We are looking for a Grants Coordinator (Applications) to join our Grants and Programmes team, a role which is key to ensuring the smooth running of our grant application processes and making sure funding is delivered efficiently, fairly, and in line with our mission. 

In this role, you will lead on the development and implementation of the Foundation’s processes for encouraging and receiving grant applications, managing the review process, and processing grant awards. You will be responsible for the planning and coordination of grant application rounds across multiple funding programmes and be the first point of contact for applicants and manage the peer review process. You’ll also play a vital role in maintaining and improving grant management system (managed within Salesforce) and contribute to the design and delivery of an inclusive and accessible application processes. 

We are looking for someone with excellent administrative and project coordination skills, strong communication and liaising abilities, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Experience using Salesforce or working in a grant-making environment is highly desirable, but we welcome applicants from a wide range of backgrounds who are ready to learn and grow in the role.

● Responsible for facilitating the learning of Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene course and supporting trainees to complete their online qualification

● Keeping the training kitchen clean to a professional standard and having high
expectations of cleanliness and food hygiene practices from the trainees to prepare
them for a real working environment
● Ensuring a trauma-informed approach to training and championing our trainees at all times.

Programme and Training Management
● Liaising with the second Baking Teacher to coordinate and arrange external masterclass teachers and extra curricular opportunities
● Coordinating with the second Baking Teacher to ensure that all baking ingredients, lunch and equipment are ordered for the week according to the set budget
● Ensuring all recipes are documented according to set guidelines
● Responsible for ensuring Health & Safety standards are followed at all times within the training kitchen
● Following & implementing Luminary Safeguarding Procedures
● Working closely with the Training and Progression Support Team to ensure targets are met, and implementing reflective practice to ensure trainees are receiving the best support and opportunities possible

● Taking part in the appropriate training for the role as suggested by your line manager

• Lead delivery of the Maritime Administration workplan and contribute to wider ITF priorities, campaigns and budgeting.
• Act as a key point of contact for affiliates, external organisations and agencies, ensuring clear and responsive communication.
• Support budget holders by preparing accurate financial information and participating in management account meetings.
• Work collaboratively with other ITF administrative teams to maintain consistent, high-quality service across the organisation.
• Resolve administrative challenges promptly, in consultation with the Maritime Coordinator.
• Prepare and coordinate documents for internal meetings, campaigns and governance bodies.

• Significant experience managing administrative teams, with an inclusive and supportive leadership style.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports and work productively with colleagues at all levels.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, including data analysis and reporting.

About the Role
As Finance Manager, you’ll oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong governance. You’ll manage budgets, forecasts, rent accounting, and reporting to the Board and funders. You’ll also lead a small finance team and collaborate closely with the Director and external accountants to improve systems and drive financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance: income, expenditure, reconciliations, and supplier payments.

• Support the production of management accounts, cashflow reports, and forecasts.

• Lead budgeting and support managers to monitor spending.

• Manage rent accounting, service charges, and housing benefit claims.

• Ensure compliance with Charity Commission, HMRC, Companies House, and funder requirements.

• Line-manage and support two Finance Administrators.

About You

• AAT Level 2 minimum or equivalent.

• At least 5 years’ charity finance management experience.

• Experience with rent accounting, service charges, and housing benefit.

• Strong knowledge of Charity SORP, restricted/unrestricted funds, and financial compliance.

• Skilled in staff management and working with external finance providers.

• High attention to detail, organised, and confident working independently.

• Proficient in financial software and Excel.
