About the role:
The Social Worker or Senior Social Worker’s role is a pivotal one within our Adoption service. Some of your responsibilities will include:
· undertaking ‘home study’ assessments (PARs) and present these to the adoption panel
· support families throughout the matching process and once children are placed, up until the Adoption Order
· taking part in recruitment activities and training for prospective adopters
About you:
As a Social Worker, you’ll bring a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in childcare social work and an understanding of child development and the impact on behaviour of interrupted development.
As a Senior Social Worker, you’ll bring a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in childcare social work, and previous experience of completing adoption assessments (or similar), or family finding/supporting children in their adoptive families.

The Chartered College of Teaching is currently working on a number of exciting projects, and is looking for an EdTech Evidence Lead who will play a key role in the success of these projects. The Opportunity
The EdTech Evidence Lead will play a key role in delivering one of our key projects, focusing on EdTech Evidence. Drawing on their experience and knowledge of EdTech, they will support EdTech companies and educators to build understanding about gathering and evaluating evidence for different EdTech products. They will develop guidance and materials to facilitate this, and work with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to develop resources, systems and processes that aim to promote and recognise ‘high-quality’ evidence around EdTech.
Main responsibilities include:
- Developing tools and resources to support individuals and organisations to engage with, and in, gathering and evaluating evidence around EdTech
- Developing guidance and training which helps EdTech companies plan and carry out evidence-gathering activities for their products and prepares them to submit evidence for formal review
- Contributing to the development and delivery of processes and systems for formally reviewing EdTech evidence
- Build relationships with EdTech companies and other key stakeholders to understand their use of evidence relating to EdTech and engage them with the project
- Liaising with a range of stakeholders to promote the use of EdTech evidence and seek input into the design and development of key project deliverables
- Representing the project externally to promote engagement with both the project, and with EdTech evidence generally

About the role:
The Social Care IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy, and support service to ensure the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process, specialising in working with women whose families are involved with Family Children Services and risk to children is a factor. You will work to make proactive contact and provide high quality advocacy and support based upon a client led needs and risk assessment to women, focusing on working with those aged 18 and over who access the domestic abuse service. This role is part advocacy, part training/education and project work to improve response to victim/survivors experiencing domestic abuse. You will be embedded in the local authority Family Children Services team, working with Social Care professionals to ensure they adopt a trauma informed approach, can recognise the dynamics of domestic abuse and are providing more holistic support. You will be the domestic abuse subject matter expert on site, upskilling fellow professionals and acting as a point of contact for any clients experiencing domestic abuse and support requirements from Family Children Services.
The Social Care project was established in 2021 and has been working in partnership with Hammersmith and Fulham Family Children Services, so the IDVAs will inherit strong working relationships and a commitment from all parties to offering more trauma-informed services. The borough has a focus on prioritising and developing good DA work in social care and this is an opportunity to be a major player in institutional change, ensuring that women accessing Family Children services for their children have an improved experience and that the local authorities are leading the way for all survivors engaging with their services.
Advance delivers nationally accredited, quality marked services in Hammersmith & Fulham, Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Brent, Ealing, and across parts of East London. We work within a coordinated partnership response to domestic violence to provide independent domestic violence advocacy and support for women, children and young people and women’s community services for women who are involved in the criminal justice system, in anti-social behaviour or are at risk of breaking the law.
About You:
You will have an excellent understanding of domestic violence and its effects on women and children and of best practice within the domestic abuse in various areas of need, with particular knowledge on children safeguarding/legislation. As an experienced domestic violence advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with female survivors of domestic violence, of supporting women with child safeguarding, needs, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.
To be successful as the Social Care IDVA you will need the below experience and skills:
- You will establish positive, proactive, and innovative working relationships with housing services and partner agencies.Provide high-quality crisis intervention, information, advocacy, and proactive support to women referred to the service, in respect to risk management and safety planning, criminal and civil remedies, housing, health, welfare rights, and children’s legislation.
- Your abilities extend to assessing the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support and identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs.Advising women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies and proactively advocate to ensure barriers to accessing support and protection are reduced. You will work as an advocate and educator to raise awareness and upskill professionals within Children Social Care plus work with colleagues to successfully develop and deliver training.

The Library holds over 60,000 catalogued items, including the largest collection of type specimens in the world. St Bride Foundation (SBF) is seeking a Collections and Archives Manager with strong project management and collections management skills to support the development, preservation, and accessibility of our library and archive collections. The Collections and Archives Manager will manage the smooth running of the Reading Room, library enquiry services and manage our library volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
Access, Research & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support public and internal access to collection materials by providing research services and developing user-friendly finding aids.

Project Management – Collection

Champs Camp was the first successful Black boxing gym in Britain, with Phil Martin, its founder, the UK’s first Black boxing trainer, manager and promoter. Martin revolutionised British boxing during the 1980s and 1990s, introducing new ways of training and transforming the lives of thousands of young men and boys across Greater Manchester in the process. He deliberately challenged the public association of Moss Side with guns and gangs, helping to produce UK and world champions and make Manchester a centre of the sport.
This project will preserve and make publicly accessible the records of a hugely significant but largely unknown episode in UK Black history. Its legacy will be the preservation of a unique and extensive archive of film, photography, and posters, the collection of a wide-ranging oral history, and the production of a permanent digital archive, accessible to anyone including educators, activists and the wider community.
This role is funded by The National Lottery Fund grant and is run by a partnership of the Moss Side Boxing and Athletics Association (MSBAA) and Manchester Histories, with support from staff at the University of Manchester in History and the Research Data Management Support Service. About You and The Role
Working as part of the Health & Care Quality team and within a designated geographical region (Southwest Region, which includes areas such as Hampshire, Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwall and South Wales), the SCI specialist nurse will support those with newly acquired spinal cord injuries who are not admitted to specialist services, or those with established spinal cord injuries who are being re-admitted to hospital for treatment unrelated to their impairment.
Through telephone, email or face-to-face visits the SCI specialist nurse will offer guidance and advice to these individuals and/or their family members, addressing issues of concern associated with treatment and care and liaising on their behalf with healthcare professionals in the treating hospitals to ensure these are dealt with in line with best practice standards.
The SCI specialist nurse will also act as an educator for healthcare professionals involved in the treatment and care of spinal cord injured people and working in non-specialist settings and will contribute to the development and delivery of educational offerings available via the SIA Frank Williams Academy. When required, the SCI nurse specialist will support individuals through elements of the NHS Continuing Health Care assessment process, attending review or appeal hearings in their capacity as clinical specialist in SCI care. They will also contribute to the monitoring, evaluation and development of the SCI specialist nurse service via mechanisms put in place for that purpose.

Quest for Learning is an education charity on a mission to close the gap for primary school children in Oxfordshire who are falling behind - often due to complex and compounding disadvantage.
