We're looking for a Day Centre Receptionist, someone who can be the first point of contact at our busy day centre in Camden, where as many as 70 young people a day regularly access for support. Power 2 - Wolverhampton City Council Key Worker Service 

Barnardo's is looking to fill a full time Project Worker 2 post, for 37 hours per week.

Work base: - Graiseley Family Hub, Pool Street, Wolverhampton, WV2 4NE.

 

The primary aims of the team are to work with 11-25yr olds to help them to exert more positive control over their lives and to live safely as they progress towards adulthood.  The team is a multi-disciplinary team with a diverse skill set.

You will work with young people who are at risk of gang exploitation; child sexual exploitation; substance misuse; criminal or anti-social behaviour; those who have been excluded from school or violent towards other people in the home, or those who have been subject to missing episodes.

 

The project aims to make a positive contribution to the Council's wider aims by helping to minimise and manage the risks posed by young people engaging in activities related to drugs, alcohol, child sexual exploitation, criminal behaviour, gangs, radicalisation, and to prevent young people from coming into care, by supporting them to live safely with their families.

 

The worker will be co-located within Wolverhampton Children's Services as a key worker within a multi-disciplinary team. There are a team of 5 key workers currently, including a further 2 Barnardos Project workers. They will use WCC systems (recording, policy, management) alongside employment and line management support from Barnardo's.

The Jobs, Education and Training (JET) team works with young people facing homelessness to support them into meaningful and appropriate employment, training opportunities, apprenticeships, volunteering, and education. These are innovative roles to develop social prescribing in the local NHS. Based in one of the six Primary Care Networks (PCN) you will work in different GP practices across that Network to deliver their specific priorities. You will join a team of ten Social Prescribing Link Workers working in Haringey PCNs and be part of a wider community-based Borough team which offers information, signposting and short-term support across the eight localities in Haringey.
Social prescribing empowers people to take control of their health and wellbeing through referral to non-medical Social Prescribing Link Workers, who give time, focus on ‘what matters to me’ and take a holistic approach, connecting people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support.
Social prescribing can help to strengthen community resilience and personal resilience and reduces health inequalities by addressing the wider determinants of health, such as debt, poor housing and physical inactivity, by increasing people’s active involvement with their local communities. It particularly works for people with long-term conditions (including support for mental health), for people who are lonely or isolated, or have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing.
At the centre of the social prescribing process is the Social Prescribing Link Worker, working with GP Practices in a Primary Care Network, who connects patients who are referred to a range of activities and services in the local area depending on their needs, interests and capacity for engagement. This is a complex role as the SPLW will need to have good interpersonal skills to engage with the patient and have a comprehensive knowledge of the services and activities available in the local area.

About the role

St Albans City and District Council is seeking a skilled Financial Transactions Supervisor to oversee accounts payable, receivable, and cash handling operations. You will supervise a small team, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions and reconciliations. Key responsibilities include monitoring regulatory compliance, guiding team members, and improving procedures. Role Summary 

The Bliss Scotland Baby Charter Programme Officer supports the 14 neonatal units across Scotland to deliver our Bliss Baby Charter programme. The Baby Charter is a national accreditation programme being undertaken by many neonatal units in the UK. It aims to improve outcomes for babies born premature or sick by encouraging neonatal healthcare professionals to involve parents in the care of their baby.

Bliss Scotland was established in 2009 to provide support to the 6,000+ babies born premature or sick in Scotland every year, and their families. Bliss Scotland is part of Bliss, the UK’s leading charity for babies born premature or sick and is registered with the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR).

The Bliss Scotland Baby Charter Programme Officer plays a key role in encouraging neonatal healthcare professionals to improve their practice to ensure parents/families are as involved as possible in the care of their baby. The role supports neonatal units to bring about change and work towards Baby Charter accreditation. This involves assessing neonatal units against national standards using the digital Baby Charter audit tool, delivering assessments and working as part of the Baby Charter team to continually develop and improve processes
 

• Location: Home Based (Scotland) with occasional travel to Neonatal Units across Scotland
• Salary: £29,041 FTE (£17,425 pro-rata for 21 hours)
• Terms: 21 hours a week, fixed term for 1 year

This role is home based, in Scotland, and will require some travel to units across Scotland. We anticipate that the postholder will travel to units roughly once per every 1-2 months. Bliss operates a flexible approach to travel for work and we are open to discussions about frequency and timings of travel

Role Details

This is an excellent opportunity for someone:
•To work with the Programme Lead and other Baby Charter Programme Officers to support units across Scotland, providing feedback on units’ audits and supporting the development of action plans to address identified areas for improvement.
•To lead on the delivery of assessment visits with units. 
•To be an active and involved member of the Bliss Baby Charter team, supporting team members to embed plans in line with Bliss’ strategic aims, and continuously improving what we do. 
•To lead on specific areas of improvement of the Charter.
•To engage effectively with neonatal healthcare professionals across Scotland 
•To work intentionally to tackle health inequalities: supporting the Bliss Baby Charter and other Bliss programmes to work towards more equitable outcomes in neonatal care for all babies and families

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

•Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience of communicating and building relationships with a range of stakeholders, using a high level of professionalism
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Demonstrable time management and organisational skills, and ability to coordinate several tasks at the same time and prioritise effectively across a busy workload
•Understanding of how to use service-user feedback to continuously improve services and innovate
•Attention to detail, and experience of capturing and reporting on progress

Communications and Programmes Officer

Salary: £30,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed term – one year

• Preparing briefings and resources that support our social mission

• Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience

• Strong organisational and project management abilities
• A collaborative working style and attention to detail
• A commitment to our mission and values, and an interest in Catholic Social Teaching

• Experience with virtual learning platforms, graphic design, or working in a faith-based organisation
