and local government, research grant-makers and commercial tenders.
The Senior Public Sector Development Manager will work with the Lead for Public Sector Development, the Associate Head of Philanthropy, another Senior Public Sector Development Manager and two Public Sector Development Managers towards a shared income target of around £5 million per annum. These funds will create ground-breaking NSPCC projects that support millions of children, and help prevent abuse across the UK.
The recruited fundraiser will work at both a national and local level to lead on securing six and seven-figure grants to help the Statutory team achieve its annual income target. Working across the charity, they will build relationships with senior stakeholders, and source and share information with funders through engaging written materials, phone conversations and face-to-face meetings. Alongside managing their own portfolio, they will think strategically and lead on maximising new public sector funding streams.
The Major Giving Department is open and supportive with an active social life. The wider Trusts & Statutory Team has grown considerably - increasing its annual income by more than £6 million since 2017/18. Position Requirements:
- A minimum of five years of related work experience in major gifts fundraising or in the field of marketing and communications, preferably at a non-profit advocacy organisation.
- A proven track record of bringing in major donations of six-figure sums.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM preferred.
- A practical understanding of fundraising, GDPR and charity regulation.
- Knowledge of and proven ability to develop and implement fundraising strategies.

About the Role
The Philanthropy Lead joins an energised and committed major gifts team covering trusts and major donors. You will have significant ambitions for developing and sustaining relationships with new and existing donors giving up to seven figure gifts.
This role is key to leading excellent stewardship of donors and the management of the recently re-launched 1766 Circle of benefactors. You will ensure that the organisation communicates the impact of it’s work by creating a compelling and thoughtful stewardship plan. You will then deliver excellent communications and touch points with some of the closest supporters to ensure they feel connected to and inspired by the charity.
Ultimately the role will lead ACT’s philanthropy stewardship programme through establishing slick systems, sympathetic and thoughtful donor engagement and a pragmatic approach to project management.

Role Definition
The Development Department is responsible for securing revenue and project income from funding sources including individuals, businesses, trusts and statutory organisations to support the Theatre and its work. In addition, the team is embarking on a multimillion-pound capital fundraising campaign to completely refurbish its auditorium and build a new 200-seat second space within the existing building.
The Membership Manager’s key responsibilities are to increase income through our Supporters’ Circle membership scheme, manage relationships and the delivery of benefits to our Corporate Partners, and provide exceptional technical, organisation and administration skills to support the work of the department. Dogs Trust Worldwide works with local dog welfare organisations around the world to improve the lives of dogs in the communities where they operate.
Dogs Trust are going through a period of growth, with recruitment for two Senior New Partnerships Managers due to the existing Lead getting an internal promotion. There are continuing plans to drive new business through long-term strategic partnerships.
The Senior New Partnerships Manager will play an active role in winning new partnerships to support international and UK-based work. Alongside the Deputy Head of Partnerships, you will work closely with the prospect research and special events team, and line manage a New Partnerships Manager.
You will be responsible for proactively identifying and cultivating high value prospects within target corporate sectors, to win significant high value multi-year partnerships that support Dogs Trust’s work.
This role will look for high value opportunities across multiple fundraising mechanisms including, but not limited to, corporate donations, cause-related marketing, consultancy services, gift in kind and pro bono cost saving, employee engagement and volunteering, charity of the year and sponsorship.
About the role
- Identify and cultivate new corporate partnerships supporting a new business team target of £950k.
- Collaboratively work with the Deputy Head of Corporate Partnerships in developing new corporate fundraising products that access a range of different corporate income streams.
- Build networks with key decision makers and influencers at target companies to strengthen relationships and build long term partnerships.
- Line manage a New Partnerships Manager supporting performance and professional development.
About you
- Proven track record of identifying and securing 5-6 figure corporate partnerships.
- Experience of line managing or supervising staff to deliver excellent work and of supporting their professional development.
- Demonstrable experience of writing successful, inspiring, emotive and technically accurate proposals and pitches, tailored to a corporate audience.
- Tenacious, with strong negotiation skills and full appreciation of the commercial value of Dogs Trust brand and assets

About the role
As Major Gifts Manager, you'll join the charities growing philanthropy team working on a portfolio of £5-100k+ gifts where you'll steward Major Donors in Scotland and work on building a new pipeline of high networth individuals. About you
You've got a proven track record of making the ask at the five/six figure mark. You create inspiring and emotive proposals, tailored to the individual with a focus on outcomes and impact. You're confident in picking up the phone and getting out to meet donors, where you communicate and influence effectively. You thrive in a homeworking environment, managing your time well and organising a pipeline of work independently. Whilst previous philanthropy experience would come in handy, we are open to applications from fundraisers with transferable skills and experience in other income streams but you must be able to demonstrate you understand the theory of how Philanthropy works. What we'll also need you to demonstrate is a talent for relationship building and a passion for stewardship; the ability to listen carefully and intuitively to shape opportunities for donors to give. You will be joining our Philanthropy Team that's responsible for managing relationships with, and securing donations from, mid and major value individuals and trusts & foundations. The team has recently transitioned to a new team structure with a new set of ambitions and plans, and more formalised support across the organisation, at all levels, to enable the team to deliver.
As part of these changes, a new role of Fundraising Resource Manager (High Value) has been created, to lead on the operation and resource requirements of high value at Blue Cross, including:
- leading on the development of fundraising opportunities and propositions, including the management of funding opportunity information and case for support resource
- overseeing the delivery of high-quality prospect research and driving pipeline performance through delivery of prospecting plans and lead generation
- providing insight and performance information to help inform strategy, including the management of CRM, financial, and KPI reporting requirements
- operational delivery of team processes and the events and stewardship programme to support effect donor engagement
- management of a Fundraising Resource Officer, building an effective fundraising resource team for the future

- management of stewardship products/programmes and/or events
- supporting high-value fundraising teams

- liaising and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders at all levels
- comprehensive understanding of managing personal data in accordance with GDPR, data protection legislation and fundraising ethics
