Job Summary

This is an opportunity for an experienced manager with a proven track record of supporting and leading a team of advocates to join Advance as the Angelou service manager. The post holder will manage a team of senior IDVAs (2) and IDVAs (4) who provide advocacy services to women experiencing domestic violence and abuse. This role requires the effective management of advocates who will deliver 1:1 advocacy that fulfils the needs of women accessing advocacy services across the boroughs of Hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea, and Westminster. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the Multiagency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The post holder will collaborate with Advance management, external agencies, and key stakeholders to provide consistent and holistic service.

 About the role

As a Principal Data Analyst in the Improvement Analytics Unit (IAU), you will collaborate with Senior Analytical Managers and Assistant Directors to develop and deliver an ambitious programme of work evaluating major health initiatives. You will lead IAU projects, support team members, and build relationships with key stakeholders at both local and national levels.

Initially the postholder will work predominantly within our growing technology-enabled change (TEC) evaluation programme. The TEC programme involves the causal evaluation of interventions or pathway changes in health and care enabled by innovative technology. The postholder may also work on projects on other programmes of work, including primary care and health system performance. Ideally the postholder will have experience of evaluations of new technologies or technology-enabled service change in health or care.

Managing multiple projects, you will identify, design, and take responsibility for the execution of new projects in collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. You will lead and mentor Senior Data Analysts and Data Analysts and support their professional development. You will ensure all analyses and reports are of the highest quality and effectively communicate findings to diverse audiences. You will provide expert advice on causal analytical methods and study design, particularly relating to technology-enabled change.

Early Literacy Interventionist (North London)

Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you keen to work with children to support and develop their phonics and reading skills? 

38% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary school in England each year unable to read to the expected standard. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive. We work to ensure that all children have 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.

Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme (based on a model that serves 20,000 children successfully in the USA) provides daily, 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool, a trained Early Literacy Interventionist works individually with target children. 

This ELI role, reporting to the Schools Development Manager, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop and grow their knowledge of phonics and/or their teaching skill set. It is ideal for someone with previous school experience who is looking for a new and exciting challenge.

You will conduct initial baseline assessments and then deliver differentiated, 1:1, targeted, 7 minute phonics sessions to pupils using a systematic, synthetic approach. Although you are employed by Chapter One, you will work closely with the school team to understand the progression of the school’s phonics teaching; establish tailored plans for each child and feedback on pupil progress. Using your knowledge and insight, you will also collaborate with colleagues at Chapter One to further improve the ELI model, the online tool and programme delivery.

Role Requirements

In this pivotal role, you will ensure the effective handling of safeguarding concerns while fostering confidence in safeguarding processes in collaboration with the National Safeguarding Team.

You will be instrumental in promoting and maintaining a strong safeguarding culture across Lambeth Palace's communities, offering strategic advice and professional support to leadership. Responsibilities include:

You will work directly with young carers aged 5 and up to achieve positive outcomes, identifying and preventing inappropriate caring responsibilities through whole-family assessments and reviews and ensuring that young carers and their families have access to a range of emotional and practical support appropriate to their needs. You’ll also work closely with the Young Carers Team Leader to support the delivery of our young carers activities programme.

We are looking for someone who has a real passion about our mission and with proven ability in communicating sensitively with children, young people and their families.  You will have excellent organisational skills and be proficient in the use of IT.  You will need to be available for occasional evening and weekend work.

You will have experience working with vulnerable children and young people and will have a strong grasp of the realities of being a young carer in an inner city London borough.

You will bring your management experience of providing services to women experiencing Domestic Violence and Abuse including VAWG. You will have substantial delivery of collaborative working with external agencies, stakeholders, subcontracted partners and extensive management of frontline workers
