About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Quality Assurance Manager will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the quality and safety of care delivered across our residential School and College services.
 
You will lead on quality improvement, embed compliance and regulatory standards (CQC/Ofsted), and act as a key driver in safeguarding best practices. Using structured audits, inspections, and feedback cycles, you will work closely with teams to ensure excellence in care, safety, and person-centred planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead internal audits across all service areas, reporting findings and driving actions

Role Purpose

RISE strives for a world where people can lead safe, purposeful lives as a result of better relationships within families and communities; where harmful behaviour is marginalised and fewer people, are victims of crime. In order to create safe communities, RISE empowers people to break their cycle of harmful behaviour. RISE’s programmes challenge attitudes and facilitate long-lasting behaviour change and are driven by the belief that people, including children and young people, can make better decisions, given the right support. RISE are specialists in designing and delivering evidence-based, transformative behaviour change courses within the criminal justice system and wider community.

The Advanced Practitioner will manage a caseload of 70% which will involve direct work with service users. The post holder is also required to coach, mentor and develop staff and deliver regular workshops to enhance their skills and expertise in specific area. Additionally, there is a requirement to exercise enhanced responsibilities in relation to conducting specialist risk assessments and work with service users and families. Such responsibilities will include the ability to demonstrate enhanced levels of practice, competence/skills in areas such as direct practice with service users, children and families, multi-agency working, knowledge of organisational systems and processes and the wider social policy context.

The post holder will be required to represent RISE when meeting with external commissioners and key stakeholders, as and when required.

Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery – 70% of workload

• Engage in direct practice with service users, children and families including, where appropriate, co-working with other practitioners (to develop their skills and expertise).
• Use initiative to make decisions to ensure continuity of service delivery.
• Promote and represent RISE Mutual CIC services as required at relevant events.
• Develop excellent relationships with our customers and something like respond positively to their needs.
• Promote high standards of service delivery and lead on internal audits to ensure the quality assurance framework is adhered to.
• Liaise with statutory, voluntary and private sector organisations and participate and facilitate multi-disciplinary and inter-agency working (including involvement in case conferences and reviews). This includes prisons.
• Support the practitioners in arranging cover where there is advance warning of absence and keep the Service Manager informed.

Record Keeping

• Support the day-to-day delivery of key projects.
• Maintain clear records of work undertaken and ensure service integrity.
• Establish and maintain methods to monitor suitability and risk assessments and share good practice.
• Complete specialist risk assessments, and reports and upload on the CRM system.
• Support practitioners to record information effectively on CRM system and follow the RISE recording convention.

Product Design and Development

• Partake in design and development of new interventions, including writing an associated manual and training programme.
• Train identified RISE practitioners to deliver specific interventions, whether this is one-to-one or programmes.
• Be responsible for testing/piloting and familiarisation of new intervention and overseeing delivery of facilitators assigned to the contract.
• Act as main point of contact as the technical expert on the project.
• Attend performance review meetings and deputise if required by the Service Manager or Team leader.

Quality Assurance

• in line with the Quality Assurance Framework, quality assure services and programmes being delivered on the contracts, according to the QA Framework in line with recognised procedures.
• Support practitioners to adhere to a quality assurance framework to ensure there is synergy with the delivery of key performance indicators.
• Ensure effective planning for the delivery of the intervention to achieve quality standards and meet contract requirements.
• Support staff to deliver quality assessments, reports and achieve good outcomes with service users.
• Provide support and advice to other team members in relation to their practice and professional development which may include coaching and mentoring staf.

Evidence & Research

• Design intake/exit questionnaires to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
• Evaluate the effectiveness of a specific intervention on an ongoing basis, using intake/exit questionnaires, stakeholder, and service user feedback, and adapt it accordingly.
• Support and assist colleagues with the implementation of the Evidence & Research framework for these contracts. Work with research institutions that partner with RISE to contribute to the evaluation of the impact of our new programmes and services.
• Build good thought leadership in a particular area of work delivered within RISE.

Learning and Development

• Deliver training for commissioners and RISE staff.
• Deliver coaching and support workshops and/or Action Learning sets to help staff develop and improve skills, competence and knowledge in RISE interventions.
• Support staff to develop their cultural competence and understanding of culturally informed approaches.
• Contribute to the learning and development of students and others as required. Arrange training, with support from the Service Manager, as requested.

Stakeholder relationships / Performance

• Liaise and share important information with relevant stakeholders and partners to ensure an integrated approach to risk management.
• Liaise with relevant professional agencies involved with the Service User as per data sharing agreements and relevant legislation.

Other duties

• The Advanced Practitioner will also be expected to attend to his/her professional development through training, supervision and learning.
• Undertake other duties as may be required which are commensurate with the grade and nature of the post.
• Cover for other posts as appropriate, and willingness to be trained in new interventions.

Purpose of the role:

This new role will play a key part in delivering Unseen’s fundraising and communications strategy. We’re looking for a passionate, creative communicator to help grow our supporter base and maximise income to support our work to end modern slavery.

1. Working with service users (either in the community or within safehouses, depending on the need at appointment of the role) to identify support needs and creating a journey plan to lead them towards recovery and independence.

This is a strategic and creative role at the heart of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People’s national fundraising and engagement efforts. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of national community and challenge event programmes across all four UK regions (England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland).

Using strong project and campaign management skills, the role will grow existing initiatives charity owned initiatives such as the Great British Dog Walk and the 28 Challenge and develop new, audience-led campaigns that inspire public participation, drive fundraising, and deepen long-term engagement with the charity.

In addition to the owned initiatives, the role will promote Hearing Dogs for Deaf People to participants of external national events such as The Great North Run or the London Marathon.

Kempton Steam Museum, operated by Kempton Great Engines Trust, is home to the world's largest operational triple-expansion steam engine, which supplied water to much of London until 1980. Our project, Kempton: Clean Water for Life - reaching a wider audience, is made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we aim to transform Kempton Steam Museum’s engagement with visitors and the local community, while enhancing support for volunteers and care of collections.

The part-time Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, training, and coordinating the volunteers who support the museum's operations, engineering activities and visitor experience. They will develop documentation including a volunteer agreement, handbook and role profiles and ensure that volunteers are effectively integrated into the museum's activities and that their contributions are recognised and valued. The Person

You're confident in presenting to Boards and donors, and proficient in financial systems such as Sun Systems, SAP Concur, QuickBooks or Sage. Advanced Excel skills are essential. Fluency in English is required, and proficiency in French or Spanish is highly desirable.

You will be working in a caring home environment with the wider team under the leadership of the Registered Manager, nurturing, and supporting the young people providing them with all the care, love, and support that they would receive as if it was their family home.

Location : Romiley, Stockport 

Hours: 37.5 Hours

Sleep in shift paid at £100.80 per shift

Weekends paid 25% premium on hourly rate.

The Role;

• Provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of the young people. This will include supporting less experienced staff via positive and effective teamwork to achieve high quality standards of care that are set and agreed by the Registered Manager on behalf of the Trust. This work will aim to respect and promote the needs of each young person arising from their racial, cultural and religious background.
• Assist with the assessments of need and formulation of plans. This involves working in partnerships with other agencies and taking into account the wishes and feelings of the young people, their parents and other persons with parental responsibility, in line with legislation pertaining to the young people.
• Maximise educational opportunities and achievements for the young people looked after within the unit by assisting in identifying, establishing and supporting educational provision and contributing to educational reviews.
• Undertake primary responsibility for key working at least one young person of a more complex nature.
• Undertake the supervision of less experienced residential staff and/or ancillary staff in accordance with Together Trust Policies & Procedures as directed by the Registered Manager.
• Assist with the planning and preparation of the shift rotas.

About you;

• Good standard of written and oral English
• QCF(NVQ level 3) in health and social care (CCYP) or equivalent or willingness to achieve award within timescales set by trust
• Working in a residential setting, undertaking the full range of duties in a well planned way that respects and values the young people as individuals.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write reports
• Working with young people and an understanding of the issues affecting them.

Context:

CAP is a national charity that is driven to help release people from debt, poverty and their causes through partnering with local churches.  We do this by providing a variety of services: CAP Debt Help, CAP Job Clubs, CAP Release Groups and CAP Life Skills.  We also help churches teach basic budgeting and money management skills through our CAP Money course.  Our debt help service involves holding client assets. CAP is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. The continued success of our work rests on a bedrock of vital background functions, which includes the finance department.

Purpose:

The finance department is going through an exciting period of transformation. Working alongside the Chief Financial Officer and the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will help shape the strategy and delivery of excellent forward-facing financial planning, statutory and regulatory reporting, costing and client asset management.

This role will be responsible for identifying opportunities for continuous improvement whilst driving efficiencies across the finance department. Taking ownership of providing potential solutions to enable us to strengthen our core financial processes, from both a systems and process perspective, whilst encouraging thought and challenge around our current ways of working.

This role will take accountability for the oversight and management control of the Finance Operations team, providing outstanding customer service to both our internal and external customers and stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

• Build and develop a strong finance operations function with robust internal and external controls through active line management and regular training

• Drive the annual statutory reporting process - developing a clear timeline, planning and negotiating with our internal communications team to deliver a high quality annual report for Trustee approval and sign off

• Lead the external audit process, negotiating fees, timetables and take the lead role in all meetings with the Audit Partner and their team. Use judgement to consider whether audit responses should be challenged or accepted. Prepare action plans and report audit findings to the Finance, Audit & Risk Committee.

• Oversee the CASS annual audit process, which includes negotiating fees, timetables and take the lead role in all meetings with the Audit Partner and their team. • Develop and deliver comprehensive and insightful regular balance sheet reporting and forecasting (capital expenditure, cashflow, liabilities and reserves) to support the financial sustainability of CAP, highlighting risks or opportunities to enable informed decision making by Executive Team and the Board

• Identify and implement process and system improvements, shaping and improving the effectiveness of the finance operations team. 

• Take the leading role in the finance ledger system replacement procurement, design & implementation

• Provide support to ensure key operational and financial targets are delivered

• Develop, recommend and implement cash and capital management systems and reporting

• Provide assessments of capital expenditure business cases and strategic opportunities to support and influence decision making

• Support the month end and annual accounting processes to ensure accurate reporting of the financial performance

• Advise the Chief Financial Officer on technical areas of expertise, undertaking research as required, in particular financial reporting, VAT and tax.

• Provide financial accounting advice and support to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis in the preparation of budgets

• Submission of all mandatory external surveys and reports as required by deadlines (ONS, FCA etc)

Job Title: People and Culture Business Partner - Organisational Change 

Location: Based in our Central office in Islington, around a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station. You will also be able to work from home and will be required to make regular visits to our services. Please note that step free access is not available at our central office and some of our other services.

Salary: £44,000

Shift Pattern: Fixed Term contract approximately 8 months, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 09:00 - 17:00. You may also be required to work evenings and outside these hours to provide flexibility to our night run services. 

About the role

We're seeking an all rounded generalist to join our People and Culture team to support specifically in around areas of organisational change, mainly in relation to managing mobilisations, TUPE, staff consultations and growth. You will use your previous experience in these areas to manage the process of organisational change, working alongside the wider P&C team and managers across the organisation. Some key responsibilities in this role includes:

• Provide high quality support, leadership and guidance to managers and staff for change projects from start to finish.
• Support with matters of employee relations, escalations, and cross specialist areas.
• Provide advice and guidance to colleagues and stakeholders to successfully deliver legally compliant, compassionate, and robust organisational change processes.
• Maintain effective project management resources and timelines.
• Ensure all staff have access to meaningful and accessible employment advice and access to appropriate information, documents, and other resources.
• Ensure all employee life cycle administration, advice, and support is completed and provided to standards.
• Partner with relevant managers and project leads to understand resourcing needs, then support to deliver end-to-end recruitment and onboarding to fulfil staffing needs.

About you

We are looking for someone who has experience in coaching and advising managers and colleagues with legal and internal obligations in relation to HR, you would have proven experience in a similar role at a similar level with responsibilities to this position. You will be a team player, confident in your skills and ability, and able to build rapport with others. Confidentiality will be at the core of what you do, and you will be able to take an objective standpoint to provide the correct advise to others. You will have: 

• Experience in managing mobilisations, TUE, de-mobilisations, redundancy consultations, change consultation, and project management
• Working knowledge and understanding of HR procedures and basic employment law practices, and how it applies under UK employment legislation
• Experience in coaching and advising managers in employee relations activities across the full lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, required learning packages and general ER case work
• Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities within a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including relationship building
• Attention to detail and quality, with organisation skills
