About the role

Sightsavers are embarking on a major new programme to advance inclusive development and empower young people with disabilities across Africa, placing a strong focus on young women. The programme centres on creating access to dignified and meaningful employment for youth with disabilities, aligning with broader strategies to promote economic opportunities for underrepresented groups.

Sightsavers’ DART Governance team are looking to recruit a DHIS2 Development Lead, to join their team for a two-year period. In the initial phase, the post-holder will be responsible for the end-to-end configuration, testing, and roll-out of the tracker tool, ensuring it meets programme and organisational requirements for data quality, privacy, and reporting. This role offers occasional travel throughout the tenure and is available in Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia or Ghana. The role can be full time or worked on a four-day week.

If you have experience working with multi-country, multi-project DHIS2 tracker implementations, and can translate user requirements into clean DHIS2 configurations and iterative releases then this could be a great career opportunity for you to take up.

Key accountabilities but not limited to:

• Lead the requirements gathering, design, configuration, and deployment of the DHIS2 Tracker tool for the economic empowerment programme.

• Build and optimise programme rules, data elements, option sets, workflows, and analytics to support individual and aggregate reporting.

• Pilot and validate the tracker with country teams; oversee user acceptance testing and iterative improvements.

• Establish and enforce data quality rules, validation constraints, completeness checks and exception monitoring.

• Define data management protocols and ensure alignment with organisational data governance.

• Implement privacy-by-design: data minimisation, role-based access, secure exports, and ethical handling of personally identifiable data.

• Work with DART Data Governance team to connect DHIS2 Tracker data to the Azure ODS/analytics layer. 

• Ensure metadata, data catalogues and indicator calculations align to organisational standards.

• Work with DART Data Use team to develop analytics tools for data quality and analysis, and to support project monitoring by MEL and programme management unit.

Knowledge, skills and experience as the DHIS2 Development Lead

Essential:

• Demonstrable hands-on DHIS2 experience delivering Tracker/Event programmes at scale.

• Either considerable working experience as a DHIS2 development lead, or a recognised qualification/degree in information systems, data management, computer science, public health informatics or similar.

• Strong understanding of designing and organising data structures, including defining and managing data elements and their relationships.

• Experience with unique identifier (ID/key) management and applying quality assurance methods to ensure accuracy and reliability of individual-level data.

• Experience working with multi-country programmes and diverse, non-technical user groups.

• Understanding of data privacy/ethics and safeguarding in systems that hold personally identifiable data.

You’ll be the face of the Foundation in the area, able to build strong and trusting relationships and be an advocate for community organisations across the patch. You’ll have a good understanding of the operating environment in the North East & Cumbria with well-established networks across the patch. You will also play a pivotal role in sharing learning, intelligence and insights to ensure the Foundations’ strategy development, delivery and relationship with the Lloyds Banking Group considers regional needs and the operating context of our funded partners.

The ideal candidate

To be considered for this role, you should be able to:

• Provide outreach and in-reach support to people affected by substance use across Tower Hamlets, including those who may have a history of rough sleeping, be vulnerably housed, or otherwise disconnected from mainstream services.

• Carry out person-centred assessments and work collaboratively with service users to develop support and recovery plans.

• Make timely and appropriate referrals to specialist services (e.g. treatment, health, housing, and social care) to ensure holistic support.

• Develop strong working relationships with partner agencies to coordinate joint support and reduce barriers to engagement.

• Promote harm reduction and recovery-focused approaches, ensuring that people are empowered in their choices.

• Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the Reset service.

About the Role

The Curriculum Leads are responsible for developing new content and updating existing content to ensure that it is accessible, curriculum-aligned and fun to help promote positive parent-child interactions. The Early Years role will continue the development of our school readiness programme, Ready Teddy beyond its pilot phase to ensure that it has the greatest impact on the schools and families that use it.

We see this person being our Early Years Lead initially focussed on the development of Ready Teddy as a full programme, in the future they will have the opportunity to explore other early years programmes we may seek to undertake.

Core areas of responsibility

Ready Teddy Programme Design

• Use existing evaluation findings to expand on the current Ready teddy programme content.
• Build on the programme structure from the pilot to create a full programme design
• Ensure the Ready Teddy Programme links well with our other programme to maintain coverage beyond it
• Design and implement the logistic elements of the Ready Teddy Programme

Content development

• Plan scope of content required, both in terms of creating new content and updating existing content.
• Use subject and pedagogical knowledge to design and create new activities for the website which align to the curriculum for Early Years.
• Ensure that all activities promote fun parent-child interactions and will be accessible to and engage disadvantaged families.
• Maintain and update the content database.
• Review existing topics and activities to identify areas for improvement on an ongoing basis.
• Develop new supporting materials, including PDFs and imagery, and update existing materials as required.
• Write or contribute to external programmatic materials that explain our pedagogical approach.
• Work with the wider teams, for example tech or schools, to ensure the programmes are delivered to all users in a consistent way.
• Keep up to date with sector developments and changes in curriculum.
• Feed into and support evaluation of our programmes.

Filming content

• Manage the logistics of filming, including agreeing dates with schools, securing appropriate permissions, booking travel and follow up communications.
• Plan and script videos and create or provide resources needed for filming.
• Work with school age children and their parents to film the videos and lead the filming day(s) within the school environment.
• Own the relationship with the videographer to film all videos and ensure the completed videos are delivered within agreed timescales.
• Oversee the editing and subtitling of new videos
• Quality assure videos

Organisational input

• Feed into or lead on partnership discussions where relevant based on content and curriculum expertise.
• Based on content and curriculum expertise, feed into strategic discussions as required.
• Contribute to organisational conversations outside of the programme content when required.

Represent the charity externally

• Represent the charity at external events such as conferences or forums where there is opportunity.
• Network and build relationships that are placed to support our work and share knowledge around parental engagement.
• Present at events such as webinars where relevant based on content and curriculum expertise.
• Write external facing materials for example reports or blogs where relevant.

About You

A successful Curriculum Lead – Early Years will be eager to work in a small team, have a can-do attitude, and be keen to get stuck in to support the charity’s growth and impact.

Role Description

The Funding and Insights Officer supports the Head of Funding and Partnerships (HFP) in delivering HACT’s fundraising and income generation objectives in line with the organisation’s business strategy. This role focuses on identifying new business and funding opportunities, conducting market, sector and competitor research, and generating actionable insights to support HACT’s marketing, customer engagement, and income generation strategies.

The postholder will play a key role in shaping HACT’s understanding of the external environment, including trends in housing, social impact, and innovation. Reporting to the HFP, they will contribute to fundraising applications to trusts, foundations, and corporates, support the services team in developing compelling and proposals for HACT’s research and consultancy work, and carry out desk-based market research to inform the activities of the marketing and customer teams.

The role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while prioritising effectively to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Conduct market, sector and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks relevant to HACT’s programmes and services
• Produce intelligence reports and briefings to inform marketing campaigns, customer outreach, and strategic planning
• Identify and assess potential funders, partners, and clients aligned with HACT’s mission and services
• Support the HFP in preparing proposals, funding applications, and sponsorship pitches
• Support the HFP to produce compelling performance and evaluation reports for funders and other donors
• Maintain and update a bank of proposal templates and sector insights
• Support the services team in the development of professionally written proposals
• Collaborate with marketing and customer teams to target organisations and contacts for campaigns
• Use CRM systems to track business development activities, monitor proposal and funding application progress, and report key metrics

A few practical things

• This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work from a YE office (London or Oxford) at least 8 times per month
• The role will involve travel to events, typically at schools, which take place during term time, however some evening working may also be required.

Kinship is the leading kinship care charity in England and Wales. We work with all kinship carers – the grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and family friends who step up to raise children when their parents can’t. 

We’re excited to be launching Kinship Reach in Staffordshire, a completely new contract that will extend our trusted support to many more kinship families. Reach is delivered entirely online, offering tailored one-to-one and group support that is flexible, accessible and rooted in kinship carers’ lived experience. 

As a Kinship Family Worker, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support through a digital model that fits around carers’ lives. You will: 

• Complete online family assessments and develop tailored support plans. 

• Provide emotional and practical support over a structured intervention period. 

• Run online group sessions that build connection, confidence and community. 

• Help carers access wider services and community assets in Staffordshire and beyond. 

• Work closely with our partners in Staffordshire to ensure families receive the right support at the right time.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

The Humane League is seeking a self-motivated, organized, collaborative individual with the drive to create progressive change for millions of farmed animals as part of our Global Corporate Engagement team. As Temporary Global Corporate Engagement Coordinator, you will support global corporate engagement work by recording and maintaining data on cage-free and broiler chicken welfare policies and providing crucial administrative support to the team. You will manage our research databases and conduct research on food companies, finding corporate policies, company contacts, and other information to inform global campaigns and corporate relations work. You will also work closely with members of the Open Wing Alliance (OWA), our global coalition of animal protection groups, to share data and progress, and you’ll coordinate with member organizations and/or third parties to translate global commitments into key languages. 

You are passionate about The Humane League’s mission of ending the abuse of animals raised for food and are keen to use data to support this work. While working autonomously is an important part of this role, the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders will also be paramount to your success. You are able to work independently and as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment, and you bring the organizational skills needed to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently. This position reports to the Director of Global Corporate Engagement.

This is a temporary, full-time, remote position, beginning in late February and ending in late August. The duration may be extended or shortened at The Humane League’s discretion. The temporary hire will provide coverage while a permanent staff member is on maternity leave, with overlap for training and onboarding. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update and maintain THL’s global commitment tracking database by transferring,  fact-checking, and proofreading data submitted by other animal welfare organizations. Keep policy information, corporate contacts, translations, and other details up to date in the database and other tracking documents so that progress and statistics can be shared internally and externally.
• Maintain our database of country-level cage-free information to inform global corporate relations work. Track relevant information on countries’ cage-free status, major commitments, legislation, and more. 
• Work with the OWA to collect key language translations of global cage-free and broiler chicken commitments so that groups around the world can leverage commitments in their respective regions.
• Assist with setting the Global Corporate Engagement team’s strategy, bringing a data lens to inform strategic decisions. 
• Independently perform research on food companies to support global campaigns and corporate negotiations, finding details such as executive contact information, existing animal welfare policies, corporate brand portfolios, worldwide locations, and more. 
• Refine the team’s list of hundreds of global companies in order to identify the top companies to prioritize. Annually update data on the top global companies, tracking their revenue, number of locations, countries of operation, welfare commitments, and more.
• Carry out administrative duties for team meetings including scheduling, agenda creation, note-taking, and facilitation. 
• Create presentations for OWA corporate engagement webinars. Co-lead presentations and provide tech support as needed.

Across programme quality and implementation, you will be a specialist resource for teams working in humanitarian and development contexts, offering targeted technical guidance that supports country programmes to deliver to ActionAid’s humanitarian signature: shifting power, accountability to affected communities, and women-led resilience. To succeed in this role, you will bring substantial experience of working in humanitarian contexts on resilience and climate programming, ideally with an international organisation. You should have a deep understanding of humanitarian architecture, key donors, and external standards, as well as hands-on experience with resilience approaches such as disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation, sustainable agriculture or natural resource management. A strong grounding in feminist and human-rights-based approaches is essential, along with a clear understanding of anti-racism and what it means to decolonise aid in practice. You should be comfortable supporting teams, conducting analysis, generating research, communicating complex ideas with clarity, and representing an organisation publicly. The role will also require regular overseas travel, sometimes to insecure environments at short notice.

A postgraduate degree, experience in Africa, Asia or the Middle East, additional languages and academic publications are all beneficial but not essential.

About Cosmic 

Cosmic is a small but mighty children’s charity, dedicated to supporting the incredible work of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith. We provide vital funding for life-saving equipment, specialist staff training, pioneering research, and family support services - helping to make a real difference for children and families when they need it most.

We’re looking for a passionate and creative Marketing and Communications Manager to help us tell Cosmic’s story, engage our incredible supporters, and grow our reach and impact. You’ll play a key part in raising Cosmic’s profile, supporting fundraising campaigns, and keeping our community connected through engaging and impactful communications.

Key Responsibilities

External Communications

• Collaborate with the team to develop a communications plan to support Cosmic’s calendar of events, income generation and volunteering, taking ownership of its implementation.
• Manage supporter communications through platforms like Mailchimp, including scheduling updates and mail merges.
• Produce and manage the production and distribution of the charity’s supporter newsletter, corporate newsletter, and other direct marketing materials.
• Develop a GDPR compliant method to gather data from families who benefit from Cosmic Service Delivery, to support conversion to fundraising via a Cosmic communication plan and supporter journey
• Create and execute engaging campaigns for Cosmic, based on our service delivery, to generate income.
• Liaise with celebrity partners to coordinate media campaigns.
• Develop and maintain a bank of photographs and ensure media consent forms are obtained and recorded appropriately.
• Assist fundraising teams in sourcing free advertising opportunities for events, such as community group emails and online platforms.
• Working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and maximise media opportunities and campaigns that help raise awareness of the Cosmic’s services
• Writing press releases for local, regional and national press covering Cosmic service delivery, events and fundraising campaigns.
• Plan and execute events designed for stewardship and engagement alongside the Cosmic Events Team.
• Support in the development and delivery of the Cosmic ambassador strategy

Internal Communications

• Work closely with supporters, NHS staff, and the NHS Imperial Trust to gather compelling patient, family, unit, and staff stories for promotional purposes.
• Be a visible presence on the wards, building relationships to develop case studies, improve communication, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
• Keep charity notice boards updated with promotional material.
• Contribute to the quarterly Trustee report.
• Ensure that all communication is clearly logged on the Cosmic CRM solution, Donorfy.

Digital

• Manage Cosmic’s social media channels, developing and implementing a consistent and engaging social media plan to promote the charity’s work, events, and fundraising initiatives effectively.
• Digital transformation of the Cosmic website and other digital channels with a consistent and clear brand, ensuring optimal user experience.
• Create engaging and consistent digital designs for all marketing materials on Canva.

Branding and Merchandising

• Design and create a new range of fundraising merchandise and marketing materials to promote the Cosmic brand.
• Support the fundraising team by developing high-quality materials for proposals, events, and activities, and assist in promoting these initiatives.
• Develop and formalise a clear Cosmic Tone of Voice and charity branding, establishing guidelines for how Cosmic presents itself both internally and externally to ensure consistency and alignment with its mission and values.
• Build a Cosmic library of “curated content” with aligned descriptions of who we are and what we do, tailored for different audiences.
• Ensure all internal templates (letterheads, email signatures etc) use the correct colour palette, format and logo.

Administration

• Build a process to balance and prioritise the requirements and request for digital, marketing and communication support from the Cosmic Team
• Respond effectively to incoming telephone calls and emails, ensuring all inquiries are handled professionally.
• Maintain and update the charity’s database of contacts and supporters, taking the lead in implementing changes to improve data recording and analysis.
• Provide support to charity volunteers during activities.
• Develop engaging and relevant supporter journeys using Cosmic audience personas.
• Regular development and gathering of Cosmic case study materials.
• Evaluate the success of campaigns, setting and tracking key metrics, feeding learnings back into future work in a cycle of continuous improvement.
• Prepare and deliver regular, meaningful reporting on communications, to assist and drive strategic communications and marketing decision making.

General

• Build relationships across Cosmic, NHS units, and key stakeholders to identify opportunities for collaboration.
• Stay informed about fundraising sector trends and identify ways to apply them to Cosmic’s work.
• Undertake any other tasks commensurate with the role, adhering to the charity’s time-in-lieu policy.
• Support PICU/NICU with day-to-day needs, including celebrating milestones, organising activities, or assisting families with specific requirements.

Who We’re Looking For

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a marketing or communications role, ideally working within the charity sector.
• Proven success designing and delivering communications plans and campaigns.
• Experience of successfully pitching stories or collaborations to media, journalists and influencers.
• Understanding of how to create engaging content – both written and visual.
• Understanding of how to develop opportunities for coverage and know how to make them happen, and of media and communication trends, with the ability to stay ahead of the curve.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging content for diverse audiences.
• Strong digital storytelling skills.
• Experience in creating marketing materials in Canva and managing communications campaigns.
• Experience of managing social media channels, creating content that drive results
• Experience of using WordPress, Mailchimp and CRM solutions.
• Confidence in liaising with stakeholders, including NHS staff, supporters, and celebrity partners.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of GDPR and data protection best practices.
• A genuine passion for Cosmic’s mission and values.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Experience in developing case studies
• Previous experience in a charity or fundraising environment.
