The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the Sector and be a Senior Leader with extensive experience of service delivery, people management, organisation development, finance, income generation and stakeholder engagement.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Deliver current services efficiently, achieving high levels of performance and satisfaction against contract requirements in both quantitative and qualitative terms.

2. Lead and develop the team in a supportive and collaborative manner and build resilience into the organisation.

3.Maintain and develop effective relationships with existing funders to ensure the renewal and ideally expansion of existing contracts as well as seeking new funders to help achieve Richmond CVS’s External Income growth goals.

4. Be a visible and effective ambassador and champion for Richmond CVS within the local and wider London Voluntary Sector to promote and support the health and growth of the Sector.

5. In collaboration with the Board, develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with key external stakeholders to ensure maximum impact.

6. Ensure strategic representation for Richmond CVS and the Voluntary Community Social Enterprise in key strategic boards and partnerships.

7. Work with the Board, Company Secretary and Treasurer to ensure effective and efficient Governance, to include:  Annual Work Plan, regular and timely reporting on contractual and project performance metrics, financial planning and reporting, risk management, policies and procedures and meeting all statutory requirements.

8.Work with the Board on the development, deployment and review of the Strategic Plan and Priorities and prepare an Annual Financial and Business Plan for approval and ongoing review by the Board. 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Executive Assistant to join the Chief Executives office. Your role is to provide high quality support to the Directors and by extension, the Senior Leadership Team

Role Requirements

• Provide high level administrative support to the Directors.
• Exercise judgement in prioritisation, dealing with matters within own remit and / or referring them to the director as and when necessary, ensuring tact, discretion and courtesy at all times.
• Review incoming mail, prioritising, redirecting or responding to issues.
• Monitor the email inbox of the Director(s), responding where relevant and highlighting any urgent messages to Director.
• Draft, edit and format documents
• Arrange travel bookings / itineraries

About the team
The Social Media Team consists of 5 roles, working across Shelter to manage our social media output and serve our comms, fundraising, retail, and services’ functions. Within the team we cover content, community management, reporting, training, and influencer outreach.

Job Purpose

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for strategic and operational oversight of the effective delivery of the Creating Community Connections Pilot, ensuring the successful delivery of the pilot project, balancing the demands of supporting the various partnerships between funders, providers, and stakeholders to collectively deliver the required impact and ensure contract compliance.

Creating Community Connections is a three-year Domestic Abuse (DA) pilot Project, funded by HMPPS. The project is led by a partnership of women’s centre providers - Women in Prison, Anawim, Together Women, and Nelson Trust and aims to connect women in prisons with vital specialist community support services across the country, especially women's centres and organisations providing support around DA. By connecting prisons and women in custody to a network of local women’s services, we hope to aid resettlement and support engagement with holistic support to meet women’s needs, address root causes of offending, improve outcomes on release and intercept cycles of trauma, disadvantage, and abuse, with a particular focus on DA services. The project will ultimately support women who have experienced domestic abuse and work with them so that their experiences do not negatively influence their opportunity of successful resettlement back into the community.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. To lead and take accountability for the delivery of the Creating Community Connections (CCC) project.
2. To actively engage with funders, stakeholders, delivery partners and the internal team(s), to build a solid understanding of the CCC Project.
3. Provide effective leadership to direct reports, fostering a positive, supportive and collaborative team culture.
4. To have oversight on a cross-organisational basis of leading practice in project management methodologies, tools and techniques advising teams and colleagues on suitable approaches to ensure the effective delivery of a range of diverse projects and programmes.

Katherine Low Settlement is a busy, local charity that has been serving Battersea and the wider Wandsworth community since 1924. We are dedicated to building stronger communities and enable people to challenge and find ways out of poverty and isolation.   

  

We run a range of our own community services to support local older people and children, young people, and their families from refugee communities. We campaign for social change. We incubate and support other charities and social businesses to thrive. Each week we work with 30+ charities and community groups supporting more than 1,000 people. 

  

We are looking for an experienced, confident and proactive fundraiser to join our income generation team to raise more grant income from charitable trusts and foundations primarily, along with corporates and other partners. These include local schools and community organisations. Maintaining great relationships with these and other supporters Is a key requirement of this role. A confident self-starter, you will have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Role Purpose 

Working alongside our chief executive (who is an experienced fundraiser), an external larger bid writing resource and heads of programmes, the key objectives are to successfully generate income with grants valuing up to c.£10k in line with KLS fundraising plan and annual budget; develop and maintain relationships, and secure funding from, a portfolio of loyal and prospective supporters. Stewardship, reporting, pipeline and other database management tasks are other key features of the role. 

Responsibilities and Duties 

• Drafting and submitting funding bids up to c£10k grant value 

• Reporting to funders and supporting relationships with funders and partners

• Researching and identifying grant funding opportunities 

• Managing bid writing process, including gathering input from colleagues 

• Briefing programme colleagues on project monitoring required to produce funding reports, including case studies 

• Working with CEO to ensure monitoring takes place throughout project delivery and within reporting timelines for multiple projects and funders 

• Ensuring project reports are completed and submitted to funders on time 

• Maintaining administrative procedures effectively to support and monitor our fundraising activities. This includes keeping donor records and our database (Salesforce) up to date, ensuring income is recorded accurately and the pipeline is updated, mailing documents and thanking donors

You will devise, lead and deliver high quality economic analysis and thinking to JRF’s policy & ideas work and offer a professional economics perspective across the wider organisation – and as a trusted, expert voice externally. You will seek out and connect with people or organisations developing new ideas and strategies that can contribute to our mission; and to develop proposals for how JRF should use its platform and resources to support their development and diffusion.

About you

As a Senior Economist, we would like you to either have a professional economics training or equivalent professional work experience, advanced data analysis skills and the ability to use a wide range of tools and software to undertake large scale and groundbreaking economic analysis (including using micro-data from major national surveys).

With experience of working on policy issues relating to poverty, you will have significant experience of having initiated, designed, led and delivered projects that included original economic analysis that generated a different or better understanding of policy challenges and helped to guide new arguments and ideas. You will be able to think critically and creatively, analyse and problem solve, and contribute to the generation of new ideas and alternative ways of approaching an issue, able to communicate arguments and ideas persuasively, via writing and speaking.

You will have advanced knowledge and critical awareness of economic theory, principles, datasets and analytical techniques and how to deploy these effectively in support of understanding and addressing the drivers of household economic insecurity. With significant knowledge of one or both of macroeconomics or UK fiscal policy and a strong understanding of how policy making works across the UK, devolved and sub-national governments, you will have an awareness and engagement with relevant political, policy and intellectual debates, plus models and approaches to social change.

About the Role

The Assessment and Data Administrator role is responsible for assisting with online assessment systems to ensure that full compliance of awarding organisations requirements are adhered to. Additionally, this individual will be the first point of call within the team for candidate or customer queries around our operational processes. 
 
We are looking for a positive, self-starter with strong organisational skills, who is confident with managing multiple tasks, and priorities and is able to provide an efficient support. The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a team and also work of their own initiative, confidently communicate with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority and display judgement, integrity and trustworthiness as you will be privy to learner information.
 
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate must have previous experience of working with IT and online learning platforms and be confident in managing the breadth of tasks within this function.

• Registration of learners across awarding organisation(s) for all courses.
• Maintenance of learner records with the awarding organisation(s).

About the Role

The position is permanent and part-time. It is for 3 days per week, for the right candidate. The postholder must be available to work one Saturday a month. A normal working week is 21 hours (3 days per week) to be worked between 09:30am to 5:30pm weekdays. There may be an opportunity to work from home once a week after probationary period.

The main tasks of the role include: maintaining effective communication and correspondence with our vulnerable young clients and booking appointments; overseeing and updating our case management system; administrative financial work, costs billing and creating invoices; and general administrative duties including filing, scanning, shredding, archiving, photocopying, creating e-bundles, preparing and taking post to the post office, completing forms, and requesting subject access disclosure and other information from third parties.

The role also requires the administrator to support, where necessary, the day-to-day administrative management of the office and PRCBC operations. This includes liaising with external stakeholders across a range of areas such as IT support and building management; supporting the maintenance and updating of operational procedures and practices; and completing ad-hoc administrative tasks, such as office supply procurement, as required.

To work effectively at PRCBC, it is necessary for the administrator to closely follow instructions, retain a professional approach throughout, and be highly focused and well organised, with excellent attention to detail.

Due to the varied nature of PRCBC’s work, the administrator participates in many aspects of the management, administrative and legal process, and interacts with a wide range of individuals, from solicitors and barristers to social workers and foster parents, alongside frequently vulnerable young clients and their carers. The administrator is therefore expected to manage a varied and evolving workload. The right candidate will have an initiative-taking mindset, be highly adaptable and willing and able to take initiative in daily operations.
