Battersea is undertaking a transformational data strategy programme (known as Launchpad) aiming to transform how we collect, store and use information and data about our animals and supporters. As well as moving all of our data onto a new custom designed single system, we’re seeking to build the skills of our colleagues so that we’re ready to use our new system and make best use of the information we have to be a more data driven and insight led organisation.

This newly created role will work with key stakeholders across the charity to drive transformation and deliver the desired business outcomes and benefits relating to Launchpad, and be responsible for leading and executing the people and culture workstreams and other strategic change initiatives to support interconnected projects to achieve successful implementation and benefits realisation of this programme.

The role holder will be a great collaborator and influencer and will have the ability to work with a range of stakeholders to manage & deliver complex projects in a fast-moving environment with tight deadlines.

Hybrid working policy:

About the role:

The Specialist Housing Advocate will work within a dynamic, fast paced team to provide intervention, advocacy and support that empowers women and ensures that the voice of survivors informs every stage of their journey towards improved safety. This is a new and exciting service, and we are looking for someone passionate about ensuring that all survivors of domestic abuse are able to access safe and appropriate accommodation which meets their needs.

To be successful as the Senior Specialist Housing Advocate you will need the below experience and skills: 

You will bring solid experience of supporting women who have experienced domestic abuse in all its forms; coming from a sector with transferrable skills or possess a feminist/VAWG higher level qualification. 

You will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on survivors and their children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and housing sectors. You will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. The post holder will hold a caseload of survivors and will also be required to support Advance’s duty team on a rota basis which will involve completing intake assessments and providing crisis intervention support.

Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea

Healthwatch was set up in 2013 to champion the rights of health and social care users, and hold the health and social care system to account for how well it engages with the public. Its remit covers all publicly funded health and social care services for adults and children.

About the role

The role is to lead the work of Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea, working with a small skilled staff team and a range of volunteers and other community stakeholders. In particular, you will share our commitment to embed user engagement and community development at the heart of the Healthwatch service model, empowering user voices and improving access to health services. 

You’ll have an opportunity to develop the service in line with our ambitious vision. This will include leading on the planning and delivery of targeted projects, supporting a diverse and varied engagement programme, and building relationships with a range of strategic partners. The Healthwatch Manager (Kensington & Chelsea) also takes the lead on managing our local Advisory Board.  You will work closely with the Healthwatch teams in Westminster and Brent. 

Key responsibilities

 Ensure Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea’s work conforms to all required principles, objectives and statutory obligations, and meets all contractual requirements between The Advocacy Project and Brent Council. 

 Manage and motivate a small staff team to deliver an effective and vibrant local Healthwatch.

 Provide leadership to make sure the patient and public voice is heard across health, social care, children’s and other sectors in a continuously changing external environment. 

 Support the effective working of the Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea Advisory Board. 

 Ensure local communities are able to participate fully in our work, particularly those that are least likely to have had their voices listened to. Support these communities in influencing local and national policy. 

 Represent Healthwatch Kensington & Chelsea at strategic governance and external meetings with key stakeholders, liaising with nominated Board leads regularly. 

 Develop the service to respond to emerging trends and needs, keeping abreast of Healthwatch England best practice to continually enhance the quality of the service. 

 Monitor the service to make sure it delivers to time, budget and quality; provide reports evidencing this to key stakeholders, including local commissioners, Healthwatch Advisory Board, the Bi-borough Health and Wellbeing Board and Healthwatch England. 

 Develop effective partnerships with key staff in health and social care services. 

 Work with the communications and engagement lead to make sure all relevant internal and external stakeholders receive relevant, timely and up-to-date communication about all Healthwatch projects. 

 Work with the Healthwatch Service Manager and Head of Business Development to identify opportunities for funding additional work which will add value to our Healthwatch services.

Vibrance has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our team in Newham and Beckton. You will join us on a full-time basis working 37 hours a week, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £28,000 to per annum, plus benefits.

Your rota will be split between supporting our clients at across several 24hr care projects and homes.

As such you will be expected to work a mix of shifts including some weekends and bank holidays.

You will maintain high standards of service, design personalised support plans, provide emotional support and help residents to live a full, active life both at home and in the community. This will include going out for activities such as music concerts, days by the sea, fun fairs, meals out and holidays etc.

Because of our specific service user needs you must be able to push a wheelchair and use a variety of hoists.

The Role

As a Professional Regulations Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams who carry out investigations through to the final Fitness to Practise hearings as well as matrix management across the fitness to practise function. ROLE DETAILS 

Standing Voice is looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager based in or near London to join our UK team. This is an exciting and challenging role in a creative and focused working environment, within an organisation with multiple programmes and funding streams across 3 countries. This position suits an ambitious and experienced fundraiser, equipped with excellent written and oral communication skills and a depth of donor management experience. 

The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director and be tasked with advancing & implementing Standing Voice’s Fundraising Strategy including writing grants proposals; diversifying & scaling-up the organisation’s income streams; and managing donor relations and reporting. As well as working alongside UK fundraising, programmes and finance colleagues, the Fundraising Manager will work directly with our teams in Tanzania and Malawi to design and generate project proposals. 

Suitable candidates will demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills; a high level of organisation and accuracy in their work; and concrete experience of generating income through trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, institutional donors, philanthropy partnerships, and individual giving. RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop SV’s Fundraising Strategy

• Identify, research and implement innovative funding methods to diversify and strengthen SV’s income base

• Secure funding from a diverse portfolio of new and existing donors, including: trusts and foundations; corporate partnerships; institutional donors; philanthropy partnerships; and individual giving

• Host meetings with philanthropists and foundation directors to generate interest in SV’s work and secure support 

• Manage SV’s grant research to maintain a database of viable funding opportunities for the organisation

• Lead the development and writing of concept notes, proposals, presentations and pitches to prospective donors

• Draft funder reports in collaboration programmes and finance teams, and manage report submissions in line with funder agreements

• Work effectively with the Head of Programmes and Partnerships and Finance Manager to collate project information, in order to enhance funding applications and reports

• Manage SV’s donor management tools

• Build relationships with our donors to foster long-term partnerships

• Identify and execute funding campaigns, including our annual Big Give Christmas match funding challenge

• Track and monitor fundraising progress, trends, and insights, and provide reports to executive management and the Board of Trustees

• Recruit new staff and volunteers to the fundraising team in line with available budget

• Delegate effectively to fundraising team members, ensuring tasks are clearly defined, properly supported and well monitored

Women’s Aid is the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children. As Project Manager, the successful candidate will play an integral role in working across the organisation to ensure that sound project management principles are being used in all aspects of our work. You will support the Head of Strategic Programmes to effectively schedule and monitor the projects, programmes and core business activity across the organisation, in line with our key strategic goals.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Project Manager: 

• Full scale project management of key strategic projects across a project’s full life cycle, to deliver within scope, on time, on budget, and within quality commitments. This includes designing project models, allocating resources, scheduling, monitoring, stakeholder communications, reporting and budget management. 

• Assessing and recommending to the senior leadership team the viability and suitability of new proposed projects. 

• Continually ensuring project specific risks are identified, assessed and mitigated, and escalating to senior managers as appropriate. 

• Supporting the creation, embedding and monitoring of performance and outcome measures relating to project deliverables.

• Monitoring and managing interdependencies between projects across the organisation, and ensuring that projects are delivered in line with Women’s Aid’s strategic objectives. 

• Building professional and functional working relationships with key stakeholders, across all levels, to ensure optimum information flow and understanding of key business areas.

What we are looking for in our Project Manager: 

Essential: 

• Substantial (5+ years) proven experience in project planning and execution, monitoring and reporting, and achievement of objectives. 

• Experience managing large (£50k+) and complex (e.g. cross-cutting multiple teams/functions) budgets. 

• Ability to work at pace and deliver to deadlines, prioritising work depending on organisational need.

• Ability to interpret top-line briefs and turn these into practical action.

• Ability to identify and manage project-based risks and issues, identify key decision points and define options for decision-makers. 

• Ability to work on own initiative to meet objectives in a complex, changing environment 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation and presenting to a wide range of audiences 

• Knowledge of a variety of project management principles and frameworks.

Chalk Farm Tenant Management Organisation (TMO) is looking for a competent leader with a passion for social housing to manage our housing organisation.

Located close to the historic Camden Market, the TMO provides housing services and community activities for residents of the estate. Sustainably funded by Camden Council long term, this is an ideal opportunity for a candidate with experience in management and a real interest in social housing, who values the autonomy of working in a small and close knit organisation.

As estate manager, your main duties will be to:

1. Give the TMO the strategy it needs to deliver an excellent housing service for residents.

2. Ensure that the TMO is adequately and responsibly resourced.

3. Ensure that the TMO complies with the Management Agreement signed with Camden Council, all applicable legislation, and current best practice.

4. Provide effective day-to-day leadership, management and supervision of staff.

5. Uphold a service culture which puts residents’ satisfaction at the heart of delivery. 

6. Ensure the effective delivery of the TMO’s housing management functions.

7. Work in partnership with the committee to deliver continuous improvement and good value across all TMO managed and contracted services.

This could be you if you have:

• 4 years+ experience of managing staff, and at least 2 years experience of reporting to a board;

• good knowledge of housing law or current issues relating to social housing;

• experience in procuring contracts and managing contractors;

• a proactive, can-do attitude, and an ability to motivate a team;

• excellent numerical and IT literacy, including a record of preparing and scrutinising budgets;

• Either a Level 4 Certificate in Housing, or an undergraduate degree (2:1 or above), and are prepared to enrol in the 1 year online Level 4 course by the Chartered Institute for Housing. 

The TMO is prepared to fund the Level 4 course, and to support a bright manager with a successful track record of delivery to transition into social housing.
