Why We’re Creating This Role 

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced marketeer to play a leading role in a charity celebrating 70 years of impact, transforming the lives of thousands of disabled people and their families. 

We know that Phab has untapped potential to grow our reach and amplify our impact – but we currently lack in-house marketing and communications expertise. This new leadership role will be pivotal in developing and delivering a compelling, inclusive, and authentic voice for Phab across all channels.

As we approach our 70th anniversary in July 2027, we want to use this milestone to ‘share the powerful stories of the people involved in Phab, past and present’ to celebrate and amplify Phab’s reach and inspire the next generation of disabled and non-disabled young people to drive inclusion, alongside supporters, volunteers, partners, and participants. 

The Role 

The Head of Marketing and Communications will shape and lead a new marketing and comms strategy in line with our Phab Strategy 2025 to 2030 – raising awareness of our work, growing our supporter base, championing inclusive practice, and ensuring that our messaging reflects and amplifies disabled voices. 

You will work closely with teams across the charity, especially fundraising, Adventures, and ACTS, to develop content and that help us connect with new audiences, demonstrate impact, and position Phab as a leader in disability inclusion. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategy and Leadership 

• Develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy aligned with Phab’s mission and strategic objectives 

• Line manage and support the Social Media & Club Support Executive, and oversee the work of external freelancers/agencies where required

• Lead brand development and ensure consistency and accessibility across all channels and materials 

• Support the planning and delivery of Phab’s 70th Anniversary celebrations, with strong storytelling and visibility 

Campaigns and Content 

• Plan and deliver engaging multi-channel campaigns to promote Phab’s services, projects, and fundraising efforts 

• Produce high-quality content including blogs, newsletters, case studies, videos, and press releases

• Grow our reach across digital and traditional media, proactively seeking new PR opportunities 

• Support volunteers, Phab Club members and Phab Adventurers to tell their stories and represent Phab’s voice authentically and confidently 

Digital and Data 

• Manage and develop Phab’s website and ensure content is current, accessible, and engaging 

• Use data, analytics, and audience insight to guide strategy and optimise campaigns 

• Monitor and report on KPIs, reach, and engagement to the senior leadership team and board 

Collaboration and Influence 

• Work cross-functionally to align messaging and create joint campaigns with fundraising, Adventures and ACTS teams 

• Lead in media relations, building partnerships with relevant organisations, and influencers 

• Stay up to date with trends in marketing, communications, and the disability sector

Essential 

• Degree (or equivalent professional qualification) in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline. 

• Substantial proven success in a senior leadership role within marketing and communications, ideally at organisational or national level. 

• Demonstrated experience of managing and motivating teams (staff and freelancers) and fostering collaborative working across departments. 

• Strong strategic acumen combined with a track record of delivering high-impact, multi-channel campaigns from conception to evaluation. 

• Proven expertise in fundraising communications, including shaping compelling supporter journeys that drive engagement and income growth. 

• Established networks and sector contacts that can be leveraged to amplify Phab’s reach and reputation. 

• Outstanding storytelling, copywriting, and content creation skills, with a portfolio of work demonstrating impact. 

• Evident commitment to disability inclusion, with practical understanding of the social model of disability. 

• Ability to champion inclusive communications and accessible design principles, embedding them across all channels. 

• High level of confidence in using digital tools, social media platforms, and analytics to optimise campaigns and engagement. 

Desirable

About the Role

Croydon BME Forum, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support, is tackling ethnic inequalities in health and social care through this “Can You C Me Project”. The Macmillan Team offers personalised support, information, and referrals for individuals affected by cancer, including families and carers, across six South West London boroughs: Croydon, Merton, Kingston, Wandsworth, and Richmond. Working within a team of three, you will be responsible for two boroughs, Croydon and Merton while supporting colleagues as needed.

As a Project Coordinator for the Can You C Me project, you will play a key role in engaging BME communities to enhance cancer awareness and support. Reporting to the Programme Manager, you will lead outreach initiatives, community engagement, and the organisation of project activities across Southwest London. Each coordinator is assigned a specific set of boroughs, collaborating closely with community organisations, faith groups, healthcare providers, and individuals affected by cancer.

Youth Development Outreach Worker

Oasis Community Hub Hadley and North Middlesex University Hospital

Oasis Community Hub Hadley encompasses a variety of integrated and diverse community projects which together have a common aim to bring transformation to the whole person and the whole community. 

Oasis Community Hub Hadley is looking to recruit a Youth Development Outreach Worker to join the Oasis Youth Support project at North Middlesex University Hospital. This project offers support to young people who have attended the Emergency Department due to violence in order to promote positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Offering intensive 1:1 support to the young people referred to the project by hospital staff following an attendance at ED due to violence or aggression. Support for the young person can include liaising with parents/carers, safeguarding services and other agencies/networks with the purpose of increasing positive outcomes.

· Being a physical presence in the department, working with key staff within NMUH to ensure all young people who come into ED as a result of a violence or aggression are able to access support where required.

· Planning and delivering sessions focusing around specific areas of violence reduction for young people and professionals.

You could be successful in this role if you: 

· Have a relevant experience working with young people using a Youth Work approach and seen a positive impact from that work

· Are committed and passionate about working with young people who have experienced violence using a young person centred, trauma informed approach.

· Possess excellent oral/written communication and organisational skills.

· Are self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and work to deadlines.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Baca is dedicated to providing support and care to 16 to 18 year old unaccompanied asylum seeking children who are newly arrived in the country, helping them rebuild their strength, dignity, and hope for the future. We work closely with social workers and representatives from other agencies to benefit the young people in our care.

The Order of St John is both an international charity providing first aid and community healthcare in 44 countries and territories across the globe and a modern Crown Order of Chivalry. A small secretariat in London provides support and strategic direction for organisations in the St John family and the Order’s governance bodies. We are looking for a Head of Chancery to join the senior management team in the International Office in London, with specific responsibility for the Order of Chivalry.

The role:

Are you ready to help make a significant impact in financial decision-making? As Finance Business Partner (FBP), you’ll be at the heart of supporting our key stakeholders with in-depth reporting; financial analysis; and insights. In your role you’ll support your stakeholders with strategic recommendations on pivotal financial decisions and offering advice that puts finance at the heart of decision making here at King’s.

This role will cover:

• Collaborative Partnering: You will work alongside various directorates to ensure financial targets are met. You will facilitate strategic decision-making within the areas you partner with.
• Financial Guidance: You will provide support and advice to academic and professional staff to ensure King’s operational and commercial programmes are managed financially well. This includes delivering high-quality analysis and clear communication through monthly reporting and everyday interactions.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across King’s Directorates, serving as the pivotal link between the Finance, Procurement, Strategic Planning and Analytics Directorate, and the areas you partner.

About You:

• Qualifications & Experience: You are a qualified Accountant with a strong background in management accounting, including setting up accounting and reporting frameworks. You have good experience in budget building & profiling; in monthly reporting and forecasting; and ensuring the integrity of our financial information.
• Analytical Excellence: You deliver regular reports and commentary to senior stakeholders, enabling them to make informed decisions.
• Curious and Enthusiastic: Bring a proactive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a keen interest in continuous learning.

Based in Central London, you will work on-site two days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the rest of the week.

• A demonstrable track record of working in public affairs in an agency, in-house or in Parliament

• Comfort and familiarity engaging with senior political stakeholders of all parties

• Excellent knowledge of the UK political landscape including the working of Westminster, Whitehall and existing relationships with MPs and advisors

• The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and respond flexibly to adapt strategies to fit rapidly changing political landscapes

• An action oriented, results driven, well organised approach

• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt messages and language to resonate with different audiences

Reporting into the Deputy Director of Fundraising and Communications, the Trusts and Foundations Manager will lead on the development and delivery of the charity’s Trusts and Foundations income stream where you will focus on growing the pipeline, writing compelling applications and funding reports whilst maintaining excellent relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage the day-to-day delivery of the trusts and foundations income stream in line with strategic objectives and income targets

· Create compelling and innovative funding proposals and applications to existing and new trusts and foundations

· Ensure timely and impactful reporting in line with the funder’s requirements

· Collaborate with the DD of Fundraising and Communications to shape and deliver the trusts and foundations strategy to ensure long-term sustainability

· Grow the trusts and foundations pipeline with high-quality research and prospecting to identify and maximise new opportunities

· Deliver a robust stewardship programme to ensure excellent relationships with established and new donors
