About the role

This new role will be part of our Supporter Engagement team, which includes Special and Challenge Events Fundraising, Community Fundraising, Individual Giving and Supporter Care. Our Special Events programme has expanded significantly in recent years, and we
have ambitious plans as part of our new three-year strategy. As part of this, we organise a diverse range of fundraising events, including a Comedy Night, Garden Party, Sports Quiz, Carol Service and Gala dinner.

Working closely with the Head of Supporter Engagement, the Special Events Officer will play a key role in developing and managing our special events programme. This includes overseeing multiple aspects of event planning and execution, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team to produce high-quality event materials and ensuring that every event runs smoothly. Additionally, you will help manage key relationships and maximise fundraising income.

A key focus of this role will be leading the organisation of our annual Carol Service at St Margaret’s Church, Westminster Abbey, while also exploring opportunities to develop a new special event that diversifies our income streams and broadens our audience.
You will also stay ahead of industry trends, conducting competitor research and analysis to ensure our events remain innovative, competitive, and appealing to supporters.

Main duties

• Supporting the co-ordination and delivery of our special events programme.
• Manage the core elements of special events delivery such as the co-ordination of auction prizes, guest lists, guest requirements, admin and communications.
• Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to produce event materials including event programmes.
• Support the Philanthropy Officer with the organisation of our annual cultivation event.
• Support the Head of Supporter Engagement to identify opportunities for income growth from special events with the view to develop a new Special event within the portfolio.
• Ensure that appropriate and compliant risk assessment, health and safety procedures, protocols and policies are implemented for all special events.

Key responsibilities

• In conjunction with the Operations Coordinator Manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
• To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.
• To ensure that all The Passage policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Code of Practice and Confidentiality.
• To contribute to the effective implementation of The Passage’s Diversity and Equality Policy as it affects both The Passage and its work with vulnerable adults.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Database Officer to support our Public Fundraising team.

Salary: Starting salary £31,350 rising to £35,381, plus £3,285 London Weighting (subject to change following pay review)
Hours: Full time – 32 hours per week as part of our adjusted working week pilot. This may revert to 35 hours from July 2025.

This exciting Database Officer role will support the data team with data imports, data selections and processing of income.

The Foundation has just started using a new CRM after undergoing a CRM migration from Raiser’s Edge, a very exciting time to be joining the Foundation! This role, alongside with other members of the data team, will liaise with the CRM Project Teams to support and ensure the successful outcome of the project and get us up to BAU.

What does the role involve?

• Manage data processes, imports and exports of all fundraising data including direct debits, new donors, email sign ups etc.in accordance with agreed protocols and in agreement with Database Manager.
• Ensure that the use of the Fundraising database and the capture of all data from supporters or prospects conforms to data protection guidelines including GDPR in particular relating to supporter preferences and consent.
• Support training for colleagues using the new CRM (Beacon) and help ensure all members are trained and kept up to date on new features and enhancements as they require to do their job effectively.
• Support the reconciliation of the bank statement with Beacon and ensure the Finance team know where to find information to enable accurate coding for management accounts.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

• Demonstrable relevant experience working in Fundraising, or a Charity database team role using Beacon, Raiser’s Edge or any database similar, with experience of CRMs in general.
• Evidenced experience of managing high volumes of personal data using a large and complex supporter/CRM database.
• Evidenced ability to think analytically and deliver the most effective and accurate solutions for data capture, manipulation and reporting.

Foothold Communications Officer

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administrator to support the smooth running of our Programmes and Operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our logistics, partnerships, and communications run efficiently, allowing us to reach and support more young people. RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme & Operations Support

• Support the coordination of OSH’s residentials, events, and programmes, ensuring logistics run smoothly.

• Support with phoning participants and referrers to support them to complete sign up forms where necessary

• Track and monitor referral processes, ensuring smooth communication and follow-ups with referrers to maximise participation at our events

• Maintain good relationships with external partners such as venues, facilitators, transport companies and other organisations we work with. 

Finance & Compliance Support

• Assist with financial administration, such as processing invoices, logging donations, and tracking expenses.

• Ensure OSH meets data protection and safeguarding requirements, keeping records up to date.

Other duties

• Getting involved in OSH events in the evenings and at weekends, including residentials. These are overnight trips from 2 to 5 nights

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Experience in the charity, youth, or refugee/migrant sector.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

We are seeking a Finance Officer with a keen eye for detail, and an aptitude for learning new skills, to take on purchase ledger and payroll administration duties in our Finance Department.   You will have either begun on the path of attaining a financial qualification or had some experience in a similar role.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all purchases, payments and returns, including supplier invoices, staff payments (salaries, expenses and advances), project and contractor payments and credit card transactions.  Responsible for project reporting against budget.

• Ownership of the purchase ledger system, administering the entire process of invoice receiving, checking, coding, distributing for approval, posting to the accounts software (currently Sage), setting up domestic and international payments for authorisation, and electronic filing of documents.
• Administering all credit card returns including distribution of statements to colleagues, checking and coding returns, collating documents, submitting for line-manager approval, posting to Sage and following up on outstanding items.

We are seeking an Exhibitions and Collections Projects Manager to join the Crafts Council on a permanent basis. This is a vital role in the Public Programmes team to oversee the maintenance and development of Crafts Council Collections and the delivery of key temporary exhibitions.

Reporting to the Senior Collections and Programme Manager, this role will ensure the Crafts Council Collections are documented and preserved to a high standard for future generations. They will also support the strategic development of the Crafts Council’s programme, managing relationships with external commercial partners, artists and institutions, overseeing project budgets and timelines and contributing to reporting and evaluation frameworks.

• Ensure maximum impact from National Lottery Heritage Funded project 'Craft for the People' Is achieved, ensuring crafts council collection is available to a wider amount of people and is more resilient

• Lead on loans marketing and collections income generation projects

Ascension Community Trust (ACT) is a much-loved community-based charity in Custom
House, Newham. We deliver Newham District Foodbank (a Trussell foodbank run by ACT
and two community partners), welfare benefits advice, immigration advice, ESOL classes,
work with adults with learning difficulties, as well as work with children, young people and
their families.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and their experience includes working with
corporate companies, students, school children, people with lived experience of poverty,
refugees, asylum seekers, and adults with learning difficulties. Our mission statement –
“Enabling the whole community to make the community whole” – means that we work with
all members of our community and promote integration.

We are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills, who can welcome and listen to
prospective volunteers to find out their interests, skills and goals and match them with the
right volunteering opportunity.

You will work two days a week with Newham District Foodbank strategic partners to mobilise
volunteers across our three delivery sites, and one day a week to support volunteer
involvement across the rest of ACT. You will need to be able to think outside the box to spot
opportunities – across all our projects – to invite volunteers to join in with our mission,
whether that’s regular volunteering, one-off projects or using their skills to help us with
strategy or communications.

You will also need to be methodical, making sure references are taken up and DBS-checks
are completed, as well as tracking and recording volunteers’ training. To make this easier
you will help us implement the ‘Assemble’ volunteer management software across Newham
District Foodbank’s three partners.

The Risk & Compliance Officer supports the Deputy Director of Business Operations Support (DDBOS) is ensuring the NT has suitable arrangements in place in respect of risk and compliance. They help the DDBOS to manage the NT’s risk management and compliance processes to ensure the NT has the best opportunity to prevent issues arising, minimise risks and maximise opportunities and to ensure that the NT meets its regulatory responsibilities.

The Risk and Compliance Officer will support the development and management of the NTs:

• Data Protection Governance and management
• Major Incident Plan maintenance and testing
• Policy Register and Policies
• Risk management processes, including monitoring, reporting and internal engagement
• Compliance management processes, including monitoring, reporting and improvement to reduce risk

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• Previous role in risk and/or compliance.
• Advanced knowledge of Data Protection/GDPR.
• Strong report writing skills that include clear and concise wording and use of visuals, charts etc.
• Able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally including interpretation of complex concepts.
• Experience creating and delivering training programmes.

Purpose

Responsibilities 

• Lead the development and implementation of a content strategy to grow audience engagement through the Association’s website, e-newsletter and LabMed News (our member magazine). 
• Manage and innovate the content on Lab Tests Online (our patient-facing site) including supporting the Editor with editorial and review processes. 
• Liaise with editorial boards to ensure our digital content remains insightful and  relevant. 
• Commission, edit, and deliver high-quality content in partnership with editors, contributors, and topic experts. 
• Support the Publications and Communications Committee to ensure consistent quality and alignment with organisational goals. 
• Explore and implement opportunities for revenue generation through advertising and paid content. 
• Produce the Association’s Annual Report and contribute to business planning in collaboration with boards and teams. 
• Supervise the Marketing and Communications Officer, providing clear direction and support.

About the role

• Review reported AINMs and Safeguarding alerts and work collaboratively with teams to implement effective remedial actions, supporting future mitigation
• Conduct regular service visits and team meetings, focusing on safety reviews, training, and provide practical, informed guidance during these engagements
• Manage data and analyse trends, creating high quality reports, which are clear and readable
• Facilitate and support organisational complaints processes to ensure adherence to policy, timescale, and best practice

About you

• Previous experience in complaints and incident handling, safeguarding, data protection, and audits

• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, and ability to confidently use and utilise Microsoft programs
