THE ROLE

As our new Director of Homes, you will lead our engagement with governments, industry partners, consumer protection bodies, and research organisations to highlight the needs, opportunities, and challenges faced by fuel-poor households.

You will be a member of National Energy Action’s Senior Management Team, helping to shape the strategic direction of the charity. You will lead and support a dedicated team, managing innovative projects designed to deliver meaningful impact.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will oversee the development and delivery of high-profile demonstration projects and ensure that insights and evidence from this work are widely shared. You will also lead our influencing efforts, working with key stakeholders and policymakers to drive lasting change.

As part of our Senior Leadership Team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the organisation to help guide National Energy Action into the future.

About the role:

King George’s is a 68-bed hostel and a key part of Westminster City Council’s Rough Sleepers Pathway, offering support to men with complex needs who have experienced prolonged periods of rough sleeping. Summary

The Lead Strategy and Impact Analyst plays a key role in developing practical, evidence-based policies that support effective mission and ministry approaches within the Church of England's Vision and Strategy priority areas.

In this role, you will analyse and synthesise data from evaluations of funded programmes, commissioned research, and wider social trends, building a coherent evidence base to inform both policy and practice.

As a member of the Insights and Engagement sub-team, you will work collaboratively across departments and teams to:

• Support strategic projects through analysis, reporting, and evaluation

• A salary of £59,248 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

About the role

This role sits within The Passage Housing Needs Service (HNS) team. It will provide brief interventions to support individuals who have been placed into accommodation by the HNS team to settle into and sustain their tenancies. The post holder will work holistically to assist individuals to address issues that are impacting on their ability to sustain their accommodation on a time limited basis and will link them into services in their local areas for ongoing support in order for them to gain independence and integrate into their new communities.

Main duties

• To provide support to individuals who are moving into their new private rented sector accommodation where appropriate and needed. This can include setting up utilities, council tax among other things.
• To establish and develop positive and constructive working relationships with a range of services and agencies across London boroughs that can provide support to our clients ensuring the best possible outcomes for them.
• To assess any risk to clients, the environment and staff, record and communicate any risks identified using appropriate channels in the Passage.
• To ensure accurate and timely record keeping using the Inform database as well as client files and ensure all record keeping and information sharing is kept securely in line with Data protection.
• Support HNS Workers to complete exit questionnaires to gather feedback and promote co production with the individuals the team supports.
• To draw up psychologically informed action plans for clients ensuring they are person centered and taking into consideration the clients’ views.

Key responsibilities

• In conjunction with your Housing Needs Service Coordinator to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.

Main Purpose of Position:

To provide urgent information, advice and guidance support for individuals in dealing with complex interlinked issues through intensive 1-1 personalised support service. Ensure clients are equipped with the knowledge and understanding needed to make a tangible, material difference to their lives. Responsibilities/ Core Duties:

To provide a support service through 1-1 interview sessions, telephone contact, face-to-face and in-depth support with follow-up and record keeping. This post primarily involves providing focused support to help individuals deal with urgent financial, housing, health and benefits issues and provide ongoing support often acting as a conduit, with liaison, advocacy and referral to specialist agencies in health, housing, finance and debt advice, counselling, benefits, domestic violence, immigration and other legal matters. The post-holder must support Nova’s aims, objectives and ethos for clients, staff, senior managers and trustees.

The Director of Finance and Resources is responsible for managing the charity’s finances efficiently and accurately, ensuring that all financial activities are carried out in compliance with statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements. Playing a key role in strategic planning, including planning for future budgets and allocation of resources in collaboration with the CEO and Board, the Director of Finance & Resources also leads on HR and IT for the Trust and supports the implementation of good governance practices. The role oversees the production of monthly management accounts, line-managing the Finance Officer who takes care of day-to-day financial functions. You will provide financial recommendations to the Finance & Audit Committee (which meets quarterly), ensuring that the Trust’s financial practices adhere to statutory regulations and legislation. The Director of Finance & Resources also leads on the Trust’s annual audit and production of Annual accounts, filed with the Charity Commission. For this role you will need to have strong experience in finance, accounting or a related field, demonstrating excellent analytical skills and numerical proficiency alongside capability to think strategically and facility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Our team, Board, volunteers and partners are UK-wide and so meetings and events are held regularly in London and across the country. You will report to the CEO and line manage the Finance Officer. We're hiring a Support Coach to join our Independent Approved Premises, commissioned by Criminal Justice Service (IAP) which works with high risk offenders who have left prison. Penrose Drive is a community setting, rather than custodial where residents can go out in the community if they do not have restrictions on their license. Security is therefore flexible in both design and operation. The team work in a multi disciplinary approach, working alongside probation services, job centres, mental health teams, and other community partners. You will join the team to support in the rehabilitation and reintegration of our residents back into the community. You will engage with them through key working activities to understand their needs and goals, then provide pathways and support to enable them to independence and help reduce reoffending. 

The service hold regular activities in service, in a bright and airy environment. The team work closely with one another and support which achieving overall service KPI's, and you will be part of making a greater change. Everyday looks different so this is perfect for someone who wants a role where no two days are the same. We provide fresh hot meals to our residents which can also be enjoyed by staff.

We're looking for someone who has a background in ciminal justice services, and has a real passion for what we do. Independent Age is the national charity focused on improving the lives of people facing financial hardship in later life. We believe no one should face financial hardship in later life.

Our Helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through our grants programme, we support local organisations working with older people across the UK.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Head of Governance will lead the charity’s small Governance and Risk, and Facilities teams. They are responsible for governance, company secretarial, risk management, health and safety, safeguarding, information governance, procurement and contracts management, business continuity planning, and management of facilities and the charity's office and small portfolio of other properties.

The role would suit someone who enjoys a broad remit and working with colleagues across the charity, who can think around issues and implement pragmatic solutions. As the role has a wide remit, the ability to learn quickly will be key. Candidates will need senior level experience of charity governance, risk management and safeguarding, ideally working with adults at risk. Applicants will need to be good communicators, verbally and in writing.

This role is 0.5FTE (17.5 hours per week). There is some flexibility around how the hours can be worked, but hours would normally be worked across 2.5 days a week, with attendance required at specific times for management and trustee meetings. Office attendance will be required on average 2 days a week for meetings and due to responsibility for office management.

This includes processing invoices, tracking payments and expenses, managing financial documentation, and ensuring compliance with both internal policies and external regulations.

The Bookkeeper plays a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with financial reporting, audit preparation, and supporting senior management in overseeing budgets, payroll, and compliance.

By providing essential administrative support, the Bookkeeper upholds the integrity, efficiency, and transparency of LAH's financial processes, contributing to the overall success, sustainability, and governance of the organisation.
