About You
Parentkind has been highly successful in fundraising, delivering 5/6/7/8 figure opportunities during this, its first year of fundraising. In the role of Policy and Public Affairs Officer you will contribute to the development of St Mungo’s public affairs and policy plans, ensuring that our clients are at the heart of all our influencing work to central and beyond.
You will coordinate public affairs work, creating opportunities to influence national and local government policy; helping achieve our organisational goal to rebuild lives and end rough sleeping for good. Other key responsibilities will include:
- Organising public affairs activities that support the organisation’s overall policy influencing objectives.
- Working closely with other teams to ensure public affairs activity is timely, consistent and, where appropriate, joined up with other external communications.

Stepping Stones exists to improve the lives of adults with learning disabilities. We are seeking an enthusiastic and agile manager who will be at the heart of the organisation and will lead a small team of qualified tutors and volunteers in continuing to provide high quality experiences for the people who attend. We also have activities off site including gardening at a local allotment and music and art classes at a day centre and residential home. Each week over 100 people benefit from our activities.

Join Dementia UK as a Compliance and Quality Assurance Manager helping to champion effective compliance including finance, fundraising and clinical governance requirements. AdviceUK makes a big impact. Its stakeholder, policy and advocacy work is across devolved nations as well as the UK. They support members, so it is easier for them to help their clients, and by directly influencing policy-makers, decision-makers and funders. The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will have at least 2 years' experience of delivering impactful policy and public affairs activities in a similar role, and experience and/or an understanding of the social welfare advice sector, the issues faced by advice providers and the communities they serve. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering proactive stakeholder management and working with partners to deliver policy goals and/or research activity. You will have experience of commissioning or delivering research and insight products and effective communication of research and insight activity to raise profile and amplify policy and advocacy goals. You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with peers, managers, members, partners and suppliers, with strong analytical, decision-making and organisational skills. Summary of the role:
The HR Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day HR operations, focusing on delivering high-quality HR services. The role oversees employee relations, employee experience, learning and development, reward, resourcing, talent management, people analytics, EDI, wellbeing and payroll. The HR Manager will ensure the effective execution of HR processes and the maintenance of HR good practices across Muslim Aid, with a specific focus on using HR metrics to inform strategic decisions.

- Oversee and manage all aspects of HR operations, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational policies.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they receive all necessary training and introductions to Muslim Aid policies.

- A minimum of three years’ major donor fundraising experience for a charity.
- Proven track record of securing five-figure and six-figure gifts from major donors.
- Experience of providing excellent stewardship to major donors.
- Excellent communication skills, especially verbal and written English
- Writing compelling funding applications/ proposals that match donors’ interests with CSW’s mission and activities.

JOB SUMMARY
The post holder will managing and lead the effective high quality delivery of the Grief Encounter therapeutic services, including online services, through a team of Therapists, Clinical Supervisors, placement students and volunteers.
They will assist the Director of Clinical Services (DCS) in implementing and developing the therapeutic element including intensive therapeutic support, projects, budgets and service planning. This will include:
- Leading, implementing and developing therapeutic projects and service planning.
- Managing Grief Encounter therapists, supervisors, volunteers and placement students.
- Conducting assessments with families, supporting practitioners with complex cases in liaison with supervisors and delivering training.
- Ensuring appropriate safeguarding policies and guidance are being adhered to across all services, responding to safeguarding concerns and ensuring practitioners understand their safeguarding responsibilities.
- Working with the Bereavement Support Team to ensure the efficient and appropriate management of referral pathways.

Through management of the policy and public affairs function in Northern Ireland, the Policy & Public Affairs Manager will ensure the Trussell Trust strengthens its influence in Northern Ireland and helps bring about the policy changes required to end the need for food banks.
Using specialist policy knowledge about the structural causes of poverty and hunger in Northern Ireland and the UK, and sound political and procedural knowledge, the Policy & Public Affairs Manager will ensure our policy influencing has a robust evidence base and manage advocacy strategies to achieve policy change at different levels of government, with a particular focus on national government in NI (Stormont) and ensuring close alignment with the Trussell Trust’s work to influence the UK Government (Westminster).

Strategy: Support the Northern Ireland Network Lead in the development and delivery of the Changing Policy strand of the Trussell Trust’s organisational strategy, with a specific focus on the role of key stakeholders in NI in ending the need for food banks, and supporting the alignment of policy advocacy across the UK nations and regions.
