Venn Group are delighted to be partnered with a large international Charity to support with the recruitment of a Financial Accountant. The role will be supporting with producing statutory accounts for certain large entities, as well as being a key point of contact during external audit.
Key responsibilities of the role:
- Assist in the preparation of audited financial statements for two major subsidiaries
- Complete the consolidation of subsidiary entities into the relevant group financial statements
- Prepare statutory accounts for smaller entities for review by senior finance colleagues
- Submit statutory returns, including those for tax and national statistics authorities, and support fundraising and grant teams with financial data derived from statutory accounts
- Collaborate with senior finance leadership to support strategic initiatives aimed at streamlining financial processes, reducing errors, and improving data-driven decision-making
- Lead a project to automate and integrate statutory account preparation using linked Excel and Word documents, ensuring real-time updates and maintaining template functionality
- Reconcile a range of control accounts on a monthly basis and resolve outstanding items in coordination with cross-functional finance teams
- Act as a key contact for external auditors, attend senior-level audit meetings, process adjustments, and implement recommended improvements
- Partner with management accounting and regional teams to align reporting processes and agree on accounting treatments for key balances such as debtors and accruals
- Develop insight into property reporting and funding, and its alignment with statutory reporting—particularly regarding reserves and contingent liabilities
- Support the preparation of key board and audit committee papers, including going concern assessments in collaboration with senior finance leadership
- Ensure compliance with year-end procedures and produce balance sheet reconciliations and supporting notes for audit purposes
- Serve as a principal liaison for external audits relating to both major trusts, providing assistance and documentation as required
Ideal candidate profile:
- Fully qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
- Experience in planning and preparing statutory accounts and disclosure notes
- Good understanding of Charity SORP and FRS 102
- Advanced IT skills to enable complex manipulation and interpretation of financial data
- A deep understanding of accounting concepts with proven experience of dealing with external auditors

Oversee the success of our Networks and Groups for staff from hospices across the UK, ensuring they remain coordinated, consistent and informed by experts and evidence.
Collaborate closely with subject matter experts across the charity, to help deliver plan and deliver these virtual groups, which involve multiple hospice staff and external stakeholders across different subject areas.
Deliver and grow our integral Big Conversations series, which brings the hospice sector together on the biggest issues of the day.
We’re looking for someone who takes a consistent project management approach to leading virtual networks and large online meetings/webinars. Building strong internal and external relationships will be vital.
You might be working in the charity sector already, or bring strong technical experience delivering virtual events or online membership networks from other sectors. You don’t need to have a background in healthcare.
You’ll join a close, 16-strong Programmes Team at Hospice UK, made up of experienced clinicians, sector-leading project and event managers, and specialists in evidence and research. We work together and alongside external experts, to design and deliver evidence-based programmes, projects and events, which help hospices provide the very best care in their communities.

About the role
Reporting in to the Director of Organisational Effectiveness, the Head of Health, Safety, Security & Safeguarding is a key role for Christian Aid and will inspire, design and drive Christian Aid's Global Safe strategy, in respect of safety, security, and safeguarding, ensuring that staff in the UK, overseas offices, and partner organisations operate in a safe, secure, and well-supported environment.

We’re looking for a strategic, innovative and proactive Communications and Marketing Lead to drive forward Save the Rhino’s communications across all touch points, delivering our ambitious five-year strategy. As a member of the Senior Management Team, this role is key to shaping our public voice, strengthening our organisation’s brand and driving greater awareness and engagement with rhino conservation.
This is a broad and influential role for an experienced communications and marketing professional to amplify our core conservation messaging alongside our fundraising campaigns. You’ll oversee all aspects of external communications including messaging, media, PR, digital, campaigns and brand. As Health Intelligence Analyst you will be working as part of our highly respected health intelligence team, playing a key part in ensuring we use data and insights to understand and advocate for the needs and experiences of people living with arthritis and MSK conditions.
The postholder will undertake data analysis, data visualisation, and produce reports to develop and administer systems and processes that aid effective data intelligence gathering. About the role
- Lead on establishing and maintaining a ‘single source of the truth’ on arthritis and musculoskeletal statistics and data within the charity and beyond. This includes our annual State of MSK Health statistics report and other statistics publications.
- Support on the development and delivery of a pipeline of insightful MSK and health data analysis and quantitative research, to better understand the UK population with arthritis and MSK conditions and to inform the direction of Versus Arthritis’ ambitions, strategy, policy and services work.

What will I be doing?
Play a key role in supporting the building of, and day to day management of, the interim roadmap of tech enabled change for the M&D function, whilst the new structure is set up.

Accountable for documenting and managing new ways of working across M&D that support the continuous change over the next 3 years, including establishing an early piloting process across all tech enable change areas.

Manage escalations appropriately to ensure decisions are made by the appropriate representatives based on evidence, considering risks, costs, benefits, and options.
In collaboration with the Personalisation 1 Project Manager, identify and plan resource needs, governance, and structure to support delivery, adapting as the project moves from design to delivery, and into post go live activity.
Work closely with business change managers to link in with internal comms partners and ensure programme updates are incorporated into the internal comms plan.
Put our audiences and supporters at the heart of all projects and activity, ensuring supporter insight and experience is prioritised in project.

We support young people to use their voice by providing them with outstanding democratic education. We work with young people, teachers and politicians to help them to learn, teach and engage in politics. We are a non-partisan organisation working across the UK.
We also coordinate the Democracy Classroom network, a partnership between over 100 civil society organisations that supports young people to engage in elections.
The Politics Project delivers Digital Dialogue: Wales, which supports young people to have meaningful conversations with the politicians that represent them, building trust and relationships on both sides. Young people gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to engage in the democratic process through informed interactions with their elected representatives.
These interactions take place both online and in-person, in classrooms across Wales.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Programme Coordinator will plan, arrange and facilitate Dialogue sessions, where learners question and discuss issues relevant to young people with their political representatives. The post holder will also support schools and colleges to deliver Youth Hustings for the 2026 Senedd and 2027 Local elections, giving learners the opportunity to meet, and ask questions to, candidates standing in their area.
The Politics Project wants Digital Dialogue: Wales to fundamentally change the way that young people and politicians interact across Wales. Help us to make sure that young people get their voices heard.
Working with the Head of Programmes and the Digital Dialogue: Wales Programme Lead, the post holder would support the delivery and growth of Digital Dialogue: Wales, allowing more young people, teachers and politicians to take part. This is a fast-paced role in a small but growing team.
While fluency in Welsh is preferred, it is not a requirement for this role.
The post holder will:
- Work with the Head of Programmes and the Digital Dialogue: Wales Programme Lead to support the delivery of the Digital Dialogue: Wales programme.

We are recruiting for an Events Fundraising Coordinator within the Bespoke Events team. This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week on a permanent contract.
As Events Fundraising Coordinator, you will support the growth, development, and delivery of our Bespoke events portfolio.
